With the marksman sledge layout, for example, what do you do if the opponent uses sentry missiles? It looks like they can probably take out 300 value of units with each 50 cost missile, and in my experience that ends the game before the 7 rounds it would take for them to be losing money.

@@breeminator Putting the sledges to the side of the turret (in the 2 squares in front of the tower) should keep them safe as missiles wont be able to directly reach them. The missile will probably hit the crawlers directly behind the tower as they run forward. Of course, if you see the opponent is really abusing sentry missiles you can put a distraction crawler up front to tank the missile, with some potential additional crawlers to the sides with the same job.

This channel is like cheat codes enabled. One of the best players that everyone spectates turns out to be really intelligent and articulate and able to explain his thought process. Got a follow from me!

Hi Rooster, this is great info. However, the maxim "show, don't tell" would be beneficial. Playing through the funnelling and showing how things work in the testing grounds would go a long way to helping understand. Thanks!

Solid video, should be helpful when hopefully all the new people show up after the 1.0 launch.

What is your opinion on snipers and melting point in front of chaff / Sledgehammers. Since they will start to fire faster, and due to their range they will stop moving and still be overtaken by the faster units.

I would not recommend doing this. There is very little benefit to having the marksmen further forward, as they will likely be shooting chaff. Like in chess, units will not move backwards of themselves, so having the marksmen up front can hurt you in the lategame, when they would have enough range to shoot from further back.
