“Am I glad he’s frozen in there and that we’re out here and that he’s the sheriff and that we’re frozen out here and that we’re in there and I just remembered we’re out here what I wanna know is where’s the Caveman?” Shaggy (for some reason)
The wind was howling as Shaggy and Fred trudged through a sea of fresh snow, and they needed to squint carefully through the blizzard to make out the looming wall of ice in the near distance. When Shaggy spotted it, he hesitated and was tempted to turn back, but Fred's stoic presence beside him, coupled with the memories of everything they'd been through to make it to this point, reassured him enough to get his tired feet moving again. Their quarry was located within that icy prison, possibly still alive, and this terrified Shaggy much more than the thought of freezing to death. Even so, the blizzard was already taking its toll on their bodies, and they struggled to make it the last hundred meters to the wall. For a moment, they just stood and gazed at the snow-covered ice, hindered in their search by the cold that had long since seeped into their bones, and by the trepidation regarding what they might find within the frigid prison before them. Shaggy found the energy to reach forward and wipe away a little circle of snow from the wall of ice, and, after a moment of hesitation, to lean in close and peer into the ice. Thick as it was, Shaggy couldn't make out anything beyond a sea of blue which gradually receded into the darkness of what might be a cave, and Shaggy sincerely hoped they wouldn't have to chip all the way through with their rudimentary tools and tired arms. But as fate would have it, they didn't need to search long for the one they came for. As Fred began digging in his pack for the tools, Shaggy moved along the wall, and after less than a minute of walking, he came upon the man encased in the ice. He didn't need to say anything. Fred could read his expression, even from that distance, and hurried over and stood silently beside him. Frozen no more than a meter into the wall of ice was the man they had traveled so far to see. He was naked from the waist up and held a massive club in his hand. His expression was unreadable, seeming to be at once both calm and animated, both kind and severe. Shaggy was filled with a new breed of fear he had never known before. "Boy, am I ever glad that he's frozen in there," Shaggy said to Fred. Fred nodded in agreement, but it was the Caveman who responded: "Am I really frozen in here?" he asked, his voice like the distant rumble of an avalanche. Shaggy was shocked that the Caveman was alive and was able to speak, encased within the ice as he was, but Shaggy managed to respond. "Yes, you really are frozen in there, unless my senses deceive me." The Caveman's voice came forth again: "It is interesting that you wonder whether your senses deceive you. From your perspective, I indeed likely appear to be frozen in this wall of ice, and yet I am speaking to you as if I were out there with you. You can hear my voice and understand what I am saying, so in this sense, am I not there with you?" Shaggy thought for a moment, not quite understanding what he had heard, but became determined to press forward. "Well then, allow me to correct myself. Am I ever glad that we're out here." But the Caveman's next rebuttal was just as swift and heavy: "But are you really out there? You have perceived that I am within the ice, and yet you can hear my words and understand them. Are you certain that you are not in here with me?" The fear within Shaggy was growing, and he felt himself beginning to quiver. "What's going on?" asked Fred. "Who are you talking to? Is this the man we've come to find? Is he the sheriff?" Shaggy kept his gaze trained on the Caveman. "Yes," he said. "He's the sheriff." The Caveman's voice again came forth: "You seem certain that I am the sheriff, but what does it mean to be a sheriff? What qualities amongst our collective understanding of sheriff-ness are on display that you can really quantify and be assured are real? How can you be certain that the qualities that I display really mesh with the true meaning of being or becoming a sheriff, and how can you reconcile your own limited understanding of sheriff-ness with the true meaning of the word as it might be defined in our situation? I'm trying to teach you something here. I hope you can understand." Now the fear that had been rising within Shaggy was turning into something like panic. His trembling increased, and he wrapped his arms around himself to keep them from flailing about. He had trouble formulating his sentences, and they came out gradually in a string of murmured syllables: "Well, maybe the situation is similar to how I said you're frozen in there and we're out here. I can tell that you're frozen in there because my eyes can see that you're behind the layer of ice in front of me, and I can feel the ice in front of me with my hands. Additionally, your voice sounds slightly muffled and seems to be coming from far away. All of this tells me you're frozen in there. But we're frozen out here too, in the sense that we're trapped here until this blizzard subsides. We can feel the wind lashing at us and the cold eating away at our strength. We are separate from you in the sense that we're experiencing two different types of frozen-ness." The Caveman's expression still did not change, but his voice seemed to take on a slightly amused tone. "You make a good point about being divided between two different experiences, but our frozen-ness does not really separate us like you claim." Shaggy looked up at the Caveman's face, searching for any sign of movement or change in his expression, but the Caveman's face remained the same as ever. "Then, what does separate us?" he asked. There was an awful moment of silence as he waited for the response he expected was coming. He was terrified of it, but knew was probably inevitable. The Caveman's voice again swirled up: "Is there anything that really separates us? I think not." Shaggy felt a massive rippling tremor pass through his whole body. "But then, that must mean that we're in there. How can this be? Are you trying to deceive me?" The Caveman responded: "I do not deceive you. Do not worry. Be rational. Think of the beauty that exists in unity. All that separates exists within our minds, and by letting go of the mental picture and embracing the real picture, you will see that there is no distinction between you and me, between frozen and not-frozen, between out there and in here. Look, and see the truth." Shaggy screwed up his face and covered it with his hands. What the Caveman was saying was beyond Shaggy's ability to comprehend, but he felt himself being drawn into it like a fish drawn toward a light in the sea, unsure of whether it is the sun or the ploy of a bigger fish. And yet, he needed to know the truth. He would not back away from it. "So what you're saying, if I understand correctly, is that we're in there." The Caveman's voice softened a little on hearing this. "You're beginning to believe," he said. Shaggy then turned to Fred, who had been watching him with a strange look on his face. "Shaggy, what's going on?" he asked. "Something strange is happening, and I don't know how to describe it." Turning away from the wall and toward his friend somehow instilled a fresh sense of agency within Shaggy, and he felt that his head may be clear after all. "Don't worry. I just remembered that we're out here. I've been speaking with the Caveman, and he's convinced me that I need to re-examine my notions of the relationships between space and people, and my notions of our interaction with it. Space is not a thing itself but a relationship among things. However, I'm slightly less convinced with his argument that we're experiencing the same type of frozen-ness as him, and I'm grateful that you've shaken me back into some semblance of perceiving us as being out here and him as being in there." Fred, quite obviously perplexed by Shaggy's words, looked behind Shaggy at the wall and said: "What I want to know is who you've been talking to this entire time?" Shaggy, confused, turned back to the wall of ice to gesture at the caveman who had quite obviously been there just a moment ago, but was shocked to see that the Caveman had disappeared, having left no imprint behind in the ice in the spot where he had been. It was as if he had never been there at all. "What I want to know," said Shaggy, "is where's the Caveman?" He turned back to Fred, who was now smiling at Shaggy with a strange look on his face; vaguely reminiscent of the Caveman's expression. Now Shaggy really started to feel panicked. The terror originally brought on by the Caveman's words, which had begun to subside, rose back up with renewed vigor, and he feared that the Caveman may have been right after all. Right about everything. He was out here and they were in there, just as they were out here and he was in there. The cold had, by this time, sapped nearly all of his energy, and there was nothing he could do as Fred took a step toward him and opened his mouth, the voice of the Caveman coming forth from within: "Battle not with the ice, lest you become the ice, and if you gaze into the Caveman, the Caveman gazes also into you."
The use of Shaggy and Fred as the characters in this piece of writing is a great way to throw a little humor on, kind of like a spice on a good meal. Though personally I don’t think that we are all one in mentality as this writing suggests it’s still an interesting modern connotation that doesn’t fail in the effort to make one think, at the very least, about the mentioned notion. But I commend you in your clear and profound ability to use the words of this language to purvey a good read, whether one is to agree or disagree with this work. Thank you for being a productive indulgence of my time.

We can determine where the caveman is by subtracting where he isn't from where he could be.
The caveman was inside of us all along
The true caveman was the friends we made along the way
The funniest part of this is the look of just utter contempt he gives the blunt.
