I am so glad that I found you. Your videos are awesome. I am a 58 year old black woman and as it happens, I am your skin twin.( we come in all colors). Because I have oily skin, I use your foundation recommendations and you are amazing. I love your reviews 🤗
I second this, most people’s face complexion does not match their arm or hand perfectly and you don’t get a sense of how the shades look with facial features, hair color etc. this was so helpful!
Hi Stephanie! My goodness, all those lid swatches so you could show us how the eyeshadows really looked! You really took a big one for the team! Thank you so much for keeping them in the video, it's extremely helpful to see how they actually look on the eyelid. Great video!!!!
The Laura Mercier caviar stick in Amethyst is my favorite one and done shadow. It’s so pretty and creates a gradient that looks like you’re wearing more than one shadow. I really do love it a lot.
The revlon creme shadows are amazing! (And I usually don’t buy drug store eye shadow). They last, you can build them up, or mix them. Cognac is my favorite. Walmart has some of them, but the revlon site has like 17 colors! 😍
Yessss I’ve been loving this tag. Realistically, I just swipe one of these shades across my lid and maybe blend with a slightly darker shade or just a clean brush. I love doing more complex and smokey looks for special occasions. But for daily work wear, easy taupes are my fave.
L'oreal Paris' Infallible 24hr shadows in Bronzed Taupe, Amber Rush, and Gleaming Bronze are great, too! (All of the colors work great for one and done) Also, the Revelon Colorstay cream shadows, specifically the shade Caramel. Maybelline's Color Tattoo gel cream shadows are good, too, but I am not a fan of the consistency.
I actually just did a search for one and done shadows last week! I think simple looks are more flattering as I’m getting a bit older. Great suggestions! 💜
My favorite single shadow look is Dusty Rose by Maybeline. Recommended by Jessica Braun, it is a beautiful pinky gold. Not too metallic or shimmery. Stephanie, you are so fierce for doing all those swatchs on your lids. 💜
I am a huuuuge fan of Colourpop’s SuperShock formula for one-and-done looks. My favorite, hands down, is Wattles. It is a sheer blush/pink with a satin finish.
@@StephanieMarie so sad! They don’t keep everything in stock at all times because of quick turnaround. I wonder if they just aren’t on the website or if they are limited edition?
Yassss! 🙌 I was going to recommend the wet n wild nutty as my favorite one and done, if you hadn't here! It's such an underrated shade. The quality is INSANE. the first time I used it I fell in love with the complexity and texture of the shade.
My faves are the Revlon little cream eyeshadow pots. I have a deep purple, a champagne, a rose gold, and a bronze color. I apply with my finger, then just use a bronzer to blend in my crease and done. So pretty.
I just love the HUDABEAUTY Lilac Pastels palette. Its a small 9 eyeshadow palette with excellent one and done metallic eyeshadows and matts too. I love it!
While you were applying your Tarteist colors, I was coincidentally putting on my amethyst shade. That was really cool. Tarte has some great and unique colors.
I have actually had good luck with one shadow in my old Clinique eyeshadow quad. It's so old I dont even want to think about it but it still performs well! Loved this video so much!
This is such a great video! It really inspired me to go through my stash and pull out some of my faves I haven’t worn in a while. I had 7 Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks I had completely forgotten about!
The kiko long lasting stick shadow in 38 golden taupe is my one and done. Such a good formula very minimal to no creasing at the end of the day on my hooded greasy eyelids. I use it with mac paint pot as a primer.
Wow, thank you for this video, it's really helpful for me! I love cream eye shadows, especially when I'm late for work! And I think I'm gonna copy your method of application because I like the way you blend them... 😘👍🏻
Hi Stephanie I love love love you have done this video and yes so glad you kept the eyelid swatches it's so helpful. It would be nice to see an upgrade of this video into two and done using the one and done singles picks as a base. I could create my own travel kit from it so that I don't have to pack my pallettes.
I have a beauty room with way too much makeup, but I keep a shelf in the bathroom pantry for those days when 20 minute makeup is it. These recommendations will be ideal, and I trust you. And since you have my exact skin tone,if they are flattering on you, they will look good on me. Thanks. Great video
Laura Mercier’s caviar sticks are awesome! My favorite cream shadow is the Oyster Pearl by CT. It’s beautiful and easy to apply! Thanks for sharing all these wonderful shades! I’m a “one and done” kind of girl too! ❤️
My favorite type of eyeshadow looks. I like the Bobbi Brown powder shadows in the metallic shades and the cream shadow sticks. I am going to try some of the ones you had in this video too. Love your channel!
My favorite one and done these days is my No7 bronzer. Lol... I’m really simplifying things these days. Also thank you for the Sydney Grace shout out. I’ve never tried their cream formula but I have several of their singles and they’re amazing... a great idea for one and done looks, IMO because you could just look at their selection online and pick what you want without getting a bunch of other shades you may or may not use, like what happens with a palette sometimes. Also I love my Beauty Pie shadow sticks. I’ve never used the Laura Mercier shadow sticks because this cheap, basic b couldn’t bring herself to spend the money, but a lot of people say the BP shadow sticks are a dupe for the LM ones.
Love the one and done! I love Nude Smoke in Armani shadows...it’s great as a shadow on its own or as a shadow base. Laura mercier caviar stick in matte Au Natural is perfection for a no makeup look TF cream eyeshadow in platinum...downside it’s so expensive, but if I only could have one eyeshadow...it would be this.
The brown/taupe duochrome shades remind me of the Urban Decay Lounge, which is unfortunately discontinued, but many of us still have it. I bought Cold Copper on your recommendation, and it doesn't disappoint. Just ordered the ND Glam palette, can't wait to try it. I let my grey hair grow out, so now the cool toned eyeshadows are my jam!
Love love love this video Stephanie!! Funny I just got some of the Covergirl Lid Paint yesterday! I adore one and done because I always seem to be running late even if I’m up early 😂😂😳😳. Plus my channel will gear to people with chronic pain as well as general population over 50. Some chronic pain sufferers will prefer one and done. Sometimes my one is a shade of blush or bronzer mixed with my highlighter. Also have the Becca light gleam a Nudestix as well as the 2 larger pallets you mentioned. I now know what I’ll be using my Sephora holiday pass for! Can’t thank you enough for this one and kisses to Luke 😘😘😘
One and done shadows are my favorite! Maybelline Tattoo Studio in Socialite or Inked in Pink are positively gorgeous. Being a drugstore girl, I am tempted by the high end products you showed, but my budget won't allow. I do wish drugstore brands would carry more good one and done offerings. I have found some beautiful high-end "one and done" creamy, in the tube shadows on the Costco website, however, where the price is more within my reach. That's where I found Julep "Eyeshadow 101" in "taupe shimmer" and "stone", positively beautiful.
@@StephanieMarie The Revlon cream shadows look intriguing to me. I have heard they dupe the Charlotte Tilbury. They were totally sold out at my Ulta yesterday so I am anxious to try them.
Wow!!! Thanks for sharing so many one & dones. I'm sure you've done videos over the years as tutorials for some of the shadows. I would love to see some tutorials using the cooler shades... especially what you use as crease color & brow highlight. Thank you, Stephanie!
Great collection of shades. Loved this. Gave me some new ideas. I love Sydney Grace shadows!!!! I have the persona palette. Zoeva has some amazing shadows for sure. Also nabla has some super stunning shades. ❣️
Amazing video! The Tom ford cream eyeshadow in platinum is a fantastic one&done eyeshadow, elf mint melt stick eyeshadow in melt with me (coffee color), RMS swift TT76 is a powder-cream eyeshadow amazing texture and color brown with dimension, also has another colors in the collection in orange copper undertone.
I’m always looking for one and done shadows. This was very helpful. I love the LM caviar sticks and my favorite is the Armani. I also like the Wet n Wild Liquid Catsuit creme eyeshadows. They don’t crease on my lids and they go on smoothly.
Thanks for all the lid and hand swatches- so helpful as it is best to see the dimension on the eyes. Your's is the best video I have seen on this topic. My favourite is CT jean / champagne as it is more of a champagne with a gold tone rather than silver but softer than gold & more natural.
You’ve done me a huge favour. A few months ago, I splashed out on all the Scattered Light shadows, but they were relegated to the bottom drawer or gifting products. When I saw them originally, they all looked a bit too similar for my liking. As I watched your video, I dug out both Reflect and Smoke. Guess what, they’re gorgeous! Thanks so much Stephanie Marie❣️😘 xxx
Thanks for all the work you put into this video. I’m really into toned down metallic shades these days and this gives me a lot of options to try out. 👍🏼👌🏼💜
I just had to let you know after I watched this video I bought the Armani Eye Tint in Cold Copper and wow! I have blue eyes and mature skin and there's no creasing or emphasizing my over 50 skin! And the color really made my blue eyes pop!
Newly interested in quick cream eyeshadows and I'm so glad I stumbled upon your video it was really helpful. Love all your recommendations and the eye swatches. It would have been great if you did a side by side swatch since many colours seem similar, but it looks like it's time for me to head down to sephora and start swatching for myself :)
I love Nutty for a one and done but I also use Brule (with the accent over the e! LOL) to blend Nutty or any other shade out at the crease. I use it to set my eye base. Its just another great shade to have around even if you can't really tell I'm wearing it!
Thank you for your recommendations! I always carry Laura Mercier caviar sticks with me. I also absolutely love Tarte Chrome Pots. They give a very pretty shimmery look without fallout and stay on all day. Really easy to apply with a finger.
I ADORE NudeStix. 🤩Twilight is PERFECT for my dark hair & green eyes behind glasses🤩 Cant get them where I live now, so I make do with what I can find... but nothing is quite so good. Scarab looks like an OG MAC powder Clubbing, that is now in their new pot Spring formulations
Why do I get a feeling that every variation of taupe is your favorite?🤔😂 Love all of them and now the hard part is choosing which one to get! I liked Houdini so much that I bought it right away lol.Btw, I own a MAC pigment color powder in the shade Green Brown and it is a duo chrome very reminiscent of the ones you showed. I like Colourpop super shock shadows for one and done looks.😉👌😊👍 Thank you for fantastic video, very helpful ❤️😍😘
I'm absolutely loving the Natasha Denona Glam palette! I hadn't thought about it in terms of one-and-done, so you've just expanded my horizons exponentially! Thank you! Regarding the palette, I've heard and read a lot of comments here and there about how people resent the shade names being directions on where to apply it. I didn't much care for it either, because I didn't like having four shades named "center lid" or a non-universal shade named "transition." So I depotted all of the pans, took a black Sharpie to the palette and erased all the shade names, and put the pans back into the palette in a manner that suited how I tend to use them. Problem solved! Thanks for such consistent, great content Stephanie, it's definitely appreciated by your YT fam! 😘
I love all these one and done shadows!! I just purchased the Armani Rose Gold shadow. Can’t wait to get it!!Also love your channel, I’m a new subscriber.
My favorite 😻 ‘one and dones’ are Caviar Sticks in Intense Amethyst and Cobblestone,Bobbi Brown Shadow Sticks in Dusty Mauve, Lancôme Shadow Sticks in Brun Captivant, Rocker from the Tartelette In Bloom palette.
I’m a sucker for a one and done eyeshadow looks. As a new mom i live for this looks. My favorites are Maybelline Bad to the bronze or renamed to High Roller. I freaked out when i couldn’t find one but according to my research they just renamed it. Next favorite is Loreal bronzed taupe absolutely gorgeous and doesn’t break the bank for sure. I do have CT oyster pearl and Hourglass ray but i tend to use my drugstore cheap ones ☺️ I did recently purchase the Natasha Denona glam palette and the Persona identity palette so im excited you mentioned it. So glad im not the only one who laves taupes/bronzy shadows. Looks really nice with my medium/tan skin tone. Great video!
This was a marvelous idea! I have oily eyelids so finding cream shadows are difficult. But also, you have brought to life the idea of using powder shadows as a one and done and I’ve never considered that until now. Thank you! 5/5 stars!
I am so happy you did this type of video ! I love wet n wilds nutty and another one was ultras shadow sticks in taupe around the world. It reminds me of the Laura Mercie eyeshadow sticks.
Lancome has a shadow stick called Erika F that’s like Persona Bombshell. The Elf Quad Truffles has a dirty metsl that is somewhat similar to the other two-less green though. My current one&dones ARE cream shades. The Lancome stick in Brun Captivant is a GO TO., but id like a softer formula.
I am so glad that I found you. Your videos are awesome. I am a 58 year old black woman and as it happens, I am your skin twin.( we come in all colors). Because I have oily skin, I use your foundation recommendations and you are amazing. I love your reviews 🤗

Mac Satin Taupe, Revlon cream shadows in Praline or Espresso
This was a marvelous idea! I have oily eyelids so finding cream shadows are difficult. But also, you have brought to life the idea of using powder shadows as a one and done and I’ve never considered that until now. Thank you! 5/5 stars!
Glad it was helpful!💓
I am so happy you did this type of video ! I love wet n wilds nutty and another one was ultras shadow sticks in taupe around the world. It reminds me of the Laura Mercie eyeshadow sticks.
Lancome has a shadow stick called Erika F that’s like Persona Bombshell. The Elf Quad Truffles has a dirty metsl that is somewhat similar to the other two-less green though. My current one&dones ARE cream shades. The Lancome stick in Brun Captivant is a GO TO., but id like a softer formula.
