    I think the biggest thing that could add to the immersion and replayability of the game is making more things interactible. So for the dorms, let us sleep on our beds to change the time from day to night, open the wardrobe to change our gear, and use the mirrors to change our appearance (also maybe let us customize or interact with our owls, either to write letters or just to feed and brush them like the other creatures). These are all features in Animal Crossing for goodness' sake, so a triple A game should be able to include them too.
    Just give us reasons to visit our dorm, the common room, the great hall, and other areas because I want to hang out in these places, but all I end up doing is standing there for a minute and the leaving because I have no reason to be there.

    • @TheVerdictIO
      @TheVerdictIO  7 месяцев назад +5

      I agree 100%. There wasn't a reason for me to go back to my dorms at all, which is a huge part of Harry Potter, and the Hogwarts Castle. I would have liked to be in my room or common room for various reasons related to the game play.

  • @TavaresTheGuru

    I just want most of the quests to take place inside Hogwarts. I also want to hang out with mostly members of my own house, just like the movies and the books. More house npcs that are not just filler characters. And most of all QUIDDITCH!!!!! Quidditch absolutely needs to be in the game. Also more wand designs.

    • @TheVerdictIO
      @TheVerdictIO  7 месяцев назад +5

      I didn't even think about more wand designs, but that is a good point! Why not have just an absord amount of wand choices. There already is that at Unviersal Studios.

    • @perssontm1628

      They could've really upped the replayability if they added more house specific questlines and characters.

      That was a bigger deal to me than I thought it was going to be. I finished as a Gryffindor student with the goal of completing each house. Then once I started Ravenclaw, I realized it was nothing different apart from the Jackdaw quest line. I just didn't care to keep going after really.

      @@TheVerdictIO I think it's mostly because you did something with other students. The movies is all about adventures with your friends, but the game forces you to go at it alone which makes the story seem empty. All the side quests we get a lot more emotion and friendship adventure feeling. That's my take at least.

  • @tgirl678

    It would be fun to earn or lose house points, have meals in the great hall, ride the Hogwarts Express, have a friendship system like in Dragon Age, have the core you choose for your wand affect its stats, have the different types of brooms have different stats, be able to actually sell things in your shop in Hogsmead, be able to design your shop in Hogsmead & have it affect the types of customers you get & everything you said

  • @milehighmadness1469
    @milehighmadness1469 7 месяцев назад +9

    Here’s my list.. you touched on some of these. These are in order for most important to least.
    1. Shrink the map. I was excited at first to explore the big map. Within ten minutes of exploring the open world I remember thinking “oh no”. The game loses its entire identity as soon as you start to explore the open world. It became a generic open world game with magic. The main map should be hogwarts/hogsmeade/Forrest/lake. You can create smaller maps for story beats that take you away from hogwarts (Diagon alley, some random town, azkaban etc.)
    2. Implement a scheduling system. You mention holidays being a big part of the lore, but time in general is. All events of each book, and even this game, happen within a year. I’d like to see a real scheduling system. Ideally I’d like to see a persona type schedule. You play every day. Most days involve doing activities like school, studying etc to boost attributes. However various scripted days throughout the year will progress the story. This leads me to something you described.
    3. Student sim. Like you I get why they didn’t do it. However when Harry Potter fans dreamed of an Hp rpg, a big part of what they dreamed of was attending hogwarts. Everytime I think about this it makes me more disappointed. The developers are fans, yet snubbed the fans to appease the general gamer
    4. More interesting characters/story. I feel these go hand in hand. The most interesting characters were the teachers by far.
    Even Sebastian, who everyone seems to love, is a pretty average character in my opinion. He just seems good because the rest of the characters are so boring. Most importantly the MC has the personality of a wet noodle.
    5. Dialog choices. If the choices don’t impact the story, get rid of them. It’s a big reason why the MC was so bland. You have to make the responses as generic as possible which makes the character boring. Either make dialogue choices matter or define the personality and write a well thought out script
    6. Make things more interactive. Hogwarts looked great. However, it felt like walking through a virtual museum. Give me puzzles, mysteries, activities etc
    7. Quidditch. I don’t really have much of the desire to play in, but I would like to be able to watch it.. even if it’s part of the story
    8. Morality system
    9. Companion system. The last two don’t meet much of an explanation
    May sound like i really disliked the game. I enjoyed it.. but there was so much untapped potential that it’s hard not to feel disappointed. Almost zero value in a replay. In fact I was about to do a replay not long ago, was creating my character, and as soon as I got to the voice options it made me remember how dull the game actually was, and stopped my replay right then

    • @TheVerdictIO
      @TheVerdictIO  7 месяцев назад

      "the MC has the personality of a wet noodle." - LOL! Love it.

    The transmog feature allows you to wear anything while having the best powerful outfits. For example, you can wear a hat but make it invisible. It is an inconvenience to constantly weave new magical elements to new outfit pieces but the transmog kept you from looking like Luna Lovegood. I ended up just wearing my school uniform the whole game while using more and more powerful outfits.

    • @TheVerdictIO
      @TheVerdictIO  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, I should have been more clear in my video. That option is what I always chose. What I really wanted to see was more choices to choose from apart from Luna's closet.lol I did the same thing, and just wore my school uniform the whole game.

    As an add on to the morality system id love to be able to form friendships and rivalries with other students like a normal kid does. And if they wanted to add romance options like when i play a game with npc's and a customisable character i create a story for each playthrough i do since there are 4 houses and 4 save slots i created 4 stories involving what the base game didnt have feiendships relationships hobbies etc. And i remember just walking next to the ai characters who i decided are my characters boyfriend / girlfriend because that was a part of the game that was missing for me at least though after 'hanging out' with ominis gaunt he kept saying the same stuff over and over again so at one point i muted my console and wrote dialogue that would occur between my gryffindor character and ominis and getting gradually flirtier throughout the story as ominis and my gryffindor girl was my otp for her. I dont know whether friendships And relationships matter to the makers but they atleast matter to me

      BG3 (Baldur's Gate 3) is the game I show at the end of the video. In my opinion, it has the best narrative branching of any other game out today, including Witcher 3 (which is hard to beat). It's mainly on PC, but it later released for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S as well. I can't think of another game that tops that one when it comes to NPC relation building. The game thrives in many other aspects as well, but mainly its story telling and character choices is what makes it stand out above the rest.

    I like a lot of these ideas. Definitely would have loved to see Hogwarts utilized way more. There's so many cool locations and secrets that could have been weaved into the main story and would have made the quests more unique. After awhile all the caves and nondescript hamlets just blurred together. I also wish they had brought in more ongoing elements to do at hogwarts and in your specific house/common room.
    I would have also loved the option of being able to choose characters to go on quests with. I liked how early in the game you got to choose who to go to Hogsmeade with and if you wanted a partner for Crosswands. Would have loved if they had kept that mechanism throughout the game.

    • @TheVerdictIO
      @TheVerdictIO  7 месяцев назад +1

      "I would have also loved the option of being able to choose characters to go on quests with." - Yes! They sort of give you this at the beginning where you choose Sebastian or Natsai to explore Hogsmead. However, I would have loved it if they capitalized on this and had your relationship grow with that character. The more time you spent with that character, the more you learn about them. Then, once you finish the game, play it again in a different house and choose a different character to get close to.

    My idea for quidditch is when you play it in HL2 your game loads Quidditch Champions and you play the match in that game, then go back to HL2. You would need to have both games installed on your machine for this to work.

    • @TheVerdictIO
      @TheVerdictIO  7 месяцев назад +1

      That's a great idea! The Elden Ring multiplayer isn't the same thing but this reminded me of that. You have to be connected to the internet, and then you have the option to jump to the other world of a player. It's not required, but an added content to the game.

  • @Hari-Harmonies
    @Hari-Harmonies 7 месяцев назад +4

    Yes to everything on this list, with the addition of new spells, the ability to become an animagus with a system that goes with it, and part of the Harry Potter experience in the books and movies was his relationship with Hedwig. The main leitmotif was called Hedwig's theme. I'd like to be able to choose your own pet and have more to do with them in the next game. It also felt weird that apart from being introduced to your dorm at first you didn't see all that much otherwise, there wasn't an insentive to do so other than the dedaelion keys. Your new home that you could customise became the room of requirement. More insentive to be at your dorm, play wizard's chess, gobstones, tarot cards and bond with your house members whilst doing it.

    • @TheVerdictIO
      @TheVerdictIO  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah, I went back and forth on the "pets" thing. It was cool to have like this mini zoo, but I would have also liked a closer bond to a single pet.
      And yes to more dorm stuff! I had no incentive to go back to my bedroom, dorm, the library, great hall, or any common place students normally go. I would have liked to meet up with my friends in the great hall for lunch, or go to the library because we need to get ready for our OWLs.

    My list is this:
    1. Quitich
    2. Working multi-player for quitich, a pvp dueling and/or racing mode, and a co-op campaign.
    3. Deep broom controls that have a low skill floor and a high skill ceiling.
    4. Improved loot system.
    5. Improved gear system.
    6. A fully fleshed out companion system.
    7. Unique spell sets, skills, and fighting styles for each companion.
    8. Better companion ai.
    9. More stuff in the castle (classes, secrets, etc.)
    10. Uses for the dorm rooms (sleep mechanic, time sensitive assignments and quests, etc.)
    11. More mechanics to the classes.
    12. A working karma/morality system that truly effects the story, ending, and how the world interacts with you.
    13. A branching story that will change depending on which companions like you or hate you, your character's reputation, and which spells you do and don't learn depending on if u missed out on them due to the karma and time systems.
    14. Make the map outside of hogwarts not as tedious and repetitive to explore.
    15. (this only applies if the main character is not the same one from the first hogwarts legacy) Real wand and sorting hat quizzes and reatctions and interactions throughout the game that make those quiz results feel important.
    16. Bigger list of spells to learn with missable spells. This means that the list of garunteed, therefore required, spells should be small. This, of course will mean that they either have to get rid of the spell requirement system all together, or implement it in a way that facilitates and/or compliments a branching story.
    17. More to the beast system.
    I know this is a lot, but with how popular HL is I have no doubt that they have the time and resources to make HL2 something truly groundbreaking and fantastic.

    My favourite parts of the game were the lessons at the beginning! I just wish we had more things to do in Hogwarts and DEFINITELY more interactions with objects (i.e. sleeping in common room, sitting, etc.)!
    A morality system to deter players from using unforgivables would also be great, because currently there is no downside to casually using avada kedavra, which sort of removes from the idea of how unforgivable the curse is!
    A little mechanic with prefects or something would have also been nice and book-accurate, where u have to sneak around/be a bit more careful in the castle at night!
    Additionally, before the release, I was hoping that classes may not be mandatory, but that they occur and the player has the urge to go, since u learn new spells and learn the weakpoints of enemies! Imagine how epic it would have been if you only learn inferi are weakened by fire if you attended a defence against the dark arts class!

    Good video! I agree on all points. Drawing us back to Hogwarts, and keeping the narrative centered around Hogwarts, the forest, and Hogsmeade for the majority of the game. Here are some additional points from my personal wishlist.
    1. More common room events/mini games/quests.
    2. More loot objects: e.g. spellbooks to unlock hidden spells or spell upgrades, potion recipes, collectibles like wizard cards, and rare relics (e.g. maybe we can find the cup of Hufflepuff, or a potential rare wielding of the sword of Gryffindor).
    3. A quest in the Department of Mysteries w Hecat.
    4. Dementors and patronuses, and a patronus skill tree where you go from non-corporeal to corporeal to powerful, etc.
    5. Trading collectibles w other students for an honest alternative to earn galleons.
    6. A better villain, more mystery, and plot twists.
    7. More personalities. Everyone is too friendly and there are no bullies. Add a bully or an antagonist inside of Hogwarts and it can add a lot to the story and the feel of being a student.
    8. At least one Peeves boss fight. Need I say more?
    9. Sitting.
    10. More secret passages and corridors. Lots of potential here!
    11. More variety in enemies. E.g. werewolves, banshees, grindylows, gnomes, and erklings.

      1. Yes please!
      2. Like, the idea of having to work hard for a spell really intrigues me. I love the idea that spells don't come easy (at least the good ones) where I have to "unlock" some of them in a more difficult way.
      3. The department of Mysteries could be an hour long quest easily.
      4. Yes! A patrounuse was really hard to produse. Some just had a "wisp" come out of their wands. I like the idea that it grows over time.
      5. Economics is really important in a game, and I like the idea that there isn't just one way to earn money. Be the entrepreneur you want to be.
      6. Yes, I liked the villain in this game, but it wasn't fleshed out all that well.
      7. The person you compete against in flying seems to be a bully. However, I don't like the option that you are either a bully or an amazingly nice person. I like the variety of personalities in characters, including the one we are controlling.

    In my own opinion, I totally agree with the points made and my own expectations would be character customization, it's good in HL now but it could be better? I could be the only one who thinks that lol. I just didn't entirely enjoy the face presets and how you could only have a certain face without being about to change your facial features (which I can understand of course). Personally, I don't like how hair kind of cuts through the scarfs/hoods, that might just be me again though, personal opinion.
    And I totally love the idea of the holidays/student life! I think I heard dialog about the Yule ball from the npc students during Winter and it was a little disappointing because as a player with ancient magic, fighting goblin etc etc, you're less of a student and more of a 15 year old hero/overworked auror or something. I wish that they could implement those relationships/friendships like they planned before taking it out to lean more into the action rpg; I'd love, love it if we could attend certain holiday events with friends or potential love interests. I would like it if it was more like HP in the sense that the player finds friends and the group goes and does great things like Harry, Ron and Hermione (while still being students) and being held accountable for any rule breaking they might do.
    To continue on with student life, it's been said before but I wanna be in my dorm, I wanna live in my hobbit like common room lmao, I'm tired of sleeping outside! 😂Someone (kayceeisonfire) mentioned owl care, writing letters (I think that'd be really cool to meet up with other characters if needed, too. Like a quest that requires you to physically write a letter to the character you need to contact rather than immediately meeting up(unless that's a tad much?)), using mirrors and their wardrobe, other room functions and I'd totally enjoy that if the player mainly stays in Hogwarts rather than running around outside school grounds. And not to mention that we go in and out of the Forbidden Forest and students aren't supposed to be in there--or am I crazy?/lh
    The photo mode we have currently kind of sucks? I play on a pc and it's a bit wonky for me but it's alright? I haven't heard much about it from other people, wish it was a little easier to navigate. What do the people think about it lol?
    For Quidditch I think it'd be cool if somehow the player has a choice to actually join the Quidditch team or to watch rather than play the game yourself (maybe choose your position and have a cutscene if you win when you do decide you want to play during matches or like Verdict says, the house cup).
    To fall back on gear and buying it or etc, after a while I got a lot of money but nothing to spend it on. You can purchase clothes at the shop but then have no use for them stat wise (unless you wanna dress your avatar up nicely). I thought that was a little disappointing too because who wants money but nothing to spend it on? After you buy everything, you don't need to buy much unless you need certain ingredients for potions (troll bogies, ashwinder eggs, so on) or other potential purchases.

    You mentioned something that never came to mind during my playthroughs of the game. They had the seasons, but there's no focus or mention of the holidays themselves. There definitely should have been a section of the game where a portion of the students go home for Christmas break. there should have been an entire mission revolved around waking up in our common room Christmas morning and having Christmas with whomever didn't go home for Christmas. Sebastian and Ominis would have stayed at Hogwarts. Natty would be at Hogwarts since her mother is a professor. Poppy may or may not have gone to her grandmother's. Having our character receive gifts from our parents and / or friends. Getting the option to get gifts for the friendships we want to invest in. I also want to know If our character is muggle born or not.
    Hogwarts Legacy 2
    I hope will include the tri-wizard tournament. If the sequel takes place our 6th year and we're 16 then maybe they should hold off until the 3rd game during our 7th year if that even planned. Getting to participate in that would be incredible. (Would also hinder the quidditch season if they really don't want to do quidditch lol)

    Totally agree with your list and your arguments, I wanna live in Hogwarts as a Student and do school stuff like going to classes and getting in trouble for being late or cheating and I want to be able to fail lessons for example brewing something and adding wrong or too much/less ingredients etc maybe we find a book like the one from Snape that Harry got through accident and can pull ahead of the class, there are so many cool ideas so even tho the game was good and I had fun (except for never being able to reach 100% cause of that stupid bug) they can create a REALLY awesome game if they think of stuff like that.
    Also I wanna costumize my character more with more faces, hair and body differences to choose from and it would be cool if the clothes can be chosen individually or as a set if one is not into that.
    I was not all that into the main story it had some interesting parts but tbh I wanna live my own Harry Potter based story if you get me and I can't really imagine an interesting storyline based on the ending we had.
    Wishful thinking but starting as a first year maybe even pick a characterclass like one of your parents could be a goblin or giant or something. Sorry for the long post and maybe I have high expectations but with everything we already have I believe it should be possible to create this kind of wonderland

    There are so many things I would like to see in a sequel, but my Top 5 are this:
    01 - A system of morality linked to the House Cup. Do we complete tasks given by teachers? We win points for our house. Did we get caught wandering around the school after dark? We lose points for our house. Do you find teachers’ tasks boring? Be nice to everyone, make a good impression and earn points for being an exemplary person. Don't want to get caught wandering around school? Start discovering new secret passages, to go unnoticed. And so on.
    02 - Romance. I know the characters are teenagers and that makes some people worried, but I don't think romance needs to be all about riding a stuffed unicorn like in The Witcher 3.haha We can have some comedic moments, Harry Potter style, even thinking about games like Fable for inspiration. Want to take someone out on a date? You choose the place, which can be something really romantic like a picnic by the lake or the Shrieking Shack (a partner might like the place, right?) Want a moonlit walk? Prepare a safe route well or risk ending up in the dungeon, like Mr. Weasley in his youth. And if you think that's not enough, the next romantic encounter will be in a double detention in the Black Forest.
    03 - Companion system. Something that often happens during the game and that makes me uncomfortable is not being able to invite a friend to spend more time with us, even when it would be the ideal time to do so. Like going on a mission with Poppy, hearing her talk over and over about how much she loves magical creatures and never being able to say "Won't you come with me to the Room of Requirement? I set up a super safe zoo for them there. You'll definitely love it !" Or being able to create wizard chess tables but never having anyone to play a game. Even Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, on PlayStation 2, already allowed us to play wizard chess in Gryffindor Tower. So why not be able to do the same in the next game and even use it as a way to make the common rooms cooler.
    04 - Quidditch. I hope to see the director announcing that the Quidditch championship is back, with several main games as you progress the main plot, but also several friendly games for the post-game. Something that you can always win or lose, regardless of how much you increase your raw power in magic would be really cool, to try over and over again.
    05 - New areas. I certainly think we need to spend more time inside Hogwarts, but I also think we should explore some really different areas. Go to Diagon Alley to buy our materials at the beginning of the game. Being able to actually travel inside the Hogwarts Express, chatting with friends and getting something done before arriving at the castle. Being able to choose between spending Christmas at Hogwarts or at home (or at a friend's house). The latter could yield something in the style of Rise/Shadow of Tomb Raider, where we have a map of the Croft mansion and can do some missions remembering Lara's childhood and the people she met between 30 minutes and 2 hours of gameplay. It would be really cool to get to know more about our character and also our colleagues.
    And... I think I've already written a lot.haha

    What I want:
    - The ability to transfer over our character from the 1st game.
    - Graded classes.
    - That you actually get to take the o.w.l.s and n.e.w.t.s exams this time (), and getting a grade based on how well you did/how many answers you've got correctly and have that determind what kind of classes you can take, if it takes place during the 6th/7th year.
    - That, if we start in a lower or the same year again, that we get to pick our 2, or more, elective classes.
    - Have the kind of wood and core you picked actually make a difference in the wand.
    - Getting to decide if you're a fullblood, halfblood or a muggleborn, and where you grew up/what you already know (weather you live in the magical or the muggle world if you choose half-blood, live with only their magical parent in the magical world or with their muggle parent in the muggle world, or with both in the magical or the muggle world. And if you grew up knowing about the world you didn't pick or not).
    - If the game includes parts in the muggle world, have your blood status and class choices decide how easy that section of the game is.
    - Choose a pet (perhaps even costumize it like we did with our player character).
    - If they include quidditch, that they give us the option to not join quidditch, and for the players who do, the freedom to choose which position to play as.

      I'm really curious how they are going to handle the character in HL2. Will it be the exact same person? If so, then yeah! I would like to transfer my character over. Also, love the idea of "tech electives". The books do show that you have thsi option in later years.
      More complex wand choice is an awesome idea! Think of Mario Kart on how you change your car. It's subtle, but certain cars are better at accelerating and others better at turning. You could do the same thing with wands. Some refresh better than other wands on the next spell, others are slower to cast but more powerful once done. Really good idea! I love it.
      Status is a MASSIVE part of the Harry Potter lore. How people viewed Witchers and Wizards in the 1990s of the Harry Potter book has to be even more prevelant in the 1800s of this story.

    Photo mode: YES! Should have been in Day 1. Less repetitive dialog and sounds: also YES! While we're at it, as far as revelio is concerned, not everyone plays with headphones on or with 7.1 surround, so give us other cues apart from that vague "ting" sound to let us know where secrets are located. The story was decent but a bit convoluted unless you took the time to put it all together. Perhaps next time place the dots a bit closer together so folks can string them together without Sherlocking the crap out of all the clues. The companion quests were by and large among the best parts, so more of that. For that matter, give us TRUE companions that we can have tag along with us on our adventures.
    Where I have to disagree is with a school simulator. Nope. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed my interaction with the professors, but I don't want to be locked in to an academic schedule and penalized if I miss class. Also nope to a stringent morality system. They've been done to death (Mass Effect inFamous, etc.) and they always turn into a meta, where if you're not playing a certain way, you're missing out on the best abilities, spells, storyline, etc. Also ALSO nope on curfews. I don't want to have to skulk around at night trying to avoid professors or prefects. Maybe I'm a night owl and just prefer to do my wandering after everyone has retired for the evening. And my head canon so far as Unforgivables was that I was permitted "special dispensation" by the Ministry to use them if and when I must to get to the root of the problem. It's hinted in the source material that Aurors already enjoy this privilege to some extent and have latitude to use them under dire circumstances without invoking the lifetime visit to Azkaban.

    Please let them do something to revelio so I am not spamming it all the time! Make it a toggle rather than a timed use or something 😂
    I want a more grounded world/activities that don’t feel so “arcadey” or “gamified”.
    I want a true morality system based around the type of witch or wizard you want to be with real consequences to player choice.
    I think this game desperately craves a deep companion/relationship system that you can choose to partake in or just go at the game lone-wolf style.

      I agree on this as well. When I first started the game, I picked the hardest setting and really the only thing I struggled with was the final boss battle. That was quite difficult for me to get past. However, apart from that, I didn't really struggle on difficulty. However, I've been gaming for quite some time now, so I had that experience behind me to make the game easier. I think this game was targeted to include new gamers.
      And yeah, leveling up and gearing meant almost nothing. It wasn't like a D&D game or something Breath of the Wild where my gear really matter to get past a certain part.

    I think Hogwarts Legacy 2 should be more like Persona 5 and Fire Emblem Three Houses with the narrative branching and how the calendar year works. Having some days where you have to go to classes, complete assignments and give room for quests and story.
    I would also like more characters to interact with and the ability to make friends and get their help on quests and assignments. A better name for the sequel should be Hogwarts Eternal where it would take place present day when you are a 7th year student and have the ability to see children of the characters from the books and movies

    I loved the game but was so annoyed that I had to go to so many caves and tombs for missions… for the sequel:
    1. I’d love if you can follow up your character, like using the PS or WB account to continue with the MC in the sequel…
    2. More classes and more missions inside school.
    3. I am pretty indifferent to Quidditch and wasn’t a big fan of the flying mechanics but most people want to have it so, why not?
    4. KEEP SEBASTIAN as a main companion! He was my favorite of all companions.
    5. A new mystery (we had the keepers, can we get the founders now?) but a mystery centered in Hogwarts and that gets solved in the school.
    6. Branching narrative - take a page from The Dark Pictures or The Wolf Among Us.
    7. A story where the previous companions (Natsai, Poppy, and Sebastian) are part of the core 4 with MC. Again, just like the books where they all solve the mystery and meet new people.
    8. More missions like The Haunted Shop, or Trial #3 or the Hufflepuff Jackdaw quest.
    9. Start a new storyline that would lead to sequels (think Goblet of Fire setting up the next 3 books)
    10. A series big bad. We need a good villain.

      Oh and I almost forgot, include the most iconic spell: Expecto Patronun!

    • @TheVerdictIO
      @TheVerdictIO  6 месяцев назад

      1. Agreed
      2. Yep!
      3. Agreed, but I think it needs to be apart of the story some how. I'm okay with not playing it as we will get Quidditch of Champions soon, but to not have it at all seems wrong for a Harry Potter story.
      4. That's a hard one though, because what did you decide is Sebastian's fate? It will be different for different people. However, going back to your first idea on #1, perhaps your WB account can have different re-intros for the character depending on what you chose in Hogwarts Legacy 1.
      5. Yes! Something about the founders would be awesome!
      6. Yep. I've never played "The Dark Pictures", but the trailers look insane!
      7. eh, I somewhat disagree with this one because Natasi wasn't friends with Poppy really nor was she with Sebastian. And Poppy wasn't friends with Sebastian either. However, the concept of getting a core 4 is what I would like to see. Maybe it's yoru choice as a player who you want your core 4 to be after playing a few hours and deciding which relationship you want to build. Or maybe its what house you are in gives you a new set of core 4. A lot of possibilites with this concept.
      8. The Haunted Shop was beyond amazing. This is where I would be okay with leaving Hogwarts for a period of time. If it was just some side quest that took me to MofM, or some other place outside the school grounds with that level of story telling, then I'm in!
      9. Exactly! That was one of the problems with the main story. It just sort of ended abruptly and didn't have a lot of payoff to it.
      10. I didn't mind Rockwood as a Villain. However, I would like to see someone more powerful as the the main "series" villain. For example, the Malfoys were always a villain in the stories, but it was Voldemort as the over arching villain for the entire series.
      AND YES! I forgot about a patronus spell in my own list. Really, more spells all together, but how is patronus not on the list!

    • @TheVerdictIO
      @TheVerdictIO  7 месяцев назад +1

      "Chosen One" narratives can be done well, but I tend to lean more towards stories where I'm average, and then my choices and actions make me above average. The result feels more rewarding. Think of stories like Elden Ring for example. However, Harry Potter himself was the "chosen one". The story that followed was just amazing and what made Harry special didn't prevent him from needing to learn and grow. In this story, you are just instantly good at all spells you pick up, and you even have an extra special ability with acient magic that you learned without any form of traning. It wasn't a terrible story, but it could have been done better is all.
      And +1 to the OWLs comment. The movie has it just being an exam, but the books show the exams include practical application of your knowledge, and not just magic theory. It would have been great to see that through out the game your spells didn't work out so good at the beginning, but then over time you got good at them. Hopefully good enough for when OWLs came.

      @@TheVerdictIO absolutely. If they did more side quest-specific landmarks I feel like the world wouldn't feel so empty in places. In my opinion there is a clear quality drop once you go south past the lake or north past the forest (the small mountain area) all feels very rushed. Not that it isn't beautiful, but there's nothing out there besides 30 merlin puzzles and some balloons and a castle or two to be used as side-quest locales. (those were easily the most fleshed out areas) The small towns scattered about weren't TERRIBLE, but it felt like there was 40 people total living in all of the surrounding areas outside Hogsmeade and Hogwarts. And half of their total significance was 2 people: the Sallows.
      edit: Conversely, If they don't want to pull the focus of the story back in a bit and make it tighter I would like them to make the world a bit bigger and emptier actually. Once you unlock flying the scope of it shrinks quite a bit, and I would have loved a larger world to make the small towns that did exist feel important and not just 5 people living at a road junction. And the Merlin Puzzles, my god. Every 10 feet.

Once the main quests are over no one speaks to you and that makes the game less interesting and makes me quit p0laying after a few hours even though I am not finished with the game, I just feel irritated by everyone who just wants something from you, I don't even know all those people in the villages, so why would I risk my life to find a Niffler someone lost or search for the key to the bells for instance. Its not like they serve any real purpose to the quests. I would rather be searching for answers to things like my back story or a hint as to what the enemy might be planing.
    When setting up the character they need to add Blood Status . personality traits Extrovert/ introvert, Is your Character Angry, Laid back, Moody, Optimistic, are they Self Centered like Draco or more like Luna who would help everyone or Like Neville who despite everything stands up and fights no matter what for what is right, those are clear cut personalities. Those things should effect how the Character interacts with others and where the story line should go for each individual Just as what house you opt for depicts certain aspects of game play and would make it so there were more options for how the story line might progresses based on the chosen traits
