Sonic Tools S15 Toolbox Review and Tour [958 TOOLS]

The Sonic S15 Toolbox is definitely not the first tools from Sonic that we've used or reviewed. In fact, we first laid our hands on the Sonic Tool S10 box way back in 2016, and we've been very impressed. This S15 box is the biggest they make and you can get it loaded with 958 pieces, or you can custom fill it with the tools and trays that you want.
If you haven't had the luxury of using the Sonic system yet, you need to check it out. When you order Sonic Tools, they come to you, shrink-wrapped, in their foam tray, labeled for each tool, and ready to just lay in your tool box drawer. Of course, you can also purchase a complete box from them, like this Sonic Tools S15 Toolbox. Their SFS foam system trays are available in Small, Medium, Large, and XD. This allows you to customize the layout of your toolbox, based on the drawer sizes.
Sonic Tools are lifetime guaranteed, and you don't have to worry about taking them back to the store or waiting on a tool truck. You just jump on their website, fill out the form, they ship you a new tool, and you may have to stick the broken tool in the supplied box, with the return label and ship it back. This full S15 Toolbox weighs in at about 1,300 pounds and it costs about $14,200. Now, that's a big chunk of money, for anyone. However, compared to other tool-truck brands, it's only a fraction of their price.
Snap On told me unless I bought the box new the warranty does not transfer. Sonic chat rep asked if i had the box? I said yes he said then the warranty is yours. Period. Not left at mercy of some truck. You buy not only the box you buy a service. My S14 you can swap out drawers and insert bigger ones. Sonic is one underrated brand

I’ll have this box some day! Can’t tell you how many times I just want to pull a mat out and boom everything you need! Do they sell any type box for service trucks? Hell if not I’ll fab boxes for the mats!
I don't think they sell anything specific for service truck boxes, but they do sell the foam trays in 4 different sizes. You could measure the boxes/drawers and find which trays work for each dimension. It's really a great setup. Thanks for watching and commenting.

Look in to the sonic mss+ line usually it’s used in the workspace it should have something that fits and they are sturdy as .....and the foam fits
This is my dream box! If I'm ever not poor I am going to buy one immediately. I've seen this video like 4 times lol. Maybe God willing one day I'll have one. For now my Icon better hold up lol

Compare their screw driver kit's price with Snap On's. They had genuine leather box cover the other day for 80 bucks SO for plastic one was over 250. Keep eye on Sonic USA they have promotions going on so you don't have to buy all at once. Box alone S14 under 4k. Much better box than other boxes in same price range.
Nice review. My only nit pick is no soft lock when the drawers are open.

all my stuff is Kobalt and I've pieced it all together and probably have way more than I need but I pretty much have everything to work on my truck.
After watching this preview and looking at their lineup and what they have to offer and their warranty it is really tempting to invest in their lineup. I know a few guys getting ready to go to Automotive school so I will definitely be passing this on especially with the 35% discount.

THe longest screw driver could hold a couple of Sonic corn dogs an tater tots. Nice paper towel holder an stainless steel top to chop onions. lol
The tool box on it's own is 5k I paid 4500 for a brand new snap on box of the same size. I'm not a brand snob but after going to the website. I was very disappointed to see how high they prices where on these tools. I can tell you there isn't much of a price difference between these and the tool trucks
Looking at their catalogue, something of the same quality and smaller size from snapon is over 7k

I like the foam trays but I like metal handle ratchets like snap on’s. So they have a metal option?
Unfortunately, I think all the Sonic ratchets have a plastic/rubber handle. I don't believe they have any all steel handles. Thanks for watching.

In Germany we pay 8000€ for this box.
The smaller box with 605 parts costs about 5600-6000€.✌️

Why do the mechanics get to have all the fun? Don't look like it is deep enough ro hold a drill or other power tools
These are really nice tools and boxes. The bottom right drawer is deep enough for power tools. The top full-length drawer is also deep enough for lots of power tools. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews I ended up with the S14 aviation 2nd hand . Hard to describe the quality unless one sees it for one self. Best box by miles and more importantly never had such quick responses before from customer sevice guys. Still getting used to the locking mechanism feels a bit tough at first though but was nicely surprised at how easily auch a big box can be moved over a cement floor. Yup I think I have a new obsession. Can't decide between two S9's or a S12XD. Thank you for this, went on a whim and you were very right. Great product
Being honest 958 tools and at least 250 will be never used. I love 1/4 3/8 and 1/2" trays but trays with measure tape, those handle torx/hex, handsaw... or a knife... also that elastic screwdrivers with metric heads... the tools that nobody uses but every company gonna put into they trolleys... just to add tool pieces and rise the price

I agree overpriced but junk I couldn't tell you. I don't own any of their tools but just checked the website and they ain't much cheaper then the tool truck
