I am listening to these tracks . I tell you Jerry West steel guitar sound change Slim vocal in very big way . Slim has the voice better than Dean Martin . Perry Como but his music arranger not so good or Slim would have been bigger than what he is , he's bless from God with this voice . RIP my friend .

Nice work , some new songs to me never heard them before

I met Slim several times in the 70's when he toured GB. A wonderful person, warm and genuine. He loved his fans. I miss him, but what a legacy of music he has left.

This was a nice surprise on a windy rainy Sunday morning 🙂. I really love the choice of songs and definitely overlooked gems. I've never seen that photo before on the Travelin Man album that's a new one for me. But I think a few Photoshots was taken at that location at the same time and put on some different albums through the years. That's a rare album cover I would say👍. I always look forward to the appreciation magazine to read on screen. Thanks.

Hi, Loren. I first saw Slim on stage in Sydney, Australia, about years ago, about the late 60s, when I was in my early 30s, and became an instant fan. In fact I saw him twice, over there. Then saw him twice in Uk. Over the years I've heard his well known songs an unknown number of times. I still am a fan, which is why it's so nice to hear all these fabulous songs that you are responsible for me being able to enjoy for the first time. I've saved just about every one, which I have started to listen to whilst doing other things, or just sitting still and listening. I am almost 89, now, so have plenty of time to enjoy every single one. I sincerely thank you so very much. There are many other singers I enjoy, but Slim will always be up there at the top. Thank you for what must have been a lot of intensive work. All best wishes.

My grandfather was a country singer who yodeled in vaudeville and talent shows kit carson Perry in 1930s. Sadly died at 39

I wish somebody would dig into the TV vaults here in the UK and the USA and also South Africa to see what footage maybe hidden of Slim from the 1950s 60s and the 1970s. Most if not all of the 1980s and 90s TV appearances have already been posted on RUclips.

Almost another half an hour of pure joy & relaxation, as always, listening to wonderful music from The Master, himself. I know how Audie Murphy felt, as listening to Slim always succeeds in raising my spirits, too!

One of the first records I ever bought was in 1952 or '53, a 78rpm. Indian Love Call on one side and China Doll on the other. I am now 85 and still enjoy listening to Slim.

As usual a wonderful selection of songs from the decades. I love reading articles from the appreciation magazine. Lord protect my darling is a beautiful song and if I'm not mistaken Jerry wrote this song. I don't know why it was unreleased for so many years. I think that song could have been a big hit for slim in the mid 1950s on the country charts if it had been released. Thank you for your time and effort and hard work.👍

Gee! My hubby has nearly all of Byrons late dads LPs ,tapes,cds after a tragic car accident the family played them to help in his recovery, Bryon included on some of the tracks .....all the best great to hear.

I have the record of this Was brought up on Slims music thanks to my dad I was born in 1973 9 days before this was recorded Always remember my parents going to see Slim when I was a child in our home town in the UK and being really angry I wasn’t allowed to go. I was only 6 or 7 at the time but many years later I was lucky enough to be with them and my wife in the same venue they’d seen slim all those years ago to finally see one of my idols on his last visit to the UK This is definitely better than the record it’s uncut and has some songs not on the record Thanks for posting
