IS THERE BIG MONEY IN THE CRUDE OIL INDUSTRY?

  • The crude oil industry can be great but you have to make sure you save your money when things are popping because everything can end very abruptly out of nowhere. Make sure if you do decide to go into this before you get there buy all your essential cloths in your area because price gauging is very big in the areas the oil is being produced. The biggest places for crude oil are North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Texas...

Pull forward and back several times before you set your brakes. And never set your trailer brakes in super cold weather.

That sounds like a great idea! I'm not a trucker but think I would enjoy that. Home away from home. Plus home cooked meals, rides to store and DR. and rides to shop. Like your with family while away.

Nice video man and yeah when the oil feild is booming your golden great money but you always want 2 or 3 different trailers for your truck if your a o/o incase the oil feild falls you can park your oil trailer or trailers and hook onto your reefer dryvan or flatbed or a bull rack or grain trailer and make money that way until the oil feild sky rockets again

Your friends idea of a truckers bed and breakfast would be great. Eventhough they are saying they will pick you up. I would suggest maybe getting some acreage and build a parking lot. Start off small and grow. I know back in the early 2000 when I first learned. Several truck stops halted cars pulling in and out of the truck parking. I know things have changed. Just a thought. Love the b n b idea.

The people looking at the idea of a Bed and Breakfast for truckers, should look into what is called ‘Trail Angels’ on the long hiking trails. They provided a variety of services for hikers. Shipping goods ahead of the hikers, arranging lodging or helping with appointments etc. A very good idea.

Spent two years in North Dakota working.
Right we’re your at. Hauling crude and then franc sand.
Hauling oil to eog rail yard or beaver lodge in tioga or other places in the area.
I would stay 3-5 weeks on and go home for a week or two. Longest I stayed was 4 months straight one winter.
I was there back in 13 when we made 3k a week as company drivers and then 12-15 a week as owner ops.
There was a lot of money out there then.
But it dropped hard in 2015 January. That’s when I left.
    We ran wild back then.
The time away from home is hard for everyone and the ups and down are hard. Then the break downs on equipment made it hard.
That crude tanker u showed isn’t the biggest.
They have other ones with the spread axel in the back and those u can load 245-270 bbl depending on gravity and temp of oil.
The truth is that to make money out there u need to be an owner op and haul heavy. Way heavy. And run with no log book. Then u will make money. But u get cought or in an accident and your done. They will ticket u till your momma cries. And if u hurt someone, u will get charged and arrested. I seen it happen out there. Fatalities , heavy tickets , trucks hit by trains, roll overs, truckers falling asleep at the wheel, truckers dead in sleepers cause of heart attacks, fights, big money, big losses and more.
    I loved it till I didn’t.
I left and am doing otr these days. Much slower pace, great money, much much less expenses and insurances, better quality of life and just a cleaner life in general.

Having a place to keep on trucking would make it that much more fun. A friendly environment. You’d feel like family. I stayed in the same hotel and grew some great relationships so I could only imagine how awesome that would be.

Just keepin it real primo. Took time off for 4 months. After being in oilfield for 10 years. Sometimes water hauling pays better than oil. Done both. Water hauling is nasty your always dragging hoses. I'll stick to oil cuz you don't have to work as hard. And nobody will tell you they start you off in the night shift. Until they say you can move to day shift. Usually it takes 6 months. Very few company's pay by the hour anymore. Everyone pays by the load. Each load is different , loaded miles. If you get a reject that pays minimal 15 to 50 anymore if any. Oh yeah this is for co. drivers not o/ops. If your an o/op you can rake it in but be very careful. These days even one traffic ticket will cost you the whole job. Dirt roads are nasty. Wear a football helmet. Good numbers to ya. Keep the shiny side up.!

Coning is a rate-sensitive phenomenon generally associated with high producing rates. Strictly a near-wellbore phenomenon, it only develops once the pressure forces drawing fluids toward the wellbore overcome the natural buoyancy forces that segregate gas and water from oil.
    ruclips.net/video/xjRBznQUZMg/видео.html
Bottomwater can be pulled into a well by excessive producing rates:
this may occur in either an oil or gas well. This problem is called "coning" and is indicated by increasing water oil ratio as flow rates are increased. It can generally be improved by reducing the production rate.
