Hi Roger, thank you and Namman for the fun trip to Koch's. The first Place I ever bought mail order comics from was Grand Book Inc then I switched to Lone Star Comics.
You got it buddy. I don’t remember Grand but I did order from several ads back in the day including Robert Bell and Gary Dolgoff. If we only knew back then what we know now.😁
Fantastic! It must have been hard to decide on what to take home! Nice dilemma to have. great haul of graphic art storytelling...looking forward to your next Koch adventure.
It was very difficult not to take a whole box of comics. The wife would be on me though so I got very picky. The experience alone was worth the trip though. When your in the area we can try to go if your game. 😁
I hit the Koch Warehouse HARD through mail order circa 1988-1991, via their pages-long offerings in the Comic Buyers Guide. Their wholesale prices were astonishing and I credit them for MANY of my most-memorable back issue hauls.....and that's saying A LOT. Great video....!! 😃
I remember those ads and catalogs John. Like you I’m sure I ordered a few fabulous comics from him. Hopefully, I’ll be able to go back in a month or so. Great to hear from you Dr.👊
Absolutely love watching your videos. However, I don't know why. I always get so jealous....er.. I mean, thank you for showing us this great warehouse! 😉
Nice eclectic haul Roger - I used to go to the Koch warehouse all the time when I lived in Brooklyn - still one of the more popular vids on my channel. Been a few years since I’ve been though but I’d always come out of there with an assortment of stuff I wasn’t expecting haha. Thanks for sharing and glad to see you enjoying the northeast comic adventures to be had up here!
I remember your vids Kavi. In fact seeing you there was one of the reasons I was so excited to go. I hope you are healing well and let me know when your up and about and we will do lunch. Take care.👊
You would love it Carson. There is so much I was overwhelmed but on my next trip I’ll be more ready. You can fill in almost any SA or later run if your not picky about condition.😁
That is such an awesome place 😍 The comic shop I went to as a kid was much smaller, but it had the same feel to it- boxes of comics stacked everywhere ❤️ So cool to see you guys together having fun. Take care Roger - looking forward to more warehouse adventures 🫡
You know I went to a shop in my youth with a similar vibe too but much much smaller. The old bags and worn boxes just take me back. I’m sure there will be more trips out there soon. Thanks buddy.👊
This premiere came and went so quickly, I didn't get to catch it. Sorry, I think my mind was still wandering in that $2 bins at the Koch! LOL It was a great time Roger! Thank you, thank you Roger!!! :)
Well I can’t blame you for being distracted… I was for sure. The trip was all the more special since you were there with me. The look in your face when you found those Pence copies was priceless. Have a safe trip back my friend. God bless.🙏🏻
My daughter lives in Brooklyn. I may need to visit her soon.😊 Great pick-ups. I am beginning to like and appreciate Charlton horror titles, and you had some good ones, my friend.
Hey Roger 👋🏼 man I listened to you talk about that place on Tuesdays show but man!!! Your words did not do it justice that place was crazy!! It’s an actual warehouse of comics… I would be overwhelmed walking into that 😆 anyways it was cool to see some footage of you and namman out and about take care and hope the family stays blessed 🙏🏽
I was overwhelmed Jacob. For about the first 10 minutes I was in a Fugue state!😁 It really is quite the experience. I’m glad Namman was there to keep me focused somewhat. See you Tuesday buddy.👊
Nice score on the Haunted Love! L. Miller's are always cool to find! Cap. Canuck first Canadian comic series to be distributed in USA since the golden age!
Those Haunted Love comics are getting so tough to find. I’m only missing a few now but it has taken years to get them. That’s right about Captain Canuck… still trying to complete those. They seem easier to find up here. Thanks brother… be well.👊
Wow what a warehouse. Can't believe that Mystic book was there. Love that cover. I've been after some of those UK Uncanny Tales since some reprint Tales to Astonish books. I saw in another video you were in Jersey City. That brings me back to my childhood. My father and Uncle lived in Jersey City back in the late 80's to mid 90's
Oh cool. I was actually born in this area but haven’t been back in decades. Yes, that warehouse is something to behold. I’ll be going back in a week or so. Thanks so much for watching.👍
It was on my list as well. I hope you get there soon as Mr. Koch is getting in in years. There are so many giveaways there. Thanks James… great to hear from you.👊
I loved your video and picks. I live halfway across the country and have never visited the Koch warehouse, however I've bought a lot of comics from their eBay store.
Many thanks Gary. I recently moved to the area so this was a place I had to explore. Mr. Koch has been selling comics for over 50 years so many of us have a few in our collections. 😁
Haha… it took supreme willpower! I tell you Schoon we could set up a cot in there for a month and still not go through it all. I’ll be back next month so stay tuned. Thanks buddy.👊
I've always wanted to go there!! I'm so happy you did and had a great time. Look at all those treasures. I've never even knew of the DC Invasion book you showed. I'm intrigued!!
I think Koch advertised in Alan Light's The Buyer's Guide (later the Comic Buyer's Guide edited by Don and Maggie Thompson.) Heck, I might have bought something through mail order from them for all I know. Did not know they were still around?
Well yes the dollar bins are the lowest. Everything is at least 20% off though so 80 cents. I left a link to the Koch website in the description. I think it is open only on weekends from 12-7 but call ahead to be sure.
They run the gamut as far as condition goes. I’m not a condition collector so as long as complete I’m happy. I’d say generally most of the comics I saw were not high grade but I didn’t go through most of the aisles. I did see a few marked vf/nm however.
Oh yes indeed Richard. Mr. Koch cut is some major deals but the temptation is mighty. I’ll be back every month or so with my monthly comic allowance of 50 bucks or so. Great to hear from you amigo.👊
So. Many. Comics! Ghost Manor and Ghostly Tales 🔥🔥🔥
Oh it was totally overwhelming. I’ll be going back in a few weeks a little less she’ll shocked hopefully.😁 Thanks.👍
Wow. I want to go to that place!!!! What a cool haul.
It was just an overwhelming experience. I hope to take Damian there the next time he visits his mom. Thanks for coming by.👍

Fantastic is right James. I’d say intimidating too. 😁 Thanks buddy.👊

That's the whole point of comics youtube, endless fomo!
Haha… I’m sure you have many I’d be envious of as well. That place is just the ultimate for a comic geek. You would be in comic heaven too I bet.😁
I love those giveaway/promo comics as well. Nice pickups!
Hey there… great to hear from another giveaway fan. I’ve got a vid in mind for next month on them. Thanks.👍

Thanks so much buddy. It was quite an overwhelming experience. Yes, it was cool to go with Namman and share the awesomeness.👍
Great looking store. Could get lost in there for days. Congrats on getting to visit!
I did get lost several times! It is quite the experience being surrounded by all that comic goodness though. Your cheap bin hunts are legendary btw.😁

A lot of great pick ups. You did well Roger. Thanks for the video
Hey thanks buddy. Let me tell you it was tough to restrain myself. I’m definitely going back soon. I hope all is well my friend.👊

Let me know when you come down and we can plan to go together. It is not the easiest place to find but oh so worth it. 😁 Thanks Erik.👊
@metarog My wife was just up there visiting her. Rog, you still going to HeroesCon in June?
@@erikk.5202 Yes, I already have tickets and am rooming with Namman. I’ll see you there for sure.👍
@metarog Sweet! Same here. Staying at the main hotel myself with my wife. I have a three day pass. I will reach out to you for sure.
Wow Roger that was fun. Awesome! Have to make it there one day.
It was a fun place to visit. They did have GA too but not too many of the choicer titles. Let me know if you plan to go.😁👍

It is indeed. I’m sure you could spend all day in there and barely know time passed. 😁
Great stuff mate, I saw Wormy's video of the shop shelves, crazy stuff!! Enjoy your new comics
Crazy is right… there was no end to this place. I’ll be going back next month.😁
I remember those Koch catalogs from back then growing up in Brooklyn. Great video and haul. Great seeing you with Namman!
I do too. Those were full of great comic goodness. I didn’t know you grew up here. If you come back to visit let me know.😁👍
Oh myyyy! Very nice needle-in-a-haystack finds!!
That is exactly how it felt! I can’t wait to go back and explore the areas I missed. Thanks amigo.👍

Are the boxes holding the books or the books holding the Boxes together? A Great time was had by All👏👏👏
Hard to say Raul… the whole place just seems to defy physics.😁
Koch's is on my bucket list...I hope to get there some day. Nice haul, very cool books, but really glad you found some promos to add to your PC
It was on my list as well. I hope you get there soon as Mr. Koch is getting in in years. There are so many giveaways there. Thanks James… great to hear from you.👊
Great books! I like those horror or monster books. I’m starting to collect them myself
Hey Romy. Yes I’ve really grown to appreciate Bronze horror in the past decade or so. Thanks so much for stopping by.👊
I loved your video and picks. I live halfway across the country and have never visited the Koch warehouse, however I've bought a lot of comics from their eBay store.

That seems like a fun trip. Next time you may have to put NammaN in a sleeper hold to get him out of there. He knows good pickings when he sees them.
Haha… I’ll keep that in mind. It was a fun time and amazing place for a comic geek such as we.😁 Thanks Bill.👊
What you talking about? I had to put sleeper hold on Roger to get him out of there.
@@AComicBookworm I'm going to go to NY and put a sleeper hold on both of you rascals.
I don’t know how you pulled yourself out of that warehouse. Looks amazing!
Haha… it took supreme willpower! I tell you Schoon we could set up a cot in there for a month and still not go through it all. I’ll be back next month so stay tuned. Thanks buddy.👊

Oh Ryan. If you are in the area I highly recommend a trip to Koch’s. As a fellow comic fanatic… it is an experience you will never forget.😁
Looks like you can BYOB. Good for you and Namman, we are all jealous.
Haha… you probably could. I didn’t see any drinks except in the office but you could probably dog that. It seemed almost anything goes.😁
Midnight Tales! I almost have the complete run.
Oh cool! I’m only missing 13 and one more. I love the Wayne Howard art. Great to hear from another fan.👍
I think Koch advertised in Alan Light's The Buyer's Guide (later the Comic Buyer's Guide edited by Don and Maggie Thompson.) Heck, I might have bought something through mail order from them for all I know. Did not know they were still around?
Yes, I remember those ads. I’m sure I bought some comics from them in the late 80’s or early 90’s. Mr. Koch is still going strong btw. Thanks Dave.👍
Is a dollar the lowest price????? ---- also what's the store hours please.
Well yes the dollar bins are the lowest. Everything is at least 20% off though so 80 cents. I left a link to the Koch website in the description.
I think it is open only on weekends from 12-7 but call ahead to be sure.
I'm here but I don't have a Winter coat.😂
I get the prices are fantastic, however... What kind of conditions are we looking at??
They run the gamut as far as condition goes. I’m not a condition collector so as long as complete I’m happy. I’d say generally most of the comics I saw were not high grade but I didn’t go through most of the aisles. I did see a few marked vf/nm however.
