No words are enough to describe this wonderful legend,he is a hart breaker, when it comes to songs, not just the choice of songs, his indescribable voice, he breaks my hart , love you slim Whitman, ❤️❤️❤️
You only have to look at his throat, says it all, that’s a true gifted singer, comes from the throat, he was a genius singer born with a gift, love you slim Whitman, god bless you, magnificent ❤️❤️
He was something. No one could hold a candle to him. Not back then and especially among today's artists. We can only hope that real country music will return.
It is my way of recapturing the great feeling of discovering a new Slim Whitman piece through you people out there. I so appreciate those of you who take the time to comment. Thanks.
The quality of this concert is better than what has been posted before. I believe this is from Ireland sometime in the 80s. Ghost Riders in the Sky, here, is probably the best live version of it, that I've seen on video. Thanks again Loren for posting.
@@twiliger I would love to hear the alternate version of red wing. I know there's been two versions released commercially. Is it a live recording you have of red wing ?. Thanks.
This posting is very much appreciated, I discovered Slim Whitman when living in Texas in the 1980's, after seeing his TV ads, selling direct to the viewer (the first artist, incidentally, who had ever done this).
I discovered Slim in the late 60's. How Great Thus Art grabbed my attention. That's when I started working on Slim Whitman stuff and became his friend.
He was a big fan of Slim's we visited quite awhile in Slim's dressing room at the Golden Nugget Casino where he (Slim) was performing. I have some great photos and memories.
This is wonderful to look back , he's the greatest RIP
@@michellkanhai7957 Thanks for commenting. He is missed.
What a voice there will never be another like him
I first heard Slim when I was 16. I am now 77 and I still love his songs!
I live about 15 miles from where Slim lived. Often saw him about. One of a kind.
@ernestwilliams268 ......did he still live in the jacksonville area?
Thank you for sharing, love all slims videos
What a voice
I first heard Slim Whitman back in 1964 and have loved his songs ever since I'm now 67 and this made my day thanks for sharing this with us so awesome
My intro to The Smilin' Star Duster was in 1966. Radio on. How Great Thou Art. Thanks for commenting.

angel voice in a man.
He did have a beautiful Tenor voice with great control and falsetto breaks.

Again, I wish the whole concert was available.
If wishes were horses beggars would ride.
That's a great Slim Whitman song too.😉

That's the best quality when it's professionally made. Reminds me I have a version of Redwing around here that is different.
I was fortunate to get the best possible first generation of these videos. Also, I have a great video editing program.

ALL My Best TV marketed LP broke all time record in sales. As far as I know it is still the #1 selling TV marketed record of all timem
Fabulous just fantastic
Thank you so much 😀
I’ve spent a lot of time in Tampa and friends went to Hillsboro High with Slim. I often wonder how he got to Middleburg. Maybe met Jeri there?
Jerry's father was a pastor in Middleburg and owned the land that they settled on.
Andy Kaufman impersonated Elvis, and Slim.
He was a big fan of Slim's we visited quite awhile in Slim's dressing room at the Golden Nugget Casino where he (Slim) was performing. I have some great photos and memories.
