Hello I have a 16x32 above ground rectangular pool when I drain the pool the the required level the side walls go in. So when I put the cable winch on it only tightens on the sides. What should I do to secure the winter cover property against high winds and winter weather? Thank you.
I have a question. I live in NM where the temps drop for a week and then go back up. If I shut my pool down for the winter and we get a hot spell, like we usually do, should I be worried???
I have a 15x30 above ground pool with a metal walk around deck. Each year I have a problem covering it, I have tried tying down, water bags without tying down. When it's time to open it's a mess any suggestions?
For sand filters, can you remove the bottom drain plug, take the whole valve assembly right off the top and leave it open all winter with the media exposed?
I took the drain plug out... took everything apart and just coveted the sand filter with a heavy duty bag. Had no problems. Just turned the sand. But ill definitely change the sand for next year. The label said it was good for 2 years lol
A proper installed solar system should have a reachable drain line on the side of the house. Removing the plug on that should be sufficient. If it does not, make sure you find a way to drain it or it WILL be a pain to repair

I’m a first time pool owner & this was detailed & helpful. For the record, I watched 5 videos before I found this one & this one was most useful.
Do we have to drain water level for inground pool?
Do I need to add a return plug or is my pcv ball valve ok if I plan to keep the water level up?
I have an in ground pool. Do I have to reduce water level prior to closing and how much do I drain?
So you don't put away a sand filter system? it sits out all winter? How does it not explode from water freezeing?
Hello. I have added the shock to my pool and its clean and drained. Is it OK to add winter algaeside to pool now?? Before cover goes on??

Hi, Nice video. One question. On my above ground pool, should I drop the water level below the skimmer if I have a insert. Thanks.
You never said what to do with the gizmo. I know where it goes, but when and why ?
Thank you good job.
I am having a hell of a time downloading your book, is there a tip to buying it.

Is a cover really needed?
I thought I would see step 1 to lower the water level of the pool below jets
Don’t you have to drain the pool? If so by how much?

I wouldn't.

Do I need to put an antifreeze or no?
Hi there! Check out our video on antifreeze in your pool here: ruclips.net/video/TNnagce1ndk/видео.html
I have an odd shaped pool with a rock wall which makes finding a cover difficult. Any advice? Plan is to winterize but let the pool be exposed.
Don't get a expensive, bizarre shaped pool next time.
3 gallons of liquid chlorine and a cover. See ya. Never had an issue.
All depends on water temp when you do this. At or below 65f you'll be fine but if you do it at 70f or above you'll be uncovering a green pool
So, the gizmos and the rest of the stuff what?
You did not cover putting on the cover.
It’s that time of year again, sad
