Sweet lord Chris! THANKS! Amazing to see your take on this, of course I secretly hoped you would do it haha 🎸
how could you...
Thank you Paul for introducing us to Chris!
Not a real friend Paul 😂
I love Paul Davids reaction videos. Always so... tasty 😂
Pauls solo video was how i discovered you bud.. sick solo!
Glad we got to see your rendition of the solo at least
If it wasn't for Paul and his video, I never would have known you. But man, you are a killer guitarist. Learnt a great deal just by watching you play and talk. Thank you
I was literally thinking you would have been perfect for that type of solo and here it is! You and Ross absolutely killed it 😊
I was thinking the same thing lol
Ross’s was superb 🥰
My actual comment on Paul Davids' video was that I really missed Chris Buck on that track!
Ross was 100% the best on that. Mateo was a bit disappointing
Ross’s solo was awesome
Thanks Chris for still giving us the privilege to hear your version! Amazing and such a treat as usual. Really hope to see you in Vienna soon!
Chris, I'm an old fart and I've heard a lot of guitar players in my time. Your playing blows me away! Particularly, the interludes in your FF videos. Thank you! I learn how to be a better guitarist because you inspire me to be better. Sincerely... thank you.
Such flavor in your playing
No wasted notes with pure intention
Beautiful
Cheers!
Chris youre most gracious and one of the most tastiest players ive seen on youtube
Thank you Chris, for all the music and inspiration 🎸
Paul’s reaction to the 2020 solo makes my smile every time😊
It was Paul Davids 2020 Video that first introduced me to your brilliant Guitar playing, he has a fantastic channel, and this new video was equally great (your take on the track was super too)
Same here. It blew my mind when I saw Chris' solo on that video... just amazing
Me too. I've never seen anyone play with as much feel as Chris. And it really stood out in Paul's video.
Me three😄
Chris' & Paul's solo-ing really stood out for me.
Me four.😊
me five what a guitar playing
A lot of excellent guitar players these times but Chris Buck touches my heart, it's like feeling in peace and a pleasant warmth expands through your body.
You're an inspiration mate! The melodic phrasing & passion in your playing is second to none. RUclips wouldn't be the same without that weekly hit of Friday Fretworks. Much love from Scotland, Gerry Son & The Smokin' Gun.
Beautiful playing as always Chris!
Good on you mate, stay blessed Chris, I'm sure by now you know that we are thanking you for what you bring to us. Thank you for allowing us the privilege to journey along with you as quiet observers, what a blessing, and yes, Paul Davis is a stellar gentlemen on all levels, he always cracks me up while at the same time delivering outstanding music.
Thanks to you Chris and Paul for the absolutely fun, creative and informative videos. It’s nice to see that there are still amazing people making amazing music.
Chris, we are blessed to have you in our screens and sharing your music, talent and many information revolving the world of music. Thank you and keep going!
Chris, you have the deepest emotional depth in your solos that I’ve ever heard. Thanks for sharing it, keep up the good work!
The "idk it doesn't sound the same" always kills me.
Such delicate and tactile elegance, every note earning it's place. Beautiful!
Buck, both of your solos are fantastic. Such smooth tone control, bold punch, real expression, and playful range. ... I clicked on this video thinking there was some petty tension between you and Paul Davids. I am deeply pleased to find I was wrong. Real, honest class. Thank you.
The Paul Davids vid was indeed amazing.... must watch. Enjoying the channel, Chris!
So good! And despite not having listened to your solo from the 2020 video for some time, I can still hum/sing almost all of it. Definitely a sign of just how great it is!
From the get go of the majority of guitar videos I started watching on YT they all sort of evolved from their “stand alone” creation. As the years have passed on all of you guys are virtually in touch or a part of the same community! This is quite a testament to all of your talents!
Why we watch?
You, Paul, Eric etc. bring us all together!
Thank you
👍🇦🇺
Once again I am speechless by your opening solo. Thank you Chris. God bless you, your family, and the band.
Chris, hadn't heard of you until just watching Paul's video. All the improvs were great, but yours was something else.... It was magical. Thank you so much for that masterpiece. Look forward to tuning in to Friday Fretworks from now on. Cheers mate!
Right on Chris - thanks for contributing to this amongst the other great players. Truly appreciate the inspiration!
Thank you so much for posting this, Chris. I have watched Paul's vid so many times - it is such an achingly beautiful backing track - and now I've got your take on it to get my head round. Thank you again.
What makes this so damn good is it carries an idea the entire way through while complimenting the song itself, which is a constant theme with all of your playing.
This is such a superb ballad, lyrical take on this lead! 👏👏👏
Paul's challenge was a great one and I think there are so many accomplished YT'ers that could bring a new thought to it. The thing that I grow from is that there are an infinite amount of perspectives to be explored.👏👏👏
agree.. infinity is real
Chris, thanks for making Friday's that special. As usual, amazing melodic inspiring and enjoyable solo. Can't wait until next Friday.
Chris, I think this is the first time I was actually laughing at the brilliance of a "click-bait" title! Thanks for making me laugh. I loved your solo, btw. :)
Awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed all the other soloists but damn, yours was pretty incredible for how melodically aligned to the progression it was. A great blend of slow and fast and soft and hard playing. Beautiful. Thx for the tab too
You and Paul are class acts through and through! I have been a follower of both of you for quite some time know and your post always provide such a sharing of knowledge, entertainment, and inspiration! I look forward to watching as you both elevate social media to new heights! Much respect!👏👏👏
I think most of us felt the urge of hearing you do this one… so thank you for getting that out of our system as well… amazing as always 🤘🏻
Chris, you're a true treasure, so glad I found Friday Fretworks, you've inspired me to play again, I'd pretty much given up until I started watching your channel. Thank you so much.
You owe a lot to Paul’s reaction as well, that completes your playing so much!! Great job on the new solo , as always!
Hey Chris I always listen to your entire videos the first time I watch them but I do often go back just to hear your songs. Man you are a great guitarist!
OMG! There were some excellent solos on Paul’s video and your send up of this was entertaining in its own right but, and this is a big but, no other solo brought an emotional response like this on for me. I don’t know how to express the difference in words but I sure am glad you did it and I could hear it- thank you!!
Chris has amazing feel, it's what separates the very good and great - omho. Jack from peach guitars has it as well. Being able to play the notes in a way that pulls the strings of emotion. It's a great gift to have. You know it when they start to play, people stop and listen. To top it off, they make it look easy but it's anything but.
After 10 years playing guitar, watching you the last 1 year has changed a lot in my guitar playing and improvisation. THANK YOU for inspiring us almost every week. Keep doing your thing, Chris... You're highly appreciated.
t's amazing ppl get it into their head they can learn an instrument without lessons. 10 years of lessons and you'd be smoking slash now instead of funbling around for something. seriously
@@jgunther3398 And who said I learned without lesson? If you ask the greatest musicians, they will tell you that the biggest lesson you can take is listen to others playing. Ppl on internet think they are better than others, even though you have no idea of who I am. Instead of showing hate or criticism, try showing love next time, I bet you will feel better.
There is nothing we viewers can say bro... its all you! You inspire us to think outside the norms of "influence" and all we can do is be dazzled! Thank you Chris Buck! Keep playin' us out!! ❤❤
Thank you Chris for all those video's for us to enjoy.
If I rememeber correctly I've been following you since that video. Three years arlready, time really flies now days! Thank you for great and inspiring playing and videos. Your playing is high up on the list for me so keep up the good work!
that's just amazing. I love your phrasing and the switching between pick & finger plucking.
Holy Crap! Your playing blew me away, love your phrasing.
Chris, Friday Fretworks has become a ‘must have’ to kick-start the weekend. Apart from your obvious gift as a guitarist, you appear a gracious and decent bloke; fair play to you. I was at the Islington gig, and cannot wait to see CB again.
You're a nice bloke who has his own way of very talented playing. You're very original in your way of playing and it sounds great to my ears! Thanks for what you do.
Keep going on Chris. I love this channel and your insight into music and of course your wonderful playing. 🎉
Thanks Chris, Pauls' reaction to the 2020 solo is spot on! Cheers from Canada.
Chris, thank you very much indeed for sharing your music, and peculiar magnificent style, with us. Cheers.
You phished me! 🤣 out of all people Paul David’s . Tx for catching my attention, cheers and keep sharing and inspiring all of us to keep at it. Tx. Ben NY
Thanks for kind words Chris 🙏🏻 but always my pleasure, got goosebumps writing it out and I’m always worried the tabs will never convey that special something in your playing. Maybe need to add a text box saying ‘play with added Buck factor’ 🤟🏻🎸
Come on Mr Buck, don't click bait us like that with your thumbnail.
Just beautiful Chris! Thank you that solo was a brilliant start to my day!❤😊👍🙏🎸✌️👋
Hey glad you did record the video. I enjoy both your playing and the topics you address and your opinion on those topics. Keep up the great music and great video content.
THAT solo man… I keep on listening almost every week since 2020. And of course anyone that followed
You are an incredible guitarrist... something that I can not explain about my feeling when I listen your solo...
Chris deserves at least 5x the number of subscribers than he currently has. When you hear Chris play, you immediately know it's him even without seeing him. That's not a knock at all, he has a signature sound and no one else sounds like him.
Never heard about you until I casually saw you in NAMM 2020 playing in the Line6 booth and you blew my mind. Amazing playing as always.
Great solo! I watched that (Paul’s) video the other day. I enjoy your playing as well as your explanations. You truly have one of my favorite channels. Be well!
Yours was the best three yrs ago Chris, but this time when I watched the other solos the other day I thought they couldn’t be bettered , but guess what ? You just did it pal …. Fabulous melodic guitar playing mate !
Paul's new solo collab video was indeed great. Immediately after watching it I went back and listened to the original one with Chris' gem. Now this new unofficial solo is absolutely superb. Exactly what we have come to expect from you Chris! Keep on playing it all.
Beautifully melodic and tasteful playing as always, an insane talent that’s impossible to replicate no matter how much others try!
That was amazing! I would love to see you break that down and explain what you had in mind when paying each part. Great job, as always!
Friday fretworks is a permanent part of my week
I come here for the playing and the talking. Love your channel and the weekly Friday Fretworks.
You are indeed a gracious young man Chris! I'm subbed to both your and Paul's channels. Wow... what an accomplished musician. When he asys, after trying just abit of your solo, "it just doesn't sound the same." Well... put it this way... I couldn't wait for your upload today. And no dis whatsoever, now, I will go and listen to Paul's video and all those legends. Thanks Chris, I stand inspired by your strength and perseverance to succeed in the music and concert world. It is the direct artistic expression of self I have always aspired to. Sam Hatman... pretty dang old player.
Thank you Chris for all you do. I learned so much from you and this channel. 👍😊❤
Besides watching your videos to enjoy your playing, I find what you have to say pragmatic, insightful, and thoughtful.
I love the melodic passion you inject into your guitar playing.
Great solo. A lot of emotions and very melodic.
Magnificent solo, dude... congrats !
Your playing continues to inspire me. I went to a guitar store today and was checking out a Strat, they took me to the amp room and plugged me in to a Fender Twin. I didn't bring a plectrum so I gave it a go just using fingers, much like you do. Certainly something I will investigate further! Thank you for opening my eyes to new techniques.
Chris, you are living proof that great feel, creative melodic phrasing and lush tone will always were the crown. Play on mate!
You are such a talent Chris.
Much love from Scotland!
Yes, loved your playing on Paul’s video. Stunning playing.
This video showed up on my feed and I was hesitant to view it because I think Paul is awesome and I didn't want to hear any negative comments, but I somehow felt that that wouldn't happen. Glad I watched it! I'm now a fan of yours, Chris! Awesome licks!
Can't say much more than has already about Chris Buck, he is in a league of his own. This solo is no exception ... amazing!
Keep up the great work and fantastic playing. You're hard work is much appreciated 👍
Your influence on all of these artists is undeniable!
Yeah, I heard that, too. Chris is unique...
Ha, love how you ended this with Paul’s reaction. Bravo!
Without doubt one of the most breathtaking solos I have ever heard. ❤
I haven't missed an episode in well over a year. Fridays rock!
I've Waited for your rendition 😍
Don’t kid yourself my friend, you are a truly amazing guitarist and we are all lucky to hear it!
Beautiful JAM! Just amazing.
Your playing is so expressive!
You have such an amazingly expressive style of playing. Truly great!
Thanks for the tab Chris
Chris, just found you through the PD title hook and WOW, mind blown! I immediately went looking for more and saw your other projects- also some truly great music and collaborations. But Man! My friend you owe it to the world to do a pure guitar project. You’ve got your own pure sound like Danny Gatton, or Eric Johnson, Buckethead, SRV… I hope your future gives the world more of that unique feeling in your opening jam solo there. Your band work is awesome, but your solo potential I think could become legendary. I’ll be watching and listening! Good luck!
So good Chris, so good.
Your solos are so emotional. Love the phrasing!
You got me , you're playing is heavenly and yes I remember you from the wonderful Paul Davids , so you have another subscriber , cheers from Vancouver Island
It is indeed a "staggering list of musicians, with some truly breathtaking guitar playing" ... and yet your solo was the most evocative IMHO :-)
Thank you for the free tab, that's a great solo!
Very nicely done guys 👍, it’s so nice to see and hear a really positive podcast… even if it had a tongue in cheek intro 😊
It's a real pleasure to see Friday fretworks as often as possible. And I must say I was a bit disappointed not to see you in the last edition of Paul Davids solo video!!! What a surprise ❤
Wooooah, that was incredibly powerful.... absolutely brilliant!
Dude, totally loved your solo!
Great solo!! ✨
Your solo was both beautiful and brilliant. Bravo!
That's one lovely solo, young man. Beautiful
