Use buttermilk instead water your rotis will reamin soft no need to use oil. Adding oil will allow the rotis to become crispy and then become like leather texture.

Once the dough is ready, rolling out one roti, cooking it and simultaneously rolling out another roti happens in less than one minute, one roti is on the fire and the other one is already on the tawa...... Much easier and time saving by the traditional way actually

    Official review on liquid roti:
Tried to replicate the water and atta quantity according to the recipe it didnt work. The batter was too thick had to add more water!
The tried to put batter in roti shape it didnt rise as I thought it would. And it takes too long to cook almost takes double the time or more.
Taste wise too not the best. Would rate it 4/10.
LESSON LEARNT: THERE IS NO SHORTCUT TO MAKE ROTIS! WE HAVE TO WORK FOR IT!

So glad I didn't dive into it because I make pancakes all the time. So this recipe IS a pancake batter because of it's wet runny consistency. Roti is made with dough like puris. The Mexicans use a tortilla machine to make fajitas in a press machine which is like roti. 😊

This is called wheat dosa as simple as that...and it won't puff at all....but the taste will be awesome and it looks somewat similar to chappathi...and this dosa is lot more crispy aswell as soft compared to chappathis....whereas chappathis stay soft, fluffy and layered...

This is wheat dosa. I add green chillies, hing, curry patta and in little oil put mustard seeds, chana dal and uruddal and when it turns golden add to this batter. It tastes yummy.
