I had a freebie city hybrid bike that was 1x7 and I loved the simplicity of having one chainring and also how reliable it was. when I save up and get a "real bike" I'd love a 1x
Been watching your videos ever since. I cant stop myself not to notice that fancy looking chain guide, where did you get it or what does it call? Im gonna need that. Thanks man! 🍻
Ronald Kuba awesome! Thanks. One more question, is your rear derailleur a wifli or a standard size rd etap? Planning to have the same set up as your bike but my rd etap is just a standard size. Not sure if it can goes with 11-32 cassette. Thanks again 😊
Hi love your videos, I’m using a aerocoach 52t with a 12/25 and I find when I’m in the top 3 sprockets on cassette it’s very noisy, my crank is a powed2max rotor and di2 6870 rear how do I reduce this noise?
The cause seems to be from the aluminum teeth hitting chain cause of the severe chain line in the top 3 sprockets.. will a sram x-synx chain ring help cure this ?
Hi great information as always..going 2 try 54t D2Z on shimano di2 tt bike would you recommend going to a 1x specific chain or would you say standard chain would be ok. Thanks
Hi Ronald, As always, nice vid my man, keep up the good work! But I've a question, what brand is the 58 tooth chainring? I can't find it😅 And another question. I'm considering a 54 (Sram, same as yours) or a 58 (ARC or the one in the vid) tooth chainring for my 1x TT setup. I'm an elite (under 23) rider, and I want to ride at an average speed of 43 - 46km/h (21km race). The middle cog on the cassette at the rear is a 15 or 16, pretending how you would look at it...😂 The range of the cassette is 11-27. (No other cassette option atm) I live in the Netherlands, so its all pan flat. What would you advise me to do? Would love to hear your opinion.
Im considering a 56t or a 58t for my future setup. Currently i only have aero bars on my roadbike with a compact chainset and 11-25t cassette. Average speed i can sustain is about 36-38 km/h for an hour, so the 15t cog does have a good chainline. But if i improve my FTP this season, a bigger chainring might be a good idea. For someone less serious than you and not as strong would a 56t be a thing?
A 56 works well from 42 to 46 kph avg. I don´t want to disappoint you, but the wattage difference 38 and 42 is probably too ambitious to achieve in a season.

Jefferson Tabud it's short cage, but it doesn't really matter due to the OSPW. The short cage is enough for 11-32 on most RD hangers.
Bro as you are showing 5 holes TT chain rings but for Shimano 5800 6800 and 9100 need 4 holes chain ring, but I not find online 4 holes ring
search wolf tooth chainrings. But they only do up to 50t!
satpal jat both PCD and ARC will make you a ring for that. D2Z have them on stock now as well.
Ronald Kuba OK thanks bro

Aidan O'Rourke yes
Hi how more in board is the SRAM x-synce chain ring compared to aerocoach?

There's no such thing as a 1x specific chain
Since you're so particular, what chain guard are you using?
None

no
@@ronykuba thanks R
does a shimano dura ace chain work good with sram x sync chainring?
I don´t know, probably yes
You always used sram chains? im stacked up on waxed shimano chains and going to use 1x soon. thx for fast replay :)
isn´t it more about chainring ratios than speed?
Norbert Schweiger no, but there's a lot to affect speed
What about crank lengths? They affect gearing too.
