Yoga Nidra Guided Meditation - Stage 2 - Unlock The Power of Muladhara Chakra, the Root Chakra

  • Do you want to live the life you want to live rather than the one you feel you are supposed to live? So often we get lost in expectations rather than living life to the full. Open up those blockages and you will open up your life.
    Use this guided Yoga Nidra meditation to unlock the power of Muladhara chakra. The chakras are energy points in the body and when they are blocked our life doesn't flow freely or well. Working with the affirmations related to each chakra while in the meditative state is a very effective way to unblock whatever is blocking the chakra and open you up to a better way of living your life. This root chakra meditation unlocks the powers of safety and of being supported by the universe.
    This is a series of videos that work through each chakra in turn to allow all to become effective in adding their power to your life. The Stage 1 video takes a journey through all the names and locations of the chakras, then the following videos work with each chakra in turn. This Stage 2 video is focused on Muladhara chakra. the root chakra at the base of the body. I advise you to work through the videos in the order they are presented as each chakra needs to be unblocked in turn.
    Muladhara is located in the base of the body and it is our "root", where we ground ourselves. We want Muladhara to be stable and solid to allow us to grow and evolve from this strong base.
    The red colour of Muladhara relates to strength and courage, awakening and movement. The seed mantra LAM that relates to Muladhara can be used as a chant to awaken the chakra, and is very soothing to the area of Muladhara chakra.
    The Sankalpa or resolve that is used here to unlock Muladhara is, "I am safe and I am supported". This allows the freedom of feeling safe and supported, freeing up any blocks in Muladhara. If the Sankalpa doesn't resonate with you, you could re-word it, but I would advise you to get some guidance to ensure the wording is suitable.
    This video will assist you in working through unblocking Muladhara chakra. You should try to master this before you progress to the next stage. With each stage you will go further into unlocking your own power through the chakras. There is skill in recognising which chakra is blocked, and how to unblock each chakra in its own way to allow the life force to flow freely through the chakras up to the crown and beyond. There are colours, sounds (mantras), qualities, emotions and more attached to each of the chakras. You will learn some of these as we progress through the stages.
    If you have recognised a particular chakra as requiring work, you can also go directly to that recording and work on the chakra, but I would advise you to then work through each chakra in order.
    In the deeply relaxed state of Yoga Nidra the brain is receptive to learning and to working through ideas. Ideas, concepts, names introduced during Yoga Nidra, become deeply seated into memory!
    Yoga Nidra is a powerful guided meditation or mindfulness practice. You will be taken through steps to prepare for this practice, to deeply relax your body, to become aware of sensations in the body, to listen to and feel your breath, to be aware of the parts of the body. All this is the start of awareness that will unlock your own power to guide your life in the direction you want to go.
    Chakra meditation can be a very powerful way to clear blockages. There are 8 stages currently planned in this Chakra series, planned to be uploaded once weekly, but I fell behind due to some personal events, so will be catching up the next few this week.
