Always wondered about that as I wanted to know could I use a light switch that has front fogs from another car if needs be. Why didn't you open the window to make things easier on you 😂😂😂 and can't believe you cut the wires to get the grommet. Someone else could use those mirrors. The van is looking class and it's great to see your channel coming up again. Keep up the good work love your channel

Colin, I noticed your camper sitting down slightly at the rear. Maybe needing to upgrade the rear springs and shocks? I wouldn’t go down the route of lowering the front to match the lower rear as you Ofer are off road on country lanes and campsites so I’d keep the raised ground clearance if I were you. I understand you will have lots of equipment and items in the rear when away camping compared to at home everyday driving but I’d still add extra strength rear suspension
My windows packed in. Swapped the driver's side for a polo unit. Was great for about a month. That's packed in now. There's a guy on the forum that repairs the module. Sending mine off. Cheaper than replacement.

@YTDTETV Maybe. Bought it from ebay as fully tested and working. The seller was very helpful as I nearly bought the wrong unit from him. I can't rule out some other electrical issue causing the problem. I spent a fortune chasing wires, fuses, ignition switches and relays trying to fix it. Seems odd that two units failed. I can pass on the details of the guy who repairs them, if you like? He says it's a common issue.

Few mods I want to do there, definitely intrigued about the cab light! That’s way better than the original. I had a nightmare trimming the headlining, I used a 4 way stretch alcantara lookalike fabric, it’s not as workable as the 4 way stretch carpet stuff
Hey James I plugged the interior light in today and it works absolute perfect it’s just a case of making the hole abit bigger 👍 I’ve seen that stuff used before I I thought about it but then ended up going with the carpet.

@@jamesibbo1 no worries 👍 the Vw caddy have the same interior light and they are so pants can barely see anything at night when they are one, the 3 lights on the new one definitely are a lot brighter. You’ll see the headliner and new light all in next week 👍👍

Hi Nathan yes the window surround rubber does shrink. Have you done it sounds like a golf rubber strip that goes on the inside of the door shut yet. Helps with the road noise

Hi dte I sprayed my wing mirror cover and spoiler on my polo unfortunately it spoilt I used 2k in a can I'm not sure if it was the heat the weather was 36 degree Celsius and it was parked or kept in direct sunlight so it's actually bubbling 😢have to sand and redo them they look super bad , and I also have the same problem with the passenger window doesn't go up or down If you play with the switch it does down but then it stops completely took it to a auto electrician he said I need to replace the switch which doesn't make sense to me cause 2019 mk5 polo for a new switch and also if it was the switch won't the main switch work 🤷♂️
Believe it or not, the t5.1 and the T6 mirrors are different. You'll not spot the difference until they are next to each other. The T6 mirrors are slightly more aerodynamic and sit a little lower, however the mounts are the same and compatible with the wing plastic molding of the T5. Did you get off the mirror upper covers yourself or did those came separate ? I have issues separating my covers from my mirrors. Looks like they can only be removed by damaging them after once they put together.
Hey bud I never knew that I shal try to spot the difference 👍 mine come with the covers, if you turn the mirror glass all the way to the floor and look in the gap at the top you should see 2 plastic tabs I used a pick to lift the tab up and when one side had lifted I pushed a plastic filler spreader in the open gap to hold it, then I popped the other tab and that released the top. I then run a plastic trim tool in the line between the bottom of the cover and the rest of the mirror then the whole lot popped up. It took a motto work it out but second one come off easier hope that helps 👍

I can also confirm the polo window regulator works, changed mine a few weeks ago it has the same OE number. This was the passenger side tho.
