    Where can I find 18 inch shin guards? Seems none of the major manufacturers make them. I'm 6'5" and wear them over the tongue

      Unfortunately you're right that major manufacturers don't make 18" shin guards. You'll have to find an alternative avenue like Ebay, SidelineSwap or Pro Stock Hockey.

    Great video.i bought my son 12" vapors thinking they were too big but under the tongue is perfectly centered on his knee cap.may have been too soon for a 12 but he's grown out of his pads every season he can grow into a set.

      Thanks Mike! That's a great way to get a few years out of shin guards while growing!

    How do I know what size if I don't have my skates readily available

    • @ice.warehouse
      @ice.warehouse  4 года назад +1

      If you browse through the shin guards on our website, each one has a sizing chart with height included. You can then see which shin guard is right for you based on your height.

      If the shin guard properly covers your leg and you followed the guide in the video...it's a good fit!

    Im at a 16.5. So get a 17 inch?

    • @ice.warehouse
      @ice.warehouse  3 года назад +3

      Depends on how you plan on wearing them. Under the skate tongue go with 16", over the skate tongue go with 17".

    I am 190 cm tall, would 15 or 16 be the best fit?

    • @ice.warehouse
      @ice.warehouse  6 месяцев назад +1

      I'd try the 16" first to make sure you're fully covered. But, if there's too much overlap between the skate and the shin guard, then the 15" would be a better fit.

      How many centimeters or inches would you think is the maximum space allowed in between the shin guard and the skate?

    I am 180 cm - 14 or 15 ? 🤔

    • @ice.warehouse
      @ice.warehouse  2 года назад

      14" if you wear the shin guards under your skate tongue, 15" if your wearing the shin guards over your skate tongue.

    I am 5 foot and have 13” shin pads are they too big.

    • @ice.warehouse
      @ice.warehouse  2 года назад +1

      Hey G Birmingham!
      I saw your other comment too, and from what it sounds like 13" might be too big for you. Based on our height recommendation, you should be in a 12" shin guard. If wearing them over your tongue has helped and you're still growing, then keeping the 13" shin guards are OK. But if they are inhibiting your range of motion and affecting your gameplay, it's always best to switch out for the right size.

      @@GriffBirmi hey man, I saw they gave some great advice for you, I just wanted to point out that there is also room for personal preference within that range. A lot of players, including myself, go for the smaller end of that measurement for better ankle mobility for skating but there are players that see a lot more blocked shots that may opt for larger shin pads or incorporate shot blockers onto their skates. Ultimately the best thing you can do is bring your skates with you to shop for shin guards (it isn’t weird at all and it will greatly help your purchase decision) and lace up your skates and try on the various sizes to better find the fit. Or even ask to try other guys shin guards on in your locker room and see what will work best for you game. Cheers.
