@SquatsnDeads812 This is simply not true. Time under tension means nothing. There is no scientific research which says that keeping muscle under constant tension builds more mass than locking out. If you want bigger chest and triceps from dips better focus on progressive overload and getting stronger. This is the key for muscle growth, not constant tension.
@@marksmith2806 2 years ago or so there was a study proving constant tension on triceps extensions tho! You can find it urself. It's was the first time it was actually proven to be more beneficial than full ROM / non-locking out reps. I think Jeff Nippard mentioned it in a video as well.
It's about the weight shift. For example if you shift yourself forward (feet back) youre focusing more on shoulders and chest. If you shift backwards (and feet forward) then more on triceps. I feel L sit dips excrusiating for my triceps.

I always thought locking out meant, straighten you arm out. What I saw there was keeping the arm under constant tension. I’m confused now.

He said lock the triceps, not the elbows
So “lock the triceps” means stop before the top? When you do tricep rope push downs they always say to fully extend for maximum results
Agree, as I've rarely seen Jay putting Dip in chest day.....at least not many as arms day
how do you explain the right way to do it and then not follow up on what you just said (locking elbows out)?!
constant tension
KUKKYE/Sleepyhead that’s some gay body building Shit that’s been debunked , you should always lock out dips .
he is locking out lol, its just the way his arms are
@Lao Ban He did lock out
@Jason Bourne *you're
I'm too tall to keep my feet straight below me on the tricep dip at my gym so what's an alternative that would have the same affect?
Joel Scott bend your knees it's fine lol

In order to get full contraction of your tricep, your arms should be in line with your body, means, straight.
