Throne of Bhaal is a rather boring linear generic affiar.. but it IS REALLY important in conjunction with bg 1 and 2 as it properly finishes the story of the Bhaalspawn (Throne of Bhaal was originally meant to be BG3 but they couldnt get funding to make a full game so instead we got a more diablo'esque game rather than a proper deep rpg)
@@kmortensen9312 So I found it anything but boring. Perhaps in isolation, I would agree with you. But it ties in very well with BG2. Eh. You don't really need a recap with spoilers. BG3 is 100 years after BG2, and it doesn't take player choices into account or anything. @@obi-wan3916 I'm quite sure it is not a sequel at all. Because the Story was finished and all the chapters closed. Ty for the recap. It has been a long, long, loooooong time since I originally played these.
thanks for watching
love this. I don't like spoilers before playing a game, but I like to hear the lore around it for these sorts of games.
Heya, so I am pretty much new to D&D outside of Dragon's Dogma. My roomie and I have been pretty hyped for BG3 though and I'm personally looking forward to using it as my jumping point into the world of D&D proper. Your videos have been invaluable in educating myself and are in general just very enjoyable. Thanks for all your hard work!!!
Thank you for this. I needed an explanation video before bg3 that I can focus on without my ADHD going through the roof and this was perfect.
You know I played and beat both BG1 and BG2 when I was 14 in Boarding School. I remember staying up past curfew to play. I really appreciate the story recap as it was decades ago!
I never played these games and am super excited for bg3, but had no idea on these stories. this is an awesome synapse man cheers!
THIS is exactly what I needed!
Just love hearing you talk about this amazing series
Great job, although I would recommend you to return to BG2 TOB at some point, really almost a game in itself, and the dnd3rd edition highlevel stuff is just epic - but dont feel out of place, as you are literally ascending to godhood! There is this scene where you meet a low lvl adventuring party and.... well its epic, wont spoil it :D
Thanks for short re-cap. Most re-caps were like an hour plus just for one game. I know there are lots of detail but i just wanted a large overview of big key aspects. So thanks for that. Feel caught up and nice to know i don't need to play 1 and 2 to enjoy 3
Love these Wolfe! Love learning the lore of Faerun
thanks!
Appreciate this wolf. As I’ve mentioned before, I’m new to this universe, and have been doing my own research and learning in that regard. But stuff like this is greatly appreciated.
N thx Eltimar gaming for the visuals 👍
So excited for this one!
i really love and miss these type of videos from you
thanks!
Great job! I have watched many of your videos and are my "go to"
I’m reading now the story part of drizzt , my fav on d&d history… i think i can use same as drizzt on that gsme finally.. thank you wolf about this video, as always
Thanks for reuploading, this pure hype for BG3
Hey jarlaxle! Glad to bring it back

this. about to play my first Balders gate. so excited
Did you check Minsc and Boo's Journal of Villainy source book? It contains alot of canon info on key BG characters including Imoen, Inrenicus and the rest. I strongly recommend that you check it out
Thank you for making this video, super helpful!
thanks for watching!
Oh please please please! I was waiting for this! Thank youuu
Well done dude, can’t believe that it was so long!
Thanks!! crazy how time flies
As a new player to the series, this was very much needed. Every part of it was informative and well needed prior going into BG3.
The BG series never actually stood out to me.. I'm coming here now straight from the Dragon Age series. As the new BG game has many familiarities with cutscenes and story telling and now exploration. So thank you deeply for this. It's appreciated :)
Wolf....Excellent! perfection for the just before times before life had BG3 full release....You get +10 Storytelling With Proficiency , Expertise & Advantage!! DM inspiration!!!
Awesome video and so wholesome
Wolf, thanks for the stroll down memory lane!
So this Dark Urge character we can play in BG3, seems a lot like this murder god Baal. Interesting
Omg dude, thank you for this very good content will get me ready for BG3
Cheers
Thank you! This actually made me emotional... I am a very nostalgic person :)
I literally searched through your old videos and watched the old ones yesterday… what the hell, I’ll watch this one again for the algorithm love ❤

Never played the other 2 but I'm downloading BG3 now. Thanks for posting this!
