In this episode of Chef Kevin Belton’s Cooking Secrets he reveals an unusual technique for making light and tasty crab cakes. This recipe blends fresh crab with a flavor mixture that accentuates its sweetness without unnecessary ingredients.
The creole chef and host of the public television series “New Orleans Cooking with Kevin Belton” has been teaching the fundamentals of New Orleans cooking to appreciative audiences from around the world for over 20 years. Belton, who was recognized as one of the top Louisiana chefs by the American Culinary Federation, has been a featured chef and guest on numerous food programs including Emeril Live; Ready Set Cook; Live Love Lunch; Food Fighters; Taste of America; and Eating in the Bayou. In his public television series, Belton pulls back the curtain to show viewers that economy and simplicity are hallmarks of New Orleans’ flavorful cuisine. “Everybody says you make it look so easy, but I teach them that it is easy.”

FINALLY! someone who doesn’t just have a plain smooth crab cake! There’s onion in it for flavor and crunch! I add onion and celery to mine, but every recipe I’ve seen is the same and w no veggies/crunch!
Nice video :) the creole and hot sauce are awesome too! Gotta have the sweet, savory, spicy, acidic to it!

(: I don't like onions 😐, but I like them crunchy too, I add celery instead or another vegetable!!!!!
Because I think more flavor makes a real crab cake!!!!!....... 😚

      (: I agree with you on that!!!!!.......☺
      Aluminum, plastics, microwaves,..
and "right down the line", soy products, artificial sugars, modified food..................ugh..... :(
We have to start saying "NO"!!!!!
It's the consumer who buys and we should have a say!!!!! I used a package not too long ago to make pistachio pudding & it was "garbage"..... I like homemade but the "Jello" brand was always good, but everything has changed now!!!!!......... :(

Be careful to not ingest the aluminum foil, that could send you to the emergency room. Cutting into the food with aluminum on can get a piece in your food, that is not very safe.
