Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird - Live at the 1979 Volunteer Jam (Upgraded Audio)

For the longest time, this video has only been available with the original mono audio that has a tendency to be muddy and jumbled. I've combined the stereo audio from the radio broadcast to finally make this legendary performance pop like it should.

So sad watching this. These guys were young and in their prime. Skynyrd was just getting going when the crash happened. Can you imagine if they had another ten years. And with Steve Gaines a member no less. Damn ! Gary, Allen, Leon, Bob and billy were all 21 yrs old when Skynyrd's first album came out. Plane went down 4 yrs later. Damn. So young.

Poor Gary, bless his heart, he really loves Ronnie. It’s hard to watch him play but him Allen leaned on each other, so much they formed the Rossington Collins Band
