I’ve just harvested my Hungarian paprika peppers that I grew from seeds bought from Renees garden and they look amazing, making powder today thanks for the tips on dehydrating
Excellent! I’m so happy I found your page today. I’m trying to grow most of my own food this year and I realized today that Paprika is one of my main spices and yet I didn’t know how to grow it. I suppose I need to get some seeds! I use paprika in a Hungarian goulash which is so good in the winter ❤️
Thanks for the video. Please can you describe the taste of Magyar pepper if eaten raw: is it sweeter than the average red bell pepper, or is there anything special about it? This is important for me, as ordering them online is more difficult to non US residents, and I only intend to order it if it is worthy.
That seed packet looked familiar, it is Renee's Garden seeds. I picked 6 ripe peppers today and tomorrow the red with dark tints should be ready for picking tomorrow. I tried oven drying but then got a dehydrator for the rest of the peppers. Dont wipe your eyes after picking😊. Igen jo, kossenem!
Hi. Thanks for the video. New to paparika and I did smoke then dehydrate some but my Ninja doesn't get them down to a powder. What grinder do you have?
So excited to try this! I have just ordered my seeds. Are these seeds Heirloom or Open-Pollinated, or are they hybrid? Thank you so much for your clarification!
definitely the most flavorful way drying them naturally. I live in a humid temperate region though so unfortunately I can't do grapes left on the trellis or peppers. It's definitely the richest flavor though if you can do that. I can't tell where she lives
What kind of mill did you use to bring that up? I've been looking into them and I keep finding ones with ceramic grinding wheels. My experience with those so far has been that they chip and you have bits of ceramic in your food.

Easy enough, guess we will put a couple of those in the garden next year

Thanks. We just started growing them for the first time. Can’t wait to harvest them. 💯👍🏽

It just tastes like a regular pepper. It's not meant to be eaten raw. We only ship to US and Canada, just so you know.
Thank you for the video, very helpful. By the way, Magyar means Hungarian.

You're one of the best seed companies!I wonder if you could let them air dry?I tried it before but they went moldy
Make sure there is enough ventilation, like a sandwich of screens in a dry area.

Just a regular coffee grinder

These seeds are heirloom
If you have a freeze dryer you can freeze dry them too.
Question, couldn't you save the seed to plant more Paprika?
Thank you ❤
What mill did you use to grind please? And what product desiccant?
What brand of grinder are you using?
Any coffee grinder will do.
wow your plants are huge. what about just letting them naturally dry?

How long in the oven
Until they shrink a bit and look dry
🙏👍
