If you are late, you should apologize. Nothing to do with being a man or a woman lol. It is very disrespectful of someone else's time and we should all definitely apologize in that case. "I am sorry for being late and thank you for waiting."

If I were you I will behave the way he is behaving to balance the dynamic. The problem is that if he is a real narcisist he is dangerous if he has been diagnosed with that pathology, you should run. There is nothing you can do.
