    This is by far the best video on hockey shin guard sizing on the web. Breaks down every point someone looking for shin guards needs to know. I especially like the emphasis on size difference between under or over the tongue, and consequences if this is sized incorrectly.

    Hey I was just wondering if you guys could make a video on how different lines of shin guards cater to different legs shapes/preferences

    I just got new shin pads. I could barely skate at practice yesterday. Now I tried putting them over the tongue of my skate and they seem a lot better.

    My shin guards are the exact size in length I need & I wear them over the tongue but they move all around & twist & turn. No matter how much tape & Velcro I use I can't get them to just stay I need some help

    hey Chase, I'm an entry level defencman player.. I stride the most on backward crossover. So should I go with outside the tongue? or under/INSIDE the tongue ?.. I also stride forwards, hockey stop, and transition backward to forward and vise versa... thanks

    Hi chase, i currently bought new supertacks skates size 7 and i love them. But there is an issue, since the boot is a lot bigger than my 5.5 size skates, my 14 inch ccm ultra tacks shinpads feel sort of bulky. Would you recommend dropping to 13 inch? ( i wear my shinpads under the tongue)

      @jmoak311 5 лет назад

      nickolasp I’m 5’10” and was recommended a 15” shin pad (tacks 7092) and they’re way too big I also go under the tongue. I would definitely recommend going one size smaller like he suggests.

    I am 5'4 and I currently wear 13" but I ordered 14" as 13 don't feel comfy but 14"s do.. did I make a good choice?

    My son hates to feel the shin guard against his skates at all. He wears them behind the tongue and and only likes them not to touch the rigid structure of the skate. I guess it’s ok to leave a very small gap but just buy shin pads more often?

      Hey Brad, I'm having trouble understanding your question. If you're wondering about the gap, there shouldn't be more than a finger width of space between the shin guard and skate. If so it's time to get a larger size shin guard.

    Hey, I'm 5'10" and weigh about 149,9 lbs and wear my shin guards over the Tongue. Should I get 14s or 15s?

    What low level roller skates should i get for outdoor play?

    • @krabz_oem
      @krabz_oem 8 лет назад

      +AnsonSnipes86 With ball or puck? But either way I think entry level skates would be just fine :)

      +krabz green just asking, why would i matter? Shouldnt it be the stick that matters if im playing outside?

      If you take a puck to the leg it will hurt more than the ball so maybe you should look for a higher level boot with more protection ;)

    im 5"7 and I wear 15 inches. when i put the shin guards on they are perfect for me. I also wear them under the tongue. I measured, 14 is my proper size but 15 covers my whole ankle. Guys, position is very important if you play defence use 1 inch bigger pads because you want extra shot blocking protection.
