Hi Chris, I want to thank you for sharing your knowledge of KNF. We have a small market garden farm (20 acres) in southwest Colorado and for the last year I have been studying KNF principles soaking up as much as I can find online. This morning I did my final extraction of my OHN solution and I had a bit of a "failure" that I thought I'd share with you as you might get a laugh. So, everything turned out beautifully and was going just fine. I was extracting and putting into my gallon jars, using our peoples press to get the last of the liquid out and then also filing a 1/2 gallon jar to be used for ourselves and farm according to the recipe. About half way through and after sipping on some of the medicine as I went along and starting to feel the effects I accidently started to pour my extraction of ginger into my half gallon jar instead of its mother jar, the gallon jar. Shit!! It's funny because I was thinking about this video and what you said about failures. Luckily all was not lost and we'll take that medicine ourselves and batch up another one with appropriate ratios for the soil. :P

    Dear Chris
Thank you for educating me on you video well I made loads of mistakes but but success I always wanted a rhododendron and my mother got me one but after planting I found out it need acceded soil but been from the west of Ireland our soil is pure clay lime stone I made a batch of your brew then put in farm yard sh1t with sugar sea weed liquid and water the weather was good so the barrel was bubbling so I gave it to the vegetables and flowers I though the rhododendron was dead for a while back all the leafs were brown I was going to give it a organic burial in my composting heap but I was waiting for family members to travel with the covirous for the funeral but five days later it was sprouting leafs and buds in I say it again lime rich clay ground miracle
    Thank you again God bless
Ps I done nothing the proper way but it working all my veggies and flowers love it and worms love it they want more

When you say "And now our material will be in a dormant state for use in the future", for how long is that?
I'm finding a lot of vageness and inconsistency in the little documentation I've found (mainly sarra's book and what's available at ctahr) about storage (how to, but most of all for how long), not only IMO's but fermented inputs too. Things like "long-term storage".

+J IMO2 keeps for 3+ years, you will need to spritz with a little water once every 4 months after the first year.
The difficulty of documentation as a student is why I am making the videos. FPJ can also keep for years... however I recommend making 6 month supplies. It can degrade in some situations.

@@biomei.solutions Mr Trump I really appreciate your videos. I'm all about the growlife and I'm very interested so I've started implementing some of these techniques u teach. I was hoping you could clear up some confusion. bear with me...
so in my bokashi bucket in told not to put anything with mold or rot because these aerobic organisms will start to compete with the anerobic microorganisms I had initially collected in the rice water that went thru the steps and used to inoculate the bran.
now as for the application . I'm making aerated compost teas. will it be benefial to add the bokashi bran (fermented) to one of these aerated compost teas? won't these microorganisms also be competing ? the ones in bokashi bran vs the ones from the compost. isn't take aerobic vs anerobic? what is wrong with my logic here? something doesn't add up

....so i guess what ill do now is just buy loads more wheat meal, and mix what i got into that??..wait for that to ferment...then add soil? lol...like you said Ill learn from my mistakes : ) any tips or help from whomever would be very much welcomed..peace.

Mr Trump, when we make IMO3 can white granulated sugar be used instead of the brown? where I live brown isn't easily accessible plus even tho the white is more refined (just extra steps) it costs 4 times less. it is what it is, basically another mistery of capitalism like recycled paper costing more than paper made from scratch.
if it's just to suck the water using osmotic pressure I don't see why the white won't do the same. I thought I'd ask before messing up my spores.

crisduar I am not Chris but I have studied soil and permaculture a little and I would guess that if you just wanted to mess around with the concept you can get your feet wet by taking some cooked rice and putting it in a nylon stocking something porous that doesn’t rot and bury it next to an old growth tree or put it on the ground somewhere there is an established forest and cover it over with leaves and such and check on it from time to time or just leave it and come back before the first frost. See what kinds of different things have grown on it and perhaps till it into a location in your yard or in your garden and water it in and see if that helps the growth in that area if not then try a different method . Sometimes I believe we must do things the so called wrong way to know the right way. Learning is what you get out of it and maybe you discover something completely new in the process. Good luck

I am curious what about using raw native honey instead of sugar, it creates osmotic pressure just as granular sugar does... What's your thoughts?

@@Vuonglinh1 honey has high osmotic pressure, when diluted with water the bacteria and yeasts are free to multiply and turn into the oldest alcohol known to man. That same osmotic pressure is what knf utilizes in shelf stable imo
