The first time I used it, I put way too much on and didn’t mix it with lotion or HA before putting it on. It burned like hell and I washed it off. Then I mixed it with the ordinary hydralonic acid and used just a pea sized for the whole face and OMG!!!!! It makes my skin feeling smooth and beautiful. I was about to return it before I watched your video. The reason it’s in spheres is because vitamin C denatures quickly if it’s not protected prior to application. I learned that from Dr. Dray on RUclips.
People always think that if you add oil to your face you get acne. So squalane added to the sebum on your face makes you breakout. BUT it's the opposite because your face produces sebum to protect the skin because most acne skins lacks water. So the skin is trying to balance out the lack of moisture by producing oil. AND when your moisture barriers is optimal and you still have oily skin more oil can balance it out. BECAUSE the skin already has a moisture barrier you added and does not need to produce more .. if you use the right amount of oil. That is a confusion 'normal' people have because it sounds logic, but it's just the opposite when used correct. PS I'm a allround beautician studying further
I use Biossance Squaline oil everyday for years and doesn’t cause breakout. I love it. I’m a dry skin type and I can put a lot on and doesn’t make me oily at all. Was wondering if I should mix the Ordinary Vitamin C suspension in it?
I use the 23% vitamin c, I mix it with a couple drops of the ordinary hyaluronic acid and it completely eliminates the gritty feeling! It goes on smooth
Was going to say the same. In the beginning I put it in my moisturizer but I can’t feel it now and you’re so right about the extra HA in it to help it. It’s amazing.
I used the Timeless Vitamin C with frolic acid and didn't see much results. I am 64 and noticed a difference right away with The Ordinary C 23% and HA spheres. I do use a moisturizer (CeraVe) followed by an oil. Seems to be working and a lot less $ !!!

Vitamin c suspension 30 % in silicone is my favorite, it has done wonders on my skin and my skin is healthy, I use also 5 ordinary products and they’re awesome to my skin too
Bianca Pgrn Hi too I have glycolic acid 7%, mandelic acid 10% , and NMF all from ordinary and lactic acid10 % these are exfoliators and i usually use them pm time. Like glycolic acid 2 to three times per week and mandelic 2 per week and lactic i use it every evening because my skin have loved it. Note that if your skin is sensitive if you will buy lactic acid start with 5% because deciem have 5% and 10 %. Cleanser i am using la roche posay gentle hydrating .
I JUST started using the 23% + HA spheres 2% and, I absolutely LOVE it. My skin is very dry so this works great as it leaves my skin soft and glowing. The texture feels like it’s exfoliating the skin which I really like. The product eventually dissipates after 10-15 minutes so after that you can’t even feel it anymore. But you’re right, it’s not for everyone especially for someone with an oily skin.
For the first Vitamin C I recommend and so do other people that you mix it with your moisturizer or when applying it by itself you dab it in instead of rubbing because I noticed it can ball up. I have dry and acne prone skin and have not broken me out.
@@nenitalunita2362 I do that's where I noticed it would ball up the most, so I just go very lightly under my eyes. Also the stinging sensation doesn't happen anymore.

I use the 23% suspension and I have seen my skin get brighter and more radiant with this, I am acne prone with very oily skin and it works wonders for me.
The grittyness doesn't indicate a lack of stability, quite the opposite, it indicates that it's a suspension rather than a solution. The whole point of the high concentration, lack of water (why it's referred to as a suspension in silicon, ascorbic acid isn't very soluble in silicon), and the opaque packaging is to ensure stability. These two are by far the most stable vitamin C products you can buy short of completely anhydrous, pure vitamin C (which TO actually sells as well but I wouldn't recommend).
Off topic, I bought the shower filter thing you recommended. First I bought only a filter not the gizmo it fits inside. So now I have an extra filter 😂 But that works because my hair is less yellow already. Thanks!
I just got my ordinary vitamin c 30% and it feels gritty and made my face smell like the sea, it kinda smells salty i don't know haha well atleast for me

Bought and tried the Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%... the first time I tried it, it burned my face and neck pretty bad but I just thought I mixed it with something that it shouldn't be mixed with. Gave my face a week to "heal". Tried it again alone (after cleansing my face with a gentle cleanser) could not wash it off fast enough. Have heard it could be slightly irritating but this burned my face so bad. The tingling was awful and wasn't subsiding, left my face red and burning. I've heard some people mention having to "build up" to using certain ingredients. Maybe I'm allergic to something in it. Not for me... :(
I had to build my skin hot to use even niacinamide I just made sure I only used a drop or two mixed in with the most basic moisturiser but than again if your reacting that bad perhaps there’s something your skin is allergic to
Use sandwich method, moisturizer +vitamin c+ moisturizer. it will soothe the tingling effect. I use Azelaic acid suspension first then vitamin c suspension 23%+ moisturizer. Zero tingling and greasiness.

Hi, if someone does micro needling on whether on the face or stomach which would you say use as a nice collagen producing/non irritating aftercare product?
Now I think you definitely maybe confused Squalane and squalene. TO suspension contains Squalane which is GREAT for acne prone skin. I think you confused Squalane with Squalene Which can be bad for acne prone skin. So I think you confused the two ingredients. But TO one contains the acne safe one Squalane just as an FYI. I think maybe you mixed up Squalene and Squalane.
I don’t have them confused! Squalane is the saturated, shelf-stable form of squalene. While it may be safe for those with acne, it may be an issue. This was confirmed by a dermatologist. It’s not universal.

I don’t on a daily basis but I’ll make a video on it!
Thanks Abbey! That would be awesome! :-)
Hi, if someone does micro needling on whether on the face or stomach which would you say use as a nice collagen producing/non irritating aftercare product?
peptides (not copper peptides) are great and generally non irritating!
@@AbbeyYung ok thanks!
Hello does this suspension has a smell to it?? Because mine has a funny smell. Like salty smell🤣🤣
It smells like grandpa underwear
@@coolcartooninmychannel1111 why did u smell ur grandpa's undie
Because I wash mine and grandpa cloths every week
@@coolcartooninmychannel1111 u don't have washing machine dear?
@@greenrocket9344 nope
What foundation do you use?
I believe this one is too faced BTW! Currently testing new ones & will be doing an update video 😊
can u mix niacinamide toner with this vit c?
Yes! As long as it’s not causing irritation those two ingredients can be used together
No, niacinimide negates effectiveness of vitamin c. Don't use these 2 together.
I like the 30% silicon vitamin C. It also helps hide my pores around my nose. Any tips on acne like bumps from wearing face mask?
That’s great! I have a face mask acne video up already & will be doing an acne update soon 😊
What is the best moisturizer cream for oily skin ?
I love the Cerave PM lotion when I’m feeling oily
Question: what drugstore vitamin c serum do you recommend?? Btw I love your videos ❤️
I reviewed one from ELF in my last ELF review!
Abbey Yung thank you for always answering my questions 💕
Tried on of those when I first discovered The Ordinary. Yikes!😲Nope for me!
The only thing I don't agree about is when I'm applying it feels good
Is there a age limit to who can use the products
Prettier without make ups.
Looking for an affordable vit c and have senitive skin but these don't sound great. What about other vitamin C the ordinary sells?
I used to use their ascorbyl glucoside solution & it was pretty good! But the one I use now is from DRMTLGY and is better
