G&Ms fan here. I travel Two hours to Baltimore a couple times a year. And I don't leave without going there. I honestly couldn't tell you how any other dishes are. Cus I get a couple cakes every time.
@@LilyoftheValeyrising I'm coming from the VA direction. So it actually didn't affect me. Although for other parts of my trips it added about 15-20 min on those trips further in. However that was mid day Saturday.
Jimmy’s are some of the best. I love their flavor. Always consistent and I have never found any small shells in their cakes. I have 4 lbs of Jimmy’s on order for this 4th of July as an appetizer for my party guests.
I was sent near Baltimore on a TDY for training . I ate at many places, but don't remember any of these. I do remember some great crab cakes while there.
Oprah came to TV in Baltimore in 1976, to anchor the news, then moved on to one of our local talk shows with Richard Sher called People Are Talking. MD crabs have such a distant, sweet and succulent taste, its no surprise that she still craves them!
Came to B-More on a visit, went to G&M and have been hooked ever since...even ordered some online to be shipped... Only thing, that was really expensive...but well worth it...
I've had G&M and Jimmy's which are both amazing will need to try the others. Box Hill in Bel Air makes a delicious crab cake if you are ever in the area you should try them out
I have a hankering for some crab cakes The last one is definitely the best, especially when they're sided with french fries, coleslaw, lettuce and tomato slices.
GM seafood restaurant is the best. I had family stay at a hotel near by and took a chance going in since tjis was right before they fixed up the place after a fire but the next year the place was much bigger as was the crowd waiting in line for the carry out and trying to get a seat . The last time I was near by I spent $50 on crabcakes.
Wayne Garrison I spent a month in a Arundel Hills hotel and it was only 15 minutes to Linthicum Heights. I spent a ton of per diem in G&M. Also brought back a ton of chocolate creme cookies from the Royal Farms down the street. Yeah, I drove to a lot of towns in Maryland and ate other crab cakes but nothing could touch G&M. Plus the bartender was nice 👍
Not fair. Would love to have 1 from each restaurant NOW here in GA. 😅 would love to have known the price each restarant charges. Guess I'll have to visit, thanks.
I really like Pappas the best but i went and tried G& M there good , never tried Jimmy's or Koco's. I used to love phillips when they were at Harbor place and Ocean City went out of business , Nicks fish house were good also
I’m from Maryland, live in frosty, non-crab cake Mn now, but I have to say I’ve never seen such huge cakes as these. I bet the diners are as over-sized. Food inflation.
Pappas is so overrated, it used to be Wargos stag bar and Hales seafood right across Oakleigh road but Pappas bought them both. Not nearly as good as Mo's up on Joppa road. I grew up on Wildwood right at Putty Hill and Oakleigh. Choose Mo's you will be glad

Next time u go near G&Ms stop at a place called romanos in Ritchie highway best crab cakes
@@isaiahthemayor Thanks for tip. The bridge collapse affect the trip?
@@viciousvictortee1298I heard the bridge collapse affects the tunnels mostly. Travel times are very high.

My husband is from Baltimore, we ate at Koco's Pub, delicious Crab Cakes!
Koco’s is delicious.

I love your recipe watching from grenada west indies ❤❤❤

Crab Cakes are so delicious when they are fresh out of the oven. I love them.

Oprah was cool back then ? So was Captain Chesapeake ......
Box Hill deserved a spot on this list :(
Best depiction of Baltimore crab cakes
And yes, I was born in Baltimore, but grew up in RIviera Beach (which is on the outskirts of Pasadena), Maryland.
The Olive Grove, up the road from G&M have wonderful crab cakes.
Don't forget Fadley's historic crabcakes at Lexington Market❤
These are the absolute best.
Came to B-More on a visit, went to G&M and have been hooked ever since...even ordered some online to be shipped... Only thing, that was really expensive...but well worth it...

William Timon Box Hill is the spot
Boxhill sucks. They put pimentos in their crab cakes. Big no no if you actually know how to make crab cakes 🤮
My brother sent me two Pappas cakes for my birthday... delicious!
Didn’t expect them to be baked
I would try all of them
I have a hankering for some crab cakes The last one is definitely the best, especially when they're sided with french fries, coleslaw, lettuce and tomato slices.
I really love G&M.
Not far from BWI
I totally agree with you!
I used to work here. Great food.
Now I'm starving.
Pappas' on Ritchie Hwy for me.
I love Pappas and G&M haven't tried the others.
I love papas crab cake I like it fried so awesome 🎉
Forgot about the windsor inn love there cakes
I owned 2 houses in Woodlawn and remember Windsor inn. Are they still there?
Moe's broiled the best crab softball sized i ever ate.
They are huge
My favorite is G&M
NoNo to Koko's! They use INDONESIAN crabmeat and NOT the excellent LOCAL crabmeat. There is a HUGE difference!
Who doesn't?!?? Where do you get 'local' crab meat In January????
Faidley's?

I’ve been to all of them except Jimmy’s. Will have to try Jimmy’s next.
I wanna crab cake now! 😔
G & M Are the BEST! Hands DOWN!
You are soooooo right! So good I bought the “send home package” for my wife.
@@cantshootthis Bad thing is that I live in Michigan now! But go to G&M everytime I'm back Home

I agree with the whole list.
I want the ones topped with old bay and butter!!
Soft crab love them
Jimmys got that fire
Mouthwatering
Yummy

Travel 25 minutes outside Baltimore and get one from Box Hill Pizzeria. Best cake you will ever get
Baltimore the best 👌 secret 😉👍🍽🍻
American Harry’s in Canton has the best ones!
These are real crab cakes. Tennis ball size. NOT those crab cakes everywhere else which a bite size
I only had G And M its my fav
Corner stables has great crab cakes.
Gl shacks crab cakes are really good.
G and M Restaurant here I Come
I’m from Maryland, live in frosty, non-crab cake Mn now, but I have to say I’ve never seen such huge cakes as these. I bet the diners are as over-sized. Food inflation.
there is no question that Real Baltimore crab cakes are the best unfortunately many try to claim that title and have lots of fillers in them
Did you
Forget about By the docks 2024
Kocos is hands down the best
Seaside!!!!
All colossal meat. Where’s the blue crab??
Disrespect to the lumps lost onto the table!
What about Timbuktu ?
Box Hill Pizzeria in Abingdon has the best crabcakes . I have had G&M, Pappas, and Jimmy's. Box Hill is better than all 3 of them.
These are all delicious options, but leaving Faidley's off the list is erroneous.
From the wire, I thought Faidley's would be up here. Is it not one of the better crab cakes?
😋 🦀
It's Pappas for me.
Narrator or writer LOVES the phrase "best crabmeat available". Another POS video
Pappa's!
Gloves

koco's no doubt use to be the best 20yrs ago..........now a days they use imported crabmeat, that does not stand up to real Md blue crab, such a shame
Kokos is definitely the best on the list
all processed crab , then freshly frozen
Do not order crab cakes in California.
Or Florida
looks like frozen crab?
thats why they do so long in oven
Jimmys is the bottom of this list G&M are the best then Pappas then koco’s
Jimmys is not that good. My opinion
Timbuktu
Casa Mia in Parkton has the best cake in MD. Better than the Baltimore cakes.
No c&m
Never eat crab cakes outside of Maryland.
You gonna waste that crab gut?
not a crab in sight
Kokos are HANDSDOWN THE BEST IN BALTIMORE!!!
G&M oh no… I stopped eating hear because I saw several roaches 🤢
Where did you see them?
Stop lying, what you work elsewhere
@@speedracer1945 ???
@@cooldaddyslick6869 they probably came off of him .
definitely doesnt look fresh , few days old ?
G and M uses asian crab meat, the others are likely using Venezuelan crab. People even in Maryland don't know crab neat like they think they do.
