@@koranflashy1 I was just wondering the same thing. If you can reverse a fumble cause forward progress was stopped before the fumble then you would be able to reverse about 50 percent of fumbles.
Taylor proved that he's the QB today. Terry when he's on is a top 10 WR. The defense still has issues, so much talent but so little to show. Its time to start looking at Jack Del Rio. But I'm happy with this game and how Taylor led the team

Taylor Heinicke did good today. That's two comeback wins for him this season.
He got extremely lucky. I mean, he got a TD off a prayer that probably should have been an INT.
@@christopheraaron8299 all QBs “get lucky”. That accounts on average for about 3-5% of a win at best - he played well, despite some inaccuracies. His running and a few pretty good throws did enough to help the team win.

Also on that scramble pass to McLaurin that was a touchdown. Defender was literally holding McLaurin in the back of the endzone and the ref didn't call anything, if he wasn't so dang good that play would've been a bust

I'm not a Washington fan but that 'roughing the passer' flag was a terrible call!
And the forward momentum stopped bs that robbed a fumble. Happened twice on Sunday with the other one in the Cowboys game. Unless you blow the whistle, they must not use the forward momentum bs to justify a down where no down contact was made to rob a turnover.

You haven't played us in a while. If you had you'd know that you need to bury this team. Let them hang around and they have enough ballers on offense to steal it. Heinicke in particular. The less time there is left and the more stress there is, the better he looks. No idea why, but it's a thing. Garbage in practice, average early in games, clutch in the fourth.

@Dats a paddlin totally agree with you if Hopkins had to be the deciding factor in Washington outcome they probably would have lost. I think it’s time for Washington to get a new kicker wether it’s in the upcoming draft or someone who’s already in the league. I’m also surprised Washington has kept Hopkins for this long i thought they would’ve gotten a better kicker by now even if there wasn’t one. Anyone is better than Hopkins in my opinion.

The Falcons were given this game by the refs and still lost. That was a fumble recovery for Cole Holcomb, and that absolutely stupid roughing the passer call on Young gave them a td. These refs are so garbage!

I know you saw Terry push off on his second TD(replay the clip). I know you saw Terry fumble after catching and making a football move but it was called incomplete.

The strip by holcomb called off because of the stopping of forward progress or whatever is bullshit. Washington would have blown them out without all the bogus penalties and calls.

Sure he made some dangerous throws but he had a whole lot of great plays as well. That throw to Terry was a beauty and notice how he tucks and runs now and not runs while holding the ball in his hands. Hes learned from those fumbles earlier in the season. Yeah it was the Falcons but he should be commended while the others should take note of his will to win.

Washington deserved that win simply because of that absolute dog shot roughing the passer call called on them for a hit a full second before the ball was thrown.
Another great game from McKissic. I wasn't completely sold on him last season, but so far this year he's been superb.
He had like 80 catches last year. What exactly more did you need to see? We haven't had a back with that many catches since Larry Centers caught 90 or so with Norv Turner. He's as exciting to watch as Chris Thompson, but can stay healthy for 16 games.

That Chase Young penalty is absolutely one of the worst calls I've ever seen.
He could've killed Ryan with a hit. Because of ridiculous roughing calls he gently touches him. Ryan goes down to one knee, THEY DON'T CALL HIM DOWN and then STILL give Young a roughing penalty. Unbelievable.
I feel sorry for Ryan, he has such fantastic throws, but such an unstable and generally weak team to work with.

It’s was 4th down so an incompletion or sack gives WFT the ball where the Falcons were or where Ryan went down, but an INT downfield (unless it was returned) would’ve gave WFT a longer field.

Good game! I completely understand why regular season winning streaks against a non-divisional opponent are so important to a fan of a team that’s never sniffed a Lombardi. Maybe 1 day falcons fans!

It was, but it has been in just about every game I’ve watched this season. Never seen it this bad in my life (and I’m old! Hahaha) NFL has lost several experienced refs over the past couple of seasons and it shows. Not to say those refs were great, but this crop is terrible. It also seems that “stopped by forward progress” is the go to when they miss fumbles. Just what are the extra 👀 upstairs for? SMH…

Washington’s defense played terrible this game. Like absolutely dogshit, you honestly have to look at the coaching at this point. Offense played really good honestly, with what they had, Thomas went out early, Curtis barely played but had some impact. Also the officiating was terrible. It was Washington vs Atlanta + refs. That roughing the passer call made my stomach sick and I’m not even a fan of either team. Atlanta’s offense looked pretty good, that one WR/RB hybrid (Patterson?) looked great. Sloppy game and terrible officiating.

As a Washington fan I can remember 2 occurrences where we stripped the ball for a fumble before any whistle was blown and they called them back because the forward progress was stopped. Terrible officiating no matter what team it is.

I must say, not a bad game by Atlanta, just need to play less consertavely and finish games out strongly, Arthur smith can win the falcons some games, but they must bring a better pass rush. The ref calls were also horrible

I was there, officiating beyond horrible. On the matt ryan 4th down play, i was trying to figure out if they were trying to mark him as sacked or an int. Instead? Falcons 1 and 10? Wtf? Everyone in the stands was confused, both teams fans.

@@dirk_diggler46558 by my logic, you can’t get the QB in the head…end of story. Sacks happen all the time and the QB doesn’t get hit the head. It’s really quite simple, and every defender knows the rule so there’s not really an excuse.

Whaaaat?......The Falcons are playing better every game?.......The defense gave the Washington QB enough time to throw air balls all day and the tackling was pitiful. The special teams allowed a 101 yard TD on a kickoff without touching the runner. The offense had the worst play calling and Matt Ryan just about runs out the clock by running instead of passing.

People have said that about the Falcons since the early 90's. Bad coach after bad coach since Dan Reeves. Good coaching and good adjustments help you win close games.
