  • This wooden christmas tree might not be as easy to make as some of the others. But, it looks so good in the house! I wanted to let you all know that as a way of showing my appreciation to you for subscribing and checking out my channel that I want to put together a compilation video of your Christmas tree builds. I love the tree. I am going to make some. I think I will try cutting all the pieces to rough dimensions. Then glue it up. Then just run a saw over the edges to get them perfect and make the tree shape. No measuring angles this way and everything will be perfect.

    • @hardshellwoodworks
      @hardshellwoodworks  8 месяцев назад

      Hey there Daryl! You had me worried there for a minute! I went out and checked the bottom branch to the tree, as well as checked the video again to make sure I wasn't giving terrible instructions! 🤣 @05:20 , I actaully said 19" inches. So, that's a relief. When it comes to the center mark of the branch, you would be correct that @ 19 inches / 2 is not 9-3/8" inches. When I bult the mockup, I must have messed that up and and pulled the degree cut to that numbe on the centerline of the trunk. So, I pull right to left and if you were to pull the same direction, everything would line up. However, if you were to pull left to right, the branch would be out 1/8" of an inch from lining up to the angled cut of the diagonal branch. I hope that makes sense . I do have the diagram on my community page that has all of the measurements that might help explain it a little more. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxNJfZaqPZovWCjGOoXUtIoLuLek3FDFy8

      Thanks a lot Gary! I really appreciate that. Do you mean “plans” like some guys have for sale on a website or Etsy? I don’t have blueprints for sale but everything I make on the fly or from a picture I saw, I put a schematic up in the community tab that has all the measurements and dimensions listed. I’m working on the measurements now and will hopefully have them posted in a couple hours. I hope that answers your question. Thank you for your comment and letting me know you like it. Means a lot!
