Yeah, definitely. They are the first band we've had in for a session that brought set decorations, extra lights, gels, and more. They care a lot and are very specific about their presentation. Cool band.
@@Glass_Caskets It would take a certain kind of drummer and also to reproduce these specific sonorities would require a lot of processing in a live situation. Saw these guys open for AFI in Nov 2022. I feel bad for a lot of unknown opening bands, but these guys were easily the best opening band I have seen. The crowd received them quite well too. Been regularly listening to them in my music rotation since that night.
I may have been at that show if you're talking about Chicago. The Riviera? Sometime around Nov 16 22. I thought it was cool of AFI to host them but I was only there to see DM. We left to get ramen after their set
@elysianfields84 - Same tour but Salt Lake City. Saw DM again last year (2023) when they opened for Slow Dive. Same thing as you, went for DM and left during Slow Dive.
Sad lovers and giants, Cocteau Twins, The Chamaleons, Asylum Party, Clan of Xymox, Killing Joke, Tears for Fears. High references here but they have found their personal sound. Love so much 🖤
Always there's good stuff, I'm sick of people saying x0's was the best decade or whatever. You keep digging you find gold now and again, that's just how it is.

I had the privilege of watching Drab Majesty open up for The Black Queen back in 2016. Bought the album “Careless” at the show after listening to their bandcamp page for over a month waiting for the show. Lol. Blew the entire audience away. Kinda felt like a double headliner show, tbh. It was TBQ’s first show and their album release. Insane sound and ethereal feeling. Drab slayed it.
Drab Majesty checks every box when it comes to music, aesthetic and live performance -- without being pretentious. They're a marvellous love letter to all the 80s songs I adore. What an incredible band. They deserve all of the successes that come their way. 🤍
awesome they remember me of deadsy those guys were my favorite band, now this , I love it, amoeba turned me on to youth code, and these guys! I grew up in the 80s so that is why I love this sound.
Skeletal33 sorry been awhile, but yes, I was infatuated with them when I was younger in my early twenties , bought every single first demo, and the old red chain shirt before they decided to make it blue. Finally got the blessing to see them open up for the deftones wrist tour in 2006 when they dropped phantasmagor, I got cool with the Texas legion manager and he gave me and my girlfriend at the time VIP passes all access , and it was a dream come true, I would dream about hanging out with deadsy before, and it finally happened, those guys where nothing but the most sweetest people a person could meet, Elijah was so cool to me! We had a small conversation about our cats! Alec pure asked if I had vicodin , which I did lol , cuz I was mentioning the problem with heroin , since Elijah was on a treatment, but was absolutely cool with me giving Alec a vike , his shoulder was sore from the past few shows he said, so it was legit, I had a ingrown toenail removed the day before, and we even talked about that! Such a down to earth band , I miss the f#$%K out of them.
The statue reminds of an old new Order record ... this music is so fascinating and reminds me of old Times of the Chameleons "strange Times" ... this band is so extraordinary to be in 2017 ....wow !
They were doung a "Whats in my Bag" epusode and i believe it was Deafhaven that siggested it. Brilliant buy. No one mentions the Sisters of Mercy vibe with the drummer machine.
