  • Bought a new Zebra Billy Can, so as with all my Billy Cans I made some metal pot clips.

This is not a tutorial, I was knocking a couple up and thought it would be nice to share how to quickly make them with very few tools and no skill. Of course you could take your time and measure carefully to get a perfect fit but all I need is something to stop the the handle collapsing while pouring liquids. Hope this inspires you to make your own.
It is not difficult to do and does not require a lot of skill. I used 2mm stainless steel it's probably a little overkill but they are really sturdy and will last forever. Just about any 1.5mm steel rod would probably work just fine. Brick ties are popular for this sort of thing if you are able to source them.
By the way I made a more informative video a couple of years ago if it is of any use and also check out a video/tutorial by Simon A Bloke In the Woods, he covered just about everything there is to know on the subject.
If you like my content feel free to subscribe if you have not already done so and tell your friends about that stove bloke who cooks outside a lot as it really helps (Yes I know RUclipsrs are always asking for a subscription. I am a small channel and your support really would help but only if if you think my work merits it).
I have added an eBay link below to where I bought my Zebra Pot if it is of any use to you. If not just ignore it.

" I made metal clips for my 16mm Zebra pot by getting a large metal " binder clip" ( black metal rectangle with silver " wings", Not a paper clip) removing the wings and bending them with pliers. The original plastic clips mount from the Outside, squeeze the new clips enough to fit the holes from the Inside, then bend to fit. No cutting, filing, etc."

That is so weird, I just got a 10cm Zebra from eBay, 2 days ago. I was also wishing I had metal clips for it. Just need the 16cm now and I’ll have them all.

Lol the 10cm was the only one I was missing until a couple of days ago when it arrived from eBay

Would anybody be kind enough to make/sell me a pair of these? I'll pay for postage + send £5 over for them? It would be much appreciated.
