Question unrelated to the nutcracker ... Sorry but I keep missing the live sessions. Can you recommend a waterproofing product for the insides of vases, hollow forms and goblets, to make them functional instead of just decorative???? Thanks so much if you can answer this ine, even if it's not on topic.

Hi Simon, the following reply is from Colwin - "If I'm honest then I'm not sure of a food safe product that really works however there is a process used on wine and whiskey barrels involving heat. Take a look at Joe Lairds website and specificly his Whiskey tumblers for more info joelairdwoodturning.com/home-page/whiskey-tumblers/nggallery/page/1."

Loving all these projects you've done . Cn never catch you Live as too busy in the day. So a question I wanted to ask a while back. Is it possible to turn Apple? I'm about to cut down an old tree and rather than give it to someone to burn it. Could anything be made from it or does it lend itself to certain projects? Cheers

Hi James, the following reply is from Colwin - "Apple is a lovely timber to turn, traditionally used for skittle balls as it fairly dense and durable, can have some amazing colour as well."

@@axminster Thx Colwin. I'm also going to cut down some Plum and Damson so I guess the same Yes answer applies. Got several vids to catch up on as haven't watched for a few sessions. Looking forward to them :D
