    Putting up those lights isn’t a bad idea, but be respectful to your next door neighbors and put a timer on them to go off at bed time, say 10pm. My new neighbor put those up, leaves them on 24/7. I had to install heavy drapes since my bedroom window faces my neighbors yard with those bright clear lights, they have a very harsh light, that floods my bedroom making it very hard to sleep. Also, I use to love doing star gazing in my patio. Can’t do that anymore. There goes my $1K investment in a telescope out the window. I knew I should had bought that property when it was up for sale. 😢

    Highly recommend drilling a pin hole in the bottom of the light bulbs. It’s inevitable that rain water will collect in the bulbs themselves. This allows that water to drip out and keep the bulbs dry prolonging the life of the lights.

    Love the lighting idea. With Monsoon season they look like it would hold up.
    Ok for most Storms. 😄👍🏼

    I bet magnets would be a great alternative to velcro. And definitely trim that excess.

      I like the idea of magnets and definitely weight it at the bottom so it will go back in place.

      I bought an as seen on tv screen that fastens with velcro but has magnets down the center to reduce bugs when my sliding glass door is open. I'm renting so I can't damage the property by nailing or tacking a screen to the metal door frame but the velcro can be removed without permanently damaging.

    Make a screen for the top of the pit . The screen will stop embers from flying around and prevent a potential fire.

    Place some small tiles in the bottom of the screen to add weight. This can be done by making a hem in the bottom of the screen.

    ??? Did you put drainage holes so the water will drain out so the stick pole will not rot ???

    • @lindabrown9542
      @lindabrown9542 29 дней назад

      Why it would rot if only use water to mix cement and then he added rocks! What stupid question

      @@lindabrown9542the person is implying if it rained, the water would be on top of the concrete which would be direct on the wood. Eventually causing water logged wood and rot unless there's a way for water to escape. I am unsure if that's a stupid question or if you misunderstood

    Why not just bolt the post for the lights directly to the fence posts? Seems like a ton of unnecessary work when you have a post already in the ground..

    For a flyckreen, it's cheaper to buy one. And more convenient for long-term use and quality. Yours will not survive one day.

    I like the lights but I would not have the fire pit. Someone can fall into the fire and die from burns and there is a huge liability for being sued. We all know people congregate to the fire pits and drink alcohol plus smoke from the fire make clothing stink.
