Its a nice recipe. पर इसे पुरण पोळी नहीं कह सकते. पुरण पोळी महाराष्ट्र की Traditional recipe hai. Banane मे time तो लगता है पर उसका स्वाद and khane का मजा लाजवाब है.
Aur puran mane stuff ye hota haiissme puran to hai nhi per phir bhi recipe acchi hai
इसे आप दाल का मीठा पराठा बोल सकते है ए पुरणपोळी नही हो सकती
पुरणपोळी दाल भीगाकर नही बनती दाल को कुक करके उसका कट निकालते है

You grilled the chana dal a bit before socking in water , your recipe will be cooked faster, you rotate the pan and make it thin automatically.

In Bihar and many places people eat salty dalpuri. Dalpuri we don't add sugar but salt and crushed cumin seeds powder, we eat with spicy gravy vegetables and khir or sawaie.
I have one more suggestion.
Another method of cooking.
You boil the dal in pressure cooker or in a pot. After becoming very soft, you remove the water and crush with katori or belna or patoto masher or any thing of your choice. Water you can use in the mixture.
Add your ingredients for salty or sweet puran poli as per as choice .
Many people don't have grinder or grinding in silbatta is big job.

Wow this is such a easy recipe of puran poli, I am a north Indian and for me this is soo good. I can have it without the efforts and it’s healthy too. My kids loved it . We had it with lots of ghee on top.

Puran poli is our traditional delicacy and we should preserve our traditions. If we manipulate it, the new generation will never know the original style. And ofcourse it cant taste the same.
Definately innovative recipe but you should give some another name to it bcoz puran poli is traditional recipe of Maharashtrian people whatever you have shown is completely different so please don't miss guide
