Ah ye loving the look of your lowered T5 Nathan and thank you for the video. Big shout out to Max Peeding Rods for supporting the channel. Have a great weekend mate.
I've just bought my first T5 after watching some of your videos. I'll be watching ALL your videos now, and maybe bombarding you with questions too! Subscribed and thumbs up from me! Please keep up with the videos.
Love it Nath. Feels like only 5 minites since the last suspension upgrade. Looks nice and low. Defo, defo, defo read the instructions😂 the rear adjuster goes on top, not on the bottom🤟🙈 upgrading the sway bars? Lovely Milwawkeeeee, very generous subby💪🏻
Hey David thank you and yep I now have a spare almost new suspension kit on the shelf, haha I thought about the instructions when I was editing the video 🙈. I left the adjuster out in the end, I’m loving the Milwaukee 👍👍
Thanks for all the videos you put out. Just wondered if the sound deadening under the scuttle made much difference. sorry if you have covered this. All the best mate.
The adjuster on the back goes on the top of the spring not underneath but I did the same as you and chucked everything barring the spring and hub modded the front.
Thanks bud a few people have said the adjuster should go at the top, reason I put it that way first is if the adjuster is at the top it would be hard to adjust it as other things in the way but didn’t use them in the end for extra lows 👍👍
Hey buddy loving the T5 and the caddy videos. You have helped me with my caddy sorting bit out. But was wondering how do I get two of your stickers mate for my caddy. Happy to pay cover cost.
The adjuster go up over the chassis pegs, and the little rubber washer goes over it first, and your normal spring seat rubber sits on the swing arm as normal mate. 👍
fitted stance + on my t6 van last weekend . im very impressed with it . one difference my stance kit has a helper spring on the front strut under the strut spring to stop it falling around when jacked up. i used modded top mount plates and have it sitting around plus 50mm all round it rides nicely no rubbing. i also moved the abs wire down . it had been rubbing in std postion std hight . rear adjuster goes on top ! i bloody hope so thats where mine is !! There were no instructions with my kit and only one adjuster spanner 🔧
DTE lovely job again but i find if u put lowering springs on a car u have much better handling but u realy feel the bumps wat was it like on the big van wen i done it back in the day i had a escort turbo so his it different in a van 👍👍👍👍👍
Hi Nathan. Love your videos bud been watching some time now. I’ve a question on the suspension you fitted as it looks the business. I’m a carp angler and use the van a lot abroad loaded with a lot of kit have you put load on the suspension yet to see how it handles weight. Cheers bud. John.
Im no specialist but on the rear axle, i imagine that thin rubber goes under the orange spring mount. I guess it wont last long if you put it between the spring and the lower mount. I guess ..
The rears, the black rubber goes underneath and you have out the topmount/lowering cup on upside down it goes at the top and you keep your rubber at the bottom otherwise every time you go over a bump its going to make a horrible noise
Rear adjuster go at the top of the spring and also dude use the original nut from the old suspension on the front as it’s the correct depth to stop any knocking
“A bit more lower “ !!!!! The previous owner of my T4 lowered the suspension and luckily for me he realised the error and thankfully put standard suspension back on the van . --
Great channel, enjoy the content as a wannabe T5 owner, just wondering how your new suspension copes with extra weight? Obviously not fully loaded with building materials! just with maybe family and shopping perhaps? I had i golf years ago on coilovers which was great but had to raise it slightly for normal day to day life 😢 Regards Col
Hey Colin thank you for the kind words 👍 so I have had the mrs, 2 kids and a couple of little motorbikes in the back and it seems good on the lower setting, maybe if you had to move something a little heavier it might want to go up abit but it’s been perfect so far. Hopefully that helps 👍
Ar yeah 😁 just out of curiosity mate what tyre size are you running? I only ask because I have the same wheels and I'm also about to fit coilovers but I don't think I'd get away with the lowest setting, cheers and I find your videos, videos? Uploads vlogs whatever the professionals call them helpful, thank you
Just fitted Stanced kit and using standard top and new bottom rubber seats with raised adjuster by 20mm but bump stop not reduced and banging on bounce road test.......Did u cut your bumpstop and if so how much cut off? TIA.
Another good vid, van looks superb, can’t help 🤔 thinking those skinner little rubber pad on the lower rear won’t last two minutes and then it’s metal-on-metal 👎
@@YTDTETV if you did that you need to cut the rear bump stop tube down by @30mm it will sit on bump stops I fit coilover on transporters all the time playersvanworks.com

Brilliant as always 👍🏻🇬🇧
Thank you Ragnar mate 🙏👍
Mine has the raked look. Only reason is when the rear was slammed like the front I was going through tyres every 3 months because of the camber!
Looking forward to the drive test on this

Thanks Cragy 👍👍
Looking good !! nice touch for you 👏👌👍

Great video as always Nath 👍 Would be interested to know the ‘centre of wheel’ to the ‘wheel arch’ measurement 👍🙏

Thanks keep up the great content I esp like the t5 stuff.

looks great

Thanks Roy 👍
Sitting right 🤙
Thanks Ak 👍👍
You must always use the original top nut for the front shocks before you put them back up. And on the rear, the adjusters go to top, not bottom.
Hey Sean I did use the top not in the end I noticed straight after the shot 👍 I then left the adjusters out as it sat abit high. Thanks bud

Happy belated birthday Nathan love the channel 👌any chance I can buy some of the dte stickers for my caddy in 🇮🇪

Ah yeah loving the lowered suspension look m8 please consider adding mud flaps 🇿🇦
Hey bud thank you and yes I do like the mud flap look 👍👍
If the rear goes full droop do the springs risk falling out or are the shocks height adjustable aswell?
Happy 40th birthday

@@YTDTETV good stuff 😁 cheers fella 👍🏻
You use wrong nut on top mount, the new nut is just a transport nut you have use original vw nut. It’s all over the forums

Hi - what do you recommend for T6 2016 T30 Caravelle. I dont want much lowering really, just better ride
Ah yeah
Thanks peerless 🙏👍
What size wheels and tyres do you have on
Hi pal, could you tell me what you’ve had done to your A pillars?
DTE TV dashboard paint, there’s a full video on it 👍
Hi I need some springs for my T5 T30 but have no clue what to go for.......do you recommend any?
Ah ye ! Great vid dude. Whens the next caddy video ?
Hey Jamie thank you, there will be a video on my caddy coming next 👍
Hey how are you
Vans Looking Bang Tidy Nath
Another good vid, van looks superb, can’t help 🤔 thinking those skinner little rubber pad on the lower rear won’t last two minutes and then it’s metal-on-metal 👎
Hey Ian thank you and I thought that about the skinny rubbers 👍
You need to use the oem top nut on front not the nut that come with the kit
I did use the original top but in the end I noticed straight after the shot, thanks bud 👍

Did you toss the instructions away and then ask viewers to tell ya if you guessed right??? LOL 😂
Haha hey B-RY I thought that as I was editing the video 😆
I had no idea you could get a coilover kit so damn cheap £250!
They have definitely come down in price over the years 👍👍
Dude you and that chainsaw scare me lol
Haha I’m guessing by your name you know your way round a chain saw 👍
The rear is all upside down
Hey bud I left the adjusters out in the end 👍
mechy who doesnt know where the adjuster goes !
Rear adjusters go at the top
why is that?
So it's more difficult to adjust.
Thanks David 👍
That is why I put it at the bottom as there’s no room with it at the top 👍 didn’t use them in the end
oh how AVE........
Should have said “a bit lower “ 😂
Haha 😆👍
Ohh yea Friday
Must mean DTE
Thanks Ben 🙏👍
RTB = read the book it’s an instruction manual dood
Mate if ya birds built like Eddie Hall, then don't do this 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha luckily she’s abit smaller than the beast 😆👍👍
