Bro I was given this album hot August night by a friend that said I think you'll like this. I was young. My only other album was S&G bridge over troubled waters. Which I loved. Then I get to meet Neil Diamond through hot August nights. I was certainly born in the right time on earth

Wow! He was 70 here! So amazing-- his voice, body, looks, spirit, showmanship.
That's what I noticed, too; the energy he has; and even at 70-something, I wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crackers...and he's got almost 20 years on me.

He is my all time favorite singer. I saw a recent interview and he was struggling to speak. Just like me with Diabetes, I hate it. But I hate seeing Neil struggle to speak.
I loved his music, his lyrics and voice in 1969 when I was a sophomore in high school. 54 yrs later in 2023, I’m still enthralled by Neil. Anyone who knows me knows Neil Diamond is my all time favorite artist

Do a search for Theuns Jordaan doing covers of Neil Diamond's songs. Theuns passed away in 2021, leukaemia. He was my second choice Neil Diamond.

Saw Neil yrs back and it was one of the best shows I ever saw. There was no division, no hate, no left, no right and no one uttered the word woke once. There was only unity. Everybody watching this man at the top of his game doing what he does best, sing to the people and make them happy😊
If Neil sang "Play Me" he uttered the word "woke". "I one day woke up to find her lying beside my bed..." Just messin' with ya. You are absolutely correct. Who ever could have foreseen the world we live in, today. Even today's "music" is awful.

I listen to is music practically every day. I have been addicted to it since I was about 7 years old in 1967. I remember "I'm a Believer" running through my mind when I was in 2nd Grade.
He is soulful and you can see it in his eyes and the way he enunciates his words when he sings. If you look closely, you can see the tears in his eyes when he signs 'I am'.
One of his signature songs and one of the most personal.
What a wonderful message to all of us struggling with self doubt...I am I said... believe in yourself your self your beliefs

I favor Neil about everyone else, but in addition to him, I do enjoy listening to Elvis and Johnny Mathis. They all have very distinct voices. What makes Neil the most talented, though, is he writes his own music.

I keep looking at his facial expression at 1:58 and then the nod at 2:00 where he realizes he has to get back to the song, I would love to know what he was thinking of at that moment....I'm your typical Stones/Zeppelin/Pink Floyd person, but Neil has also been there as well (strange bedfellows I know). He's certainly a generational talent, and always sung from the heart.....today's singers can really learn something from him....

I was born 1959, my mom was a fan of Neil Diamond and we/I listened to his music, most of my early years . I didn't appreciate his music until much , much later. he has such a soothing voice. Aside from Elvis, in my opinion Neil Diamond is on par w/ any singer today past or present.

I was Migrant Farmworker, in the fields of California. He kept our hearts in tune with his songs,. Day after day of grueling manual labor, Neil Diamond was my escape. I loved his music then and I still do. My wonderful Son bought me tickets for his concert in San Antonio. I was in my late 50s. I cried and cried. He kept me going through those young years. I'm now a Doctor. My son gave me one of my best birthday gifts. There will only be ONE Neil Diamond. My God sealed away the mold.

I wasn't a farm worker, but worked in restaurants and am the daughter of an immigrant who came to the US after WWII. I started listening to Neil Diamond when I was 12. His voice, words & melodies kept me going through tough times & happy ones too. I saw him in San Francisco in 1985. The music of our lives - there are many of us who have liked Neil Duamond for a long time. I'm sorry he had to stop performing because of Parkinson's because he said he enjoyed his concerts as much as the audiences..
