GUYS THEY WERE REPEATING THE THREATS ABT SCHOOL SHOTTINGS
The only problem with this PSA is that the actors represents "successful/elite" people.
They only represent self interest. No one mentions fifty plus years of death trap school buses, but they must really care about kids, just not as much as they care about banks, politicians, and their own armed security.
I don’t understand how the point of this PSA is going over everyone’s head. These comedians are not actually joking about school shootings. They are repeating real threats made by school shooters who most likely made these comments masked as jokes but they were real threats as they went on to commit atrocities. And to enlighten others that people threatening to harm themselves or others should not be taken as a joke. SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING. And jokes often have some underlying truth to them. Regardless of the content of the joke.

This is disgusto barf. What a wildly inappropriate PSA concept. Just what we need, for most people it would be hard to discern a PSA from satire from people like this. Are these our role models? These are the people our young mentally ill people are supposed to connect with?

They don't mean it's funny, they did this to demonstrate what people thought and why thats a bad thought. The people who originally made these threats were not kidding, and nobody would make that joke, they would be telling the truth.

You missed the point and didn't do any research. The Sandy Hook Promise is a non-profit organization to spread awareness about school shootings. Sandy Hook was a school shooting where a kid killed 26 people, 20 being children between 6-7 years old. They are repeating threats that kids made before real shootings and everyone thought it was a joke. Be a little more educated next time you wanna be pissy.

I understand that SHP is now wanting signatures for universal background check? Well are they really checking things universally?
Because I think the problem is that just restricting access to firearms isn't going to quell the desire for death and destruction, so are they also going to do a background check to make sure they are going to the Timothy McVeigh way!

None of these "comedians" are/were funny.

Yall are missin the OP point.. theyre saying, that the comedians in this commercial, arent funny when theyre actually doing comedy. But, fr though a few of these "threats", are actually cries for help or for people to be more inclusive of outcast people an shit. Kinda jus an all around, poor taste commercial.
