I’ve had my Workpro 9000 for 9 years. Superior comfort tailored design , hardware and most important; MESH QUALITY. It’s truly amazing.
I got this on Cyber Monday and I have been waiting for it to go on sale. I tried it out in the store and I love it!
Great review. Wow, 7 years and no problems. 👍🏼 Thanks for the details - just what I needed to hear.
Woo hoo..just got this chair through a garage sale and wow, it's like new and feels so good. It even has the manual! Love hearing how good it is!
Fantastic review. Very laid back non-techy style review with honest opinions and great delivery. And rollerblade style casters? Hello! Brilliant! Thanks for this fantastic review.
I’ve had this chair for 4 years and love it. I’m about the same size as you. I WFH but just rented an office in a co-working space to get out of the house sometimes and am seriously considering an Aeron. But your video just re-sold me. Gonna buy another one of these bad boys 😬
Excellent review. Funny, it really hurt my back but the leap v2 you mentioned was the one that worked for me. I could tell though that for the couple months I had this one, it was very well built.
Great review. Thank you.
Awesome review. I have two of these. I bought it first for home use, but liked it so much I bought it for the office.
Thanks Colin! Yeah, I honestly couldn't be happier with the chair, especially for the price compared to other seats on the market.
I need to get those wheels!
i really wanna find this on a deal, thanks for the video. Chair looks awesome and probably sits awesome as well
Best chair ever! I have owned for 11 years, no problems.
Spent 30 minutes trying to find this review. I watched it a year ago. Wanted to see why you had liked it. You have some really good points. Price, Mesh, adjustments, and the longevity. Now to keep the kids away from it! Thanks.
Went out and sat in chairs in 3 different stores yesterday and didn’t like any. Watched this and went out and sat in it and bought it. 100% worth money. Extreme bang for Buck
That's awesome! Glad this helped!
@4:43 I agree and I narrowed down my choices because of this. I like to be able to manspread sometimes lol
I was deciding between the 12000 Series and this one. 12000 Series has 10yr warranty and 9000 has only 5yrs. Bought the 9000
Thanks, decided to get one.
Awesome! Hope you love it as much as I do!
Convinced me to buy the chair. Just started working at home 100% of the time with a new job and decided I needed a good chair for my work space.
OMG - Changed my life!
Thanks for the review! How is the head support for this? Is it needed?
great video was in office depot looking at this one and the 1200 and debating between those two and ergo2 which i havent had a chance to sit in
For me, and it's not even close IMO, the 9000 is way better than the ergo 2. I haven't had a chance to try out the 1200 though.
@@AllenUnderwood the 1200 feels good too
I really like this chair but in the end I have to return it. Sadly the cushion under the mesh on the seat causes too much pressure in my hamstrings. My left leg has really started to hurt. I tried adjusting it every way I could. I might give the fabric one a try.
Loved the video. Any idea where I can purchase a replacement pad for a left arm rest for the Work Pro Quantum 9000? I've been searching and no luck yet.
Great Review Alan. My first comment disappeared.. Not sure why. Big fan of Coding Blocks and actually ran into this review while looking for a office chair replacement. I went to our local Office store and was able to try it out. Definitely my favorite chair and like the durability that appears to be part of the chair. The only question I have is around the chair back and raising it and lowering it. I tried to do this in the store and it kept falling down. Don't know if the chair was broken or that is how it works if so.. how is the back of the chair adjusted. Also, Any thoughts around head rests?
As someone who both works and plays in front of the computer all day and doesn't have the fat stacks for a Herman Miller, this sounds like my dream chair.
Update: Just finished putting mine together. I love the curve of the backrest. I also like how the recline resistance works on this one. My previous chair would instantly recline as you sat down, with the setting for it either being super stiff or a wet noodle. With the Quantum, when dialed right it supports both upright and reclining without further tinkering.
That's excellent...thrilled it's working out for you!
This is a great chair. I've had mine for many years. The mesh is worn through on the seat and the back. How can I get replacements?
My mother's family name. Thanks for the vids. Hello from Ireland 👋
How does the tension control handle work? What does it do?
Do you think it would be possible to order this chair and then switch out the mesh seat with the padded seat? I really want the version with the foam pad seat, but it's never on sale. The mesh seat version goes on sale regularly. I absolutely love this chair. Thank you.
Great review! I am wondering if I can take off the armrest. For some reason, I do not like armrest, and they feel like on the way
The chair comes with the arms uninstalled so you can for sure use it without the arms.
Trying to cancel my Secret Lab Omega to buy this baby. I had it once for a previous job, was amazing. Not sure why I forgot all about it, going for the executive version since I like leaning back a lot. Also, I had the padded seat version for a while too. The mesh is far better. The pad can feel uncomfortable a while in comparison. The mesh is perfect.
Thank you for that additional insight on the pad
I just shipped one back and bought the Secret Lab Titan. The WorkPro just wasn't my cup of tea. It seemed small and I didn't like the mesh seat and back at all. The Titan is my kind of chair.
Can you recommend a seat cushion?
What does the large knob at lower right do? I turned mine in both directions and did notice any change.
Can I ask. I like to sit crossed legged or with 1 leg tucked under the other. Does the frame dig into my legs if I sit like that?
Is it true that you can replace the mesh seat with a Raynor Ergohuman replacement part? I have been using this chair for about 8 years and it is still good but a new seat would be great
Is the leg base metal or plastic ? It’s black so I can’t tell.
Great tips. I'm interested in mesh seating, but have this habit of not checking my pockets when I sit down. Will it warp if someone sits with a blunt object in their pocket pressing into it unevenly?
I've definitely sat in the chair many times with a wallet or other things in my back pocket. Never created any weird section in the mesh...however, if you sit with something sharp...watch out!
the Herman Miller Mirra has a more comfortable front seat edge. I found the front edge of the Aeron uncomfortable too
Awesome - thanks for sharing!
Quick question I see this chair all the way up at $300 and as low as $160.
Anything missing in the lower end price?
Is it safe to buy it at the lower price?
Thank you! :-)
we have the same shirt, and chair.
Well, I hope you're right because I bought this chair based on your advice after looking at chairs for DAYS! The reasons are because you rated it better than some of the $1000 chairs, and also that I'm a big guy about your build. I would sure hate to spend $1000 on a chair that I wasn't thrilled with, at $315 I don't have as high of expectations. This seems about the right price to make me think I'm getting something better than all the $200 chairs but not spending $500 to $1000 on a Herman MIller or Steelcase chair.
What did you end up thinking about your chair decision?
@@AllenUnderwood I shipped it back! It just wasn't the chair for me. I ended up with a SecretLab Titan. And I just like this kind of chair a lot better. it just seems a lot bigger and more substantial. It's a little overpriced at $429, though.
I don't know if the WorkPro was better or worse than other chairs in it's style, the mesh seat and back just weren't for me.
Great review, thank you. Can anyone share the box dimensions, when it's delivered uninstalled? Need to calculate forwarding costs.
I looked around but I could not find that information.
@@AllenUnderwood Thanks again. Much appreciated.
The Quantum 9000 w/ headrest and mesh seat is 78cm W x 66cm D x 52.5 cm H (30.71in W x 25.98in D x 20.67in H)
@@lambchopsz Thank you!!!
Excellent review! I am looking at getting this chair to use in my home office and read some reviews and some of the complaints were the mesh broke and it sinks in. What are your thoughts about that? I was uncertain if I should get a mesh for the air flow or a cushion for the comfort and reliability. Do you think mesh will sink in and thus cause some discomfort? I do not know how much height and weight matters. Thanks!
Just curious, Did you ever end up getting this chair? I'm considering getting it
@@MessingWithSimon yes I did. Still adjusting to it. Sometimes feel sore after I get out of it.
@@p-dub7422 That's nice to know. would you recommend it at all? It's a huge upgrade compared to my current chair
@@MessingWithSimon HI I think so. I am sitting a lot so that might be an issue. But, like you said, this is an upgrade from what I had previously. How long have you had your chair? And are you experiencing any discomfort? Also, how long do you sit in it each day? Thanks for reaching out!
@@p-dub7422 I've had this chair for at least 6 yars. But it was used when I got it. It would probably be like 3 hours or so I would say average. Cause I'm on my feet most of the day at work 7:30-4. And then I work out at around 5 and I'm finally home around 7ish, then I typically chill at my computer
What's the actual height from the floor to the top of the arms when the sit is fully extended? Most desks are about 29'-30' high and I would like to know if the arms fit under the desk when the seat is fully extended. Thanks!
Wish i could tell you, but this dude don’t reply to his viewers.
Wheee did you get the wheels for hardwoods.
Hi, do you know where can I find replacement parts? the gas lift of my chair is damaged!
LOL - this sent me down a rabbit hole. Take a look at this video - I think the key is to measure your existing cylinder and then you should be able to find the correct cylinder replacement part.

I also came across this page that may be helpful but I have no experience with them...

@@AllenUnderwood search for raynor ergohuman chair v1 replacement parts... it's basically the same just sold under different name when office depo sold them. I'm ordering armrests on monday
how do you move the back of the chair down? I've moved it up and now the lumbar support is too high, I can't figure it out. thanks
hold the top of the back rest and lift up slightly. You'll hear the mechanism un-click. Lift it all the way up and when its really loose you should be able to drop it down to the lowest setting.
where did you find those wheels ?
The link is in the description above "roller blade style wheels"
Does anyone else have trouble with back staying in the “up” position? Mine keeps falling down constantly…
Yes. That's my only complaint. Just purchased, so I may contact the store. Also, the back sticks when I lock it into a reclined position and try to reset it. makes a loud pop sound as thought it's stuck
I recently sat in this chair, and I'm pretty impressed with it. The only thing I wasn't sure about is if the backrest can be height adjusted and locked in place? If not then I'll go with the workpro 12000 which also felt great.
I have not yet figured out how to get the backrest to stay in the “up” position….
The only thing that makes me hesitate in buying this chair is the arm rest height. I'm 5 foot 9 and they are like an inch or two too high at the lowest setting. The chair itself was hella comfortable tho.
so ive had it for about a week. im one of those people who just dont like it. it hurts my butt, I feel like my skin is just being like pulled and torn all the time. and the arm rests are pretty uncomfortable for me. While i get how people could like it. its just not for me, gonna return it to officemax and go ahead and burn money on a herman miller :/
I'm 5'6" and the lowest position was still too high for me.
I purchased one. The back doesn't stay up. You can adjust up but once you move, it goes back down. It's not made the way it was made years ago. They should have left design alone. I had one at work, that's why I got one for my office at home.
It has multiple areas as you raise it up where it locks. If you raise it to the very top it resets. If your not raising it up all the way, maybe yours is defective.
Thanks, elusive meme!! I’ll try that…☀️
Anyone from Germany here? It seems that the chair is not available in Germany. Can anyone recommend a similar chair that is available in Germany?
it is available in amazon Germany but it is 500€. Search Nowy Styl ENJOY Work Swivel Chair. It has headrest.
no adjustable lumbar though? Really?
Can you comfortably play guitar while sitting in this chair?
For reference, how tall are you?
I knew I forgot some info. 6’ tall and have ranged anywhere from 230 - 248 pounds in my years of using it. Currently 229 😊
@@AllenUnderwood Thanks. I am about 6'3 and an ungodly amount of weight. I find that the arm rests are more or less useless with my current chair.
raztubes yeah. Obviously losing weight will help but on the chair subject it’s really hard to know if it’ll work for you without you trying it. I will say since I’ve lost the 19 pounds everything is more comfortable.
380$ .. ._.
