Hey Eric, I just want to thank you so much for all the content! After having a BQ run it my scopes the last 3 years, I just ran 2:53 in Mesa over the weekend. (got emotional just typing that sentence lol) I shaped a lot of my training around your previous builds which helped me a ton. I really appreciate all the transperency and work you've put in through this channel its been a gamechanger to my fitness and lifestyle. If I do make the cut on time. I would love to join a shakeout run if you have one to meet the community. Keep it up man, much love 🤙
Wow. This is so surreal to hear. Thanks for sharing & CONGRATS!! What an achievement. So happy I could be a part of helping, but you put in the work & got that time. Would love to see you in Boston!!
I mean this in the absolutely best way possible. These vlogs almost have a little retro of earlier days of RUclips vlogs. Just feels so clean and classic and so good. Obviously production quality is insane, but the vibe is so nice.
Your content is always inspiring and so apart from a lot of people. Definitely the filmmaker in you making the running content the best!! Loving this new series!
Eric, this episode was so awesome! Production is getting better every single episode!! And about the 'it's wild how many strangers said hi' - remember that those strangers are sometimes just friends you haven't met yet! Big things are coming for you and Clark, and I'm so excited for both of you!! Go One More
Panic Attack in a Michael's is one of my new favorite songs. Floberg not only delivers incredible running content and motivation but also turns you on to new music. Unreal
My new favorite channel! Although your speeds are WAY faster than mine your journey is so relatable and such a joy to watch. Thank you for everything you do and the effort in making your content so stellar. The time and effort is not going unnoticed!
Great job on your progress Eric. Right on target. I cannot emphasize enough about the Newton Hills. They come at a tough part of Boston. Keep working incline on your treadmill late during your runs. That is the real tough part of Boston. It would be cool if you hit 1:15 at the half because of those hills. I ran Boston twice and have some experience with the Newton Hills.
Another great one! I've told my wife how this Floberg guy on RUclips is one of my favs and he makes some great stuff - every time I watch his stuff, I want to go out for a run. Finally, I showed her one of your videos last week, and she was so impressed with your videography! Be about it!
Got my marathon in LA in a month after nearly a 10 year marathon hiatus (KC 2014 3:08). You are definitely an inspiration to keep grinding even when the long runs feel awfully long
I got so pumped up watching ur videos especially this year bc doing my first Boston - was fighting at CIM for my very first sub3 now going for 2:55 then Chicago to break 2:50 - I feel like the workout you use to do a year ago I am doing them now at age 45 4th marathon I will break 2:45 one day 🖤🏁
LETS GO. Love to see a new ep. I recently got fitted for some insoles that help with my medial collapse on my strides and I think it’s removing my shin splits. (Paired with strength training and stretching) stoked to get back into my half block. Thanks for the motivation Eric!
Made me nostalgic seeing the lake path - ran along there in October when I was over for the marathon ❤ Training looks like it’s going well 💪💪 Good luck 😊😊
Great video! I thought you were building something with the kids and was good to see the ending. I might try the same with lego blocks, more space friendly 🙂
As to why you get attention from random people. People love a good, decent and humble person and want him to suceed. Following you on your way. Best of luck.
This will be the 20th Anniversary of my first Boston when I trained and aimed for a sub 3. Race day came and the weather had another plan for me as it was 86F degrees that Patriot's Day :( Good luck
Thanks for watching! I actually never ran in high school or college formally - just occasional runs here and there. I was in track & cross country in 7th & 8th grade though
You deserve all the recognition. You're such a role model and great advocate for the sport. Thanks for making me want to push myself and get better everyday 🫡
I'm usually hyrdrated well enough to not need any fluids for anything 13 miles (21km) or less - but I've been carrying a soft flask on almost every run this block so far!
Which heart rate monitor is that at on ur arm? How do you like it? Not a fan of the chest straps. Love your content btw parents recently moved to Chicago super cool running where I always see u run on these videos
He is using the Coros Optical Arm heart rate sensor. I have the Polar optical arm heart rate sensor and I love it. I wasn't a fan of the chest strap since it was uncomfortable but I don't even feel the arm band and it's just as accurate
This early on, I don't believe it's super necessary. These workouts seem to be just getting my legs moving again pairing with increasing volume. I have my first real workout today of 10x800 & he did subscribe a 2:40-2:45 on those. :)
I always say lactate threshold is an effort not a pace. Our bodies don’t have a built in speedometer or GPS. It doesn’t know what pace we’re running per mile. All it knows is effort and duration. So nailing down what that HR is can be a bit more telling of effort rather than pace 🤷🏼♀️ just my two cents
His watch would have given him a pace and a HR that is his lactate threshold most likely (mine does). I think it's just easiest for him to convey to us as a pace. He definitely ran it to effort as into the headwind and slight incline he ran slower than what his watch said was LT pace and then with the tailwind he ran faster.
Eric, love your content! But, I'm going to be the jerk who calls you out for having your camera person riding a motorized bike thing on the lakefront path (and on the pedestrian sections in some parts). Not respectful for the other pedestrians/ riders.
My new favorite channel! Although your speeds are WAY faster than mine your journey is so relatable and such a joy to watch. Thank you for everything you do and the effort in making your content so stellar. The time and effort is not going unnoticed!😊
The production value on these is just nuts.
Appreciate that :)
Eric is literally stacking bricks on this training block lol
🤘
Eric has got to build something with those bricks when done!! Get those kids to help you build .
Best production of any running content creator out there. Feel like it’s a matter of time before you blow up!
Really appreciate that. Thanks so much!!

I personally loved it. Its a extremely fast course. Kind of feels like a cheat code tbh@@briantrinque5513

Aw, that means so much. Thank you!! If I can keep channeling my inner Casey Neistat, I'll be super happy :)
I like your ideas of stacking bricks , its reflect how hard to go through training. Best of luck for traning and your goal Bos sub 2:35
Thank you!!
Your content is always inspiring and so apart from a lot of people. Definitely the filmmaker in you making the running content the best!! Loving this new series!
Appreciate you, Javi!!
Great video Eric. I'm also pushing for a 2:35-2:30 marathon in April, so really enjoying going through the journey whilst watching you :)
Thanks for following along!!

Thanks for watching!!
My new favorite running cahnnel right there. These videos are pure bliss. So smart, so enjoyable, so inspirational...

@@flobergruns hope to see you in Boston it’s my city would love to show you around even tho I live in CA these days .
Lookin really smooth. Love that first workout of a training block. There's so much enthusiasm in your legs to kick ass.
Also, you should start a Discord where runners can connect to run long runs together.
Thx for bringing us along on this journey! The production value is top notch! I assume it’s quite expensive to make these videos?
Keep it up Eric, your videos are top notch! That intro sound is wild too, sooooo good!
Thank you!!!
Very inspirational. You keep me showing up!
loving every single episode of your journey! giving you all my support and love from Singapore 🇸🇬!
Thank you so much!!!

It's the best!! Thanks so much!
Man that into song is so perfect for this series. Immediately sets the tone for these videos, excellent choice my guy 🤙🏼
Appreciate that feedback. Felt like the right choice to have an anthem for the series :)
The Lord Farquaad jump cut was absolutely amazing!
Let's go!!! So stoked to cheer for you on the course in April dude!
Thanks for the support!!
Great video! I thought you were building something with the kids and was good to see the ending. I might try the same with lego blocks, more space friendly 🙂
I look forward to Floberg Runs videos more than any other on YT 🔥
That seriously means so much. Thank you!!
One of the best routes in Chicago, have put so many miles on that path. Keep it up!
The best!! Thank you!!
Following this build! You mentioned tendinitis/tendinopathy. I’m dealing with this myself rn. Any guidance?
Outrageous content. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!!
Finally, on the video! Floberg woooooh!
Was that you on the path??
Yes! Great job out there man, cant wait to watch your vid smashing your goal!! 💯🔥
Feels good to see you run the same routes I run when I in the city.
Best city in the world!! Can't wait to see you crush an ultra!!
Loving the series.. Such an inspiration
Thanks for watching!!
Huge kudos for duplicating the distance and the tempo in kms! 🙌
Got to! American measuring is stupid hahaha
@@flobergruns haha, not stupid, just beyond comprehension for us in Europe. 😅
Stacking the bricks goes hard. Incredible content as always brother
Thanks so much!!
What are you doing for your tendinitis? I’m currently recovering from it but I’m afraid it will come back once I pick up running again.
Love all the marathon playlists! Keeps me motivated to train. What pants were those on the LR?
Thanks for watching! I believe those are from Path Projects!
Brick by brick. 🙌🏼
Badass bro keep up the good work
Thanks so much!!
any reason you use a soft flask vs a hand held running water bottle (e.g. a Nathan one)?
As to why you get attention from random people. People love a good, decent and humble person and want him to suceed. Following you on your way. Best of luck.
Really appreciate that perspective. Thanks for the kind words!
did your son dirty 7:02, clip had no business being that long 🤣
Oh no - he was quoting that video hahahaha
Love the bricks! 🧱
Love your videos they look so great (Like a movie)

I see a Floberg video - i click
I see a comment on Floberg video, I respond.
Babe, wake up, new Floberg video dropped
So inspiring!! I love your videos. Were you always a runner like in high school or college? :)
Thanks for watching! I actually never ran in high school or college formally - just occasional runs here and there. I was in track & cross country in 7th & 8th grade though
It sounds like you had a good week of training. Bricks! what a great idea.
Awesome week! Stoked to keep building :)
What is your shoe rotation?
The cut to Home Depot after "Dad" 🧑🍳💋
:)
is your weight lower then when you ran your first couple marathons?
cant help but route for this guy!
Much love!!
That hair is putting the flow on floberg
😏
Doing the same but for Chicago 2024: just done 2.38 at Berlin. Let’s go sub 2.35 mission
Let's goo!!! I'll be at Chicago for sure!
Same race, same goal time… throw in some Tendonitis mgmt as well. Love the content man. See you in Boston 🇺🇸
Amazing!! I'll see you there!!
Omg shout out to your child for the meme reference 😂😂
hahaha - so happy I've showed them the all time greats
I’m curious, isn’t Boston a hilly course. How are you preparing for it?
That one overpass 4 miles from my house over the highway
You deserve all the recognition. You're such a role model and great advocate for the sport. Thanks for making me want to push myself and get better everyday 🫡
Isso aí, de tijolo em tijolo você constrói um castelo!
I think this guy is about it.
How do u drink so little water for such a long run(Day 1, 16 km)?
I'm usually hyrdrated well enough to not need any fluids for anything 13 miles (21km) or less - but I've been carrying a soft flask on almost every run this block so far!

panic attack in a michael's by Timothy Edward Carpenter :)

Hey Eric, I am from South Africa and it is awesome that I get to “catch-up” with how your training is going.
Also don’t cut your hair lol
Stoked that you're able to follow along :) - and I'm so sorry, but it has to go soon hahaha

Yup, what hunter said. Ran it to feel mostly. Didn't care about pace much at all.
I can’t understand how you can find time to run close to a hour almost every day.
Usually getting up at 4:30-5:00 does the trick.
BTW, I’ve heard WD40 is bad for treadmills
WD-40 is a cleaner. You need lubricant. WD-40 is just going to clean off what little lubricant remains.
good to know! Thank you!!
Should have got that WD40 while you were at Home Depot!
hahahaha
Keep smashing it man, follow you on instagram also and love seeing all the content. Youre inspiring! Also love the stacking bricks idea
Thanks so much!!
