    Great review, great chair. I just bought my second one from Amz for $315. I am looking how to change the height of the chair and came across this review. Very nice. I hope they provide service to change the chair mesh, since it was sagging after 9+ years of usage, all other parts are still solid.

    I just picked up this chair and overall I really like it. The tilt back feature is pretty sticky and doesn’t lock anywhere it only has 3 presets. It tends to get stuck sometimes and feels very rough when you lean back. The back rest moves left and right as if some screws are loose. The chair feels sturdy but poorly constructed in that regard. As do the armrests I don’t like how easily they pivot. Apart from that it’s extremely comfortable, very adjustable, stays nice and cool. I saw it at office max and the second I sat down I knew this was the chair I wanted. You can feel the difference in this one compared to all others. The materials used in construction are fantastic, it looks great and makes me feel confident. It doesn’t creak and wobble around like a cheap plastic chair. I got it for 400, some places sell it for 500-550. If I payed that kinda money I woulda been upset but overall this is the best chair I coulda hoped for.

    great review! Is there a way to lock the wheels or make it roll less? What about the tilting? Does the knob turning left loosen it for more tilt while right makes it less ?

    • @ergonomictrends8446
      @ergonomictrends8446  4 года назад +1

      The wheels are not lockable. You can either swap them out with lockable wheels, or get a office mat to add more friction underneath. Turning the tension knob clockwise should tighten the tension.

It's an OK chair but feels around 100 bucks overpriced IMO. Wasn't a fan of the arm rests and the bottom was too hard...my butt was going numb constantly. "My biggest complaint is that, when you lock the tilt you can no longer tilt all the way back." Yeah ok dude. Honestly though, I can't believe the Aeron doesn't have adjustable seat depth. I wouldn't mind spending $1k on an excellent office chair but it's pretty inexcusable for them to charge such an exorbitant price for something that lacks key features... This chair just seems like a better option despite being less than half the price.

    • @renendell

      ...seems like a better option AND [it's] less than half the price.

  • @IImperviious
    @IImperviious 3 года назад +2

    For anyone with longer femurs (taller people typically) who need to use this chair at an extended depth, because the depth adjustment moves the entire seat forward the rear metal frame will move forward as well and you will likely end up feeling the frame of the chair when sitting down with your back against the backrest.
    Love everything else about the chair, but this is a glaring flaw for tall users like myself (6'4")

    • @incognito7843
      @incognito7843 Год назад

      Indeed, I'm also 6'4, I have tried this one at the store. Its not made for tall people. No offense, but this guy has an Asian accent, he probably has a different perception than a European or American of what a tall person is...

      Same the backrest doesn’t lock, it just slides down.. for anyone reading, I recommend the WorkPro 12000 chair, lasted 7 years w/ no issues, up until now, it is more comfortable. I ordered the wrong chair with the 9000, it’s more for smaller size, the side of the arm space doesn’t give enough room like the 12000 does. It has more features and flexibility than the 9000. It’s not too bad, but I definitely miss my 12000 chair.

    Silly question. My chair doesn't rock back and forth like yours is doing at 4:06. Your seat and back are moving. I have the turn knob to change "tension" but the chair won't rock. The only thing I can rock is the backrest. The store I bought it from assembled it. Is it assembled wrong? Or am I missing something?

    • @declanhays6025
      @declanhays6025 3 года назад

      When I first got the chair the seat and backrest leaned back like in the video. One day I leaned forward to stand up while the chair was still tilted back and there was a loud cracking sound and the seat kind of fell forward. Now the seat does not lean back with the backrest. IMO it doesn't really make a difference, although I am considering using the warranty I bought with the chair to exchange it.
