As of now atleast I feel the hacker is not as useful as it should be because it seems the hacking is based on the health of the enemy so lower health units get hacked almost instantly but any larger units take ages and because of that it feels like the hacker is more usable with the 5 hack ability but even then it just isn't as useful for its advertised use. :(

Any faster would be super OP though. It’s worth having if you can wear down the health and hack. And use the full life ability with it

Just damage the unit to hack it faster and get the perk that heals after hacking.

@@SolitaryLark ROFL doesn't matter in survival mode when the ai counters with 10 giant units and another 10 small units all sitting at lvl 7 or above...on like round 7 or 8 on hard...or one of my last games where the ai threw 5 lvl 3 arclights at round 2...and a compliment of 3 fangs on the right and 2 on the left...AT ROUND 2...literally no way to fight that. At round 2.

Playing AI and players is quite different. Most important things is, don't buy too many different units (like the ai does) try to figure out a good combo of 3-4 units vs what your opponent got.
