The reason you have to be clean shaven is to achieve a respirator seal. In case anyone was wondering.
Clean shaving is BS! You got company man, pushers etc full beard on location but want third party companies clean shave lmao
I have worked in the oilfields for 10+ years and i will say don't let them fool you... the oilfields are feast or famine... I have seen people come into the industry and get their first truck and buy a new truck, house, new cars, atvs, boats, ect and then lose every 6 months later!!
Wish I could do it, I would save as much as possible.
How do you get in the industry I would love to drive for someone
@@user-so9di5ov1b look up cdl jobs in west Texas or North Dakota. Haul sand oil water whatever
They are always hiring.
This only worked for TCT because they went in right before when the oil boom hit. It’s pointless now. With shit pay.
Pure luck

Amen. A well paid regular job beats a turn around job any day
I actually got into oil business in 2010 in south texas. I had a cdl and started hauling oil down to Corpus Christi. Did that for 9 months then started producing oil and gas and working with the truck companies to haul my oil. It was big time money for a lot of companies. I still know some guys that haul Frac sand for some San Antonio truck companies. Cool to hear the story.
How can I get a contract to haul oil
How did you start producing oil and gas? You became a wildcatter?
To be honest...when rates fell the companies that refused to take a hit let the scavengers have the low rates.... that's what kept the rates low. Not the oilfield. We bounced and keep our rates. If it's not profitable the truck sits. TCT,Schneider, Steven's, spirit and many more contributed to the rates falling by being scavengers
It's all Sunland demand. Some preffer to eat others to starve.
They even tried working with Sandbox for a well or two but sandbox didn’t even need them so wells were over trucked they eventually backed out since they were making 0 money i think this was in 2018-2019 don’t remember exactly
People can't grasp the idea that nothing is forever, they want to live in paradise their whole life and the reality is the opposite.. Life is a rollercoaster sometimes your up and other times you're down.
Duffle bag Bernard never should’ve told this guy his secret sauce 😂
LMAO 🤣
@@PILLAHDONTPLAY Come on Bro... someone telling another person what they're doing and how they're doing it don't mean a damn thing. Just because it worked for them, doesn't mean it will work exactly the same for the next person. You have tons of people who've done very well, then sell their knowledge through seminars or books... only to see the majority of those people buying this knowledge Fail miserably. Bottom line.... it ain't that easy!!!
Scammer for sure
What works 4 one guy might not work the same 4 the next guy. It ain't about the sauce, it's about working the system the best you can 4 you & your situation. Telling someone your system don't mean it's gonna work 4 them.
Yea, he for sure cut him out.
This guy is a good interviewer.
The demand of trucks per site at those times was true. It has slowed down a lot. But those stories are true. I saw it. Companies would hire whole fleets and have them on stand by just to have access to a whole fleets of trucks on demand. I'm a flow back.
Flowback is a hard job. Props to you brother.
I use to work for this guy Raul tct transportation. Cool dude we ran hard.
How was the money?
This dude is a fraud 🤦
I’m actually down in Kermit,Tx hailing frac sand
Odessa Texas ✌️
This video is truly enlightening! Thank you for sharing.
ILA LOCAL 28 HOUSTON TX in the house.
TRUCKIN ZUKZ LIFE OUTTA YA . he waz kizzin booty left & right .
Chingón la familia TCT ❤️❤️
I love Fracking 🫶🏽👍🏽
I knew i recognized this dude once he said TCT. lol he holding out on alot of info of how it really was in eagle ford shale in south texas. XD
Good interview Tku
It's interesting, a very different way of trucking. It's not my cup of tea at the moment, but it's seeded in my mind of possibility.
Don't worry about the man
Duffel Bag Bernard is a kind man.
Where do i begin? And, can my family travel along behind in a rv? Or on the pipelines, are there places I could have my rv so that is my "home" during time off?
Real hitter in the game
I'm and owner operator, and would love to find and opertunity like that , but nobody really tells you anything unless you know someone I've been driving for about 2 years it's been rough
What's up man my name is Alex. I 100 percent agree with you. I noticed this as well over the years. I make it a point to help guys with as much info as I can. I have my own authority and am open to any new owner operators that want to run with us. Let me know if your interested. Either way. Merry Christmas!
@Alex Lozano merry Christmas, thanks for reaching out I would love a good opportunity, I live in California is this the company that hauls frac sand, hopefully, I pronounced that correctly I believe that's in Texas but I'm definitely interested, and would really like to know more I have my authority I would like more details whenever you have time gotta go where the money 💰 is
Do you ASK though? Are you keeping your eye out for networking opportunities?? You have to ASK people and network
Oh I always ask did you not see the post
Wha are the dangers of hauling frac sand ?
Mi primo 💪👍🙌👌💰💵
Tell them the reason you need ppe. If that fracsand hits your lungs you’re a goner
💯✌️
I heard about this... guys from the valley making 1,000 a week working 7 days a week🤣🤣🤣
Facts. Bringing in b1s into they employ aswell. Lol
Been there done that. Worked 7 days a week for $600. Only you can change that
1,000 working 7 days is not much for a trucker that’s underpaid, ppl make 1,000 working 5 days
Raul Méndez el chapulin
Oil went from over $100 a barrel to less than $50. We went from 60 drivers to 10.. 2015 was brutal
How about 2020 when oil went to 0?
This only worked for TCT because they went in right before when the oil boom hit. It’s pointless now. With shit pay.
Lol 😆 nobody comes in with cash bro in the Oilfield.
Wake up this is an industry to learn and invest ... take note
How to join this company
You can do crude oil after Frac and sand
where could i get a business' plan based on being a truck petroleum transport company
There isn’t a plan out here. It’s who you know. It’s a buddy buddy world out here. I own a transport company in the oil and gas sector.
It’s super hard to find work. Little to no brokers and everyone takes 45-90 days to pay.
Also you can’t just haul sand. You have to get in with the company that supplies the sand.
@@prestigeapex4544 during this time it was all coming from laredo. But then when all the OFES moved to san antonio. Everyone shipped off to midland/odessa.
Tct runs south tx lol we starving in east tx
If price of ther product tanks then it makes sense that all prices in the ecosystem has to drop. They were paying a lot because they were making above normal profits. The question is if they could take $350 when they used to get $1,200 tells you that these truckers were making a killing. Lesson here is good times dont last forever. Its called economic cycles.
It may be good money but don't get into oil trucking. Not seen your family on the holidays really sucks. Oh. And its clean shaven in case there's an emergency at location and they have to put a respirator on you. A beard wouldn't allow a perfect seal.
Oil prices were going down because of us drilling but it crashed when Obama ended irans oil sanctions And I spent that cold winter in cold pa wondering when I’d finally loose my job
man i made more money during obama than i ever did.. 22 years here drilling all over the word. currently drilling consultant
Why videos or cutting short
This dude painting yall a pretty picture… big big lie
Yea Oilfield is Cutthroat its not what you know, but who you know! in other words who you pay off (Company Man)
@@elazteca4 to an extent..
This dude is a fraud
or you’re just not privy to the information
@@elazteca4 that’s every business. I’m a UNION carpenter and the company i work buys off a lot of GC’s with work at their homes, expensive trips etc etc
No GAME given….. 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
The heck is the beard going to do, cause static electricity. Get Stuck in the gears of the transmission
You can tell he’s never worked in oilfield he just got lucky to start another trucking company making deliveries there’s a lot more to completions then just frac sand and chemicals 😂
not really, .. run some guns with wire line, , pump some water and sand.. with big pressure .. and yes they hit it big because he connected.. his just a pre madonna.. been drilling all over the world for 22 year.. deep water rig manger now. land drilling is just cookie cutter wells. .. so glad came to deep water in 2013.. i think it's funny when texas oil field guys talk a big game 😂😂😂😂..
@@TheDriller100 im from laredo. But i have worked offshore operations under transocean/chevron.
When i tried to work on land.... the pay was a fucking joke. On the rig and in the truck.
@@TheDriller100 lmao ohkayy buddy
@@TheDriller100 Wish I could work on the rigs, but previous back injury
Ask better questions. Your title says NOTHING about getting started in the frac industry.
How is a beard unsafe?
Whenever you're dealing with a job that requires you to wear a respirator, you have to be clean shaven (even if a driver isn't directly handling it) Hair creates gaps where fumes and vapors can seap through and possibly kill you. It'd OSHA regulated.
@@biglou859 thank you
Yes ^^ he’s 100% right. You want the respirator to have a completely air tight seal. And a beard can cause gaps in the seal
it's because of H2s gas ....
Lmfao. But when your on pulling units, drillings rigs that release gas you not wearing a respiratory. Shit bs.
I see TCT sand haulers all the time on locations.
This doesn’t not teach a thing about how to get started or into the oil and gas
