This was great. My item box was screaming at me to make stuff. My Mizu Lance was stuck at 9.2 missing many claws, but after watching this, I decided that 9.2 is just fine. Let's make a HBG! Managed to get to 7.1 with the materials I had. (need tails now) I've made Barioth weapons but haven't upgraded them, so I still had lots of mats. Got that to 6.3 only because I ran out of Sharp Claws. So only a temporary pause on that one. Armor-wise, I made all the pieces for both weapons, but don't quite have all the skills just yet. BBlos bow is still in process, so no HBG for me ATM. Again, thank you for helping me free up some item box space with some fun builds. ;)
The best solution to limited storage is to craft fun builds! Getting those mizu plates will probably take a while so using up some of those mats isnt a bad idea! Hope you have fun with these builds man!
Do you think def-loading and guard 5 with a spread ammo hbg (tziti hbg) would be a good build to try?Or do you think guard5 and g8 armor is needed to fully tank? Im tempted to try and make a walking tank hbg build to experiment with.
Interesting, I got my reload from the Legiana Vambraces and then used Kulu hat and pants and ended up getting to crit eye 5. Hoping to get them into Driftsmelt range soon and get a few useful extra skills. Thank you so much for the video!
I'd LOVE to build the Barioth HBG... just farming the parts right now is incredibly difficult. Gotta wait for that winter update and Barioth to come back.
personally i use mizu LBG instead of HBG. got lucky a few days ago due to my mizu helm getting an extra water attack for drifsmelting, so for HBG i would use mizu helm, paolumu chest, jyura gloves, coral pukei waist, and azure rath legs
Do you have a channel dedicated to fgc content? I feel like I ran into a channel that sounded so much like you. Love your content and look forward to more videos!
Hey i wanted to ask a question, now playing around with the heavy bowgun and such i discovered that lumu hat, lumu mail, rathian vambraces, coral pukei pukei coil, and azure rathalos greaves is such a versatile build, i do rn have their grades ranging from 4-6 but this build feels so versatile on any bowgun. And the driftsmelted attack boost helps. Im curious what u may think of it?
@@Jaimie_6564 it depends on the weapon you're using. Check my other video to find out how much recoil down or reload speed you actually need for each ammo type
Thanks for making this despite the discord trolls. You're 100% right, I don't care about theory or this or that... I use pierce I win. It's that simple. Peirce is insane, I don't care what the number crunches behind the computer want to say. Get out and use it, pierce is un real.
im currently using the bone hbg while im still upgrading my neros blazooka. is a build around special boost/focus with bone viable? or should i stay in burst/pierce category
My problem with pierce is that it's really only viable in multiplayer. And in multiplayer you inevitably end up kiting the monster away from the melee dps making them have to roll around Timbuktu. Hunts tend to go more smoothly when everyone is close range.
Sadly, that is what happens everytime there is a ranged weapon user in the team. Ive very good results playing pierce solo. Its about dodging backwards most of the time to keep distance from the monster
its a shame that barioth HBG has long range and close range ammo types, as it looks so cool and has that sweet affinity. if only it was spread and wyvern like zino, then it would be perfect. i am very slowly working on the kushala one (its at 7.5) but i need to start making the armor first. mizu HBG si so satisfying to use, solo or group i am shredding monsters with it. just need more plates to G10 it
the long reloading without proper armour is so annoying to play with that i stopped using HBG. it looks so fun when it works out but the reality for me was very frustrating.
@@PauwerPlays well I just want to know which armor set is good to prior at early, while building your end game armor set along the way. It’s kinda hard for newbies like me which armor set to build at first, since there’s too many options. An armor set for melee weapons would be cool, if you can also do for range, it’ll be great. I’ve seen some early builds on other channels, but I wanna see yours since you’re one of the best mhnow cc rn. Thank you! Happy hunting🙏🏻
im new to the game, I dont understand why you try get affinity up on a black diablo weapon, why not try get dmg boost elsewhere like sneak attack, burst, special skill boost etc
We do have burst in the build with the head piece and the arms but there is no chest piece that has burst. So instead, i chose to lower the negative affinity of the black diablos hbg. Affinity in monster hunter games is the weapon's crit chance. If you have positive affinity, your weapon has a chance to land a critical strike dealing 25% more damage. If your weapon has a negative affinity, it has the chance to deal 25% less damage. So, in a way, by negating the negative affinity, we buff its damage and make it more consistent. Hope this helps!
@@PauwerPlays ah okay i did not know it had chance for 25% less dmg, that explains it thx, i was more thinking of it no point invest if not get plus on it anyway ^^
I actually don't think that pierce is the easiest to use, especially in solo play. In very close range it has a damage penality and with how clunky the movement is with HBG, against some monsters it can be difficult to actually stay far enough away to be in optimal range. Against some monsters, pierce is also shit. That is especially those where it's hard to line up your shots with the monsters body and thus only doing low dmg. Imo, sticky and slicing are the easiest to use. Both are a sticky bullet that, after a short time, does something (either explode or do a few slicing hits). They don't really have an optimal range, as long as you can just stick them to the monster. It will also always do full damage. Especially sticky will always do its 130% dmg and can be boosted additionally by artillery. So you don't even have to care about hitting weakspots. In group hunts, if you can position yourself properly, pierce will absolutely wreck monsters, especially the big, long monsters. So for those it's really the perfect ammo.
I think it's all about positioning with pierce. Dodging attacks backwards really helps put you in critical distance. For sticky and slicing, they have high recoils so it's harder to manage. Sticky you have to be target the head to get real value out of it while pierce, you just shoot and see the numbers fly. But at the end of the day, it's all about preference :)
