Thank you ,the carousel is a marvelous gift and really well explained instruction for the manufacture . I am NOT a wood turner but am finding your videos fascinating.
Very marvellous projects enjoyable to make. Very good explanation during the process. Each time we see tuition we learn something new. I appreciate a lot since I am new for wood turning. It's very interesting to create such a projects. Mr. Colwin I think if you publish a book with these projects with the measurements, type of woods and some explanations about the projects it's self and about the tools and lathe accessories surely their will be a large demand for it . Keep it up thanks again to you and to all the staff. Thanks.
That’s fantastic I’m going to try this, thank you for sharing colwyn x
So for those of us who don't have an indexed lathe, that's the major diameter divided by 30°. Wrap a string around the major diameter and mark where the string crosses itself. Those are your ends. Use your straight legged dividers to walk the string into 12 (actually 11 as the start and stop are the same) sections and mark. Wrap it back around the major and transfer the marks to the major diameter. Align with the centre and Bob's your uncle, Fannie's your aunt and the world is a better place.
Good instructions for this project but could you let me know where I could get the cup bearing from please.
