Thanks ladies. I started smiling 1 second in, and haven't stopped smiling until the end of the video. How could people leave negative comments on such positive videos?

I'm struggling at the moment. I live with my parents, but they are homophobic so my real family is my chosen family who I obviously can't see right now. We talk/message as much as we can, but it's still hard. I'm a key worker, so I'm still getting out of the house in the week, but weekends are always really suffocating right now. This video is the best thing that's happened for my mental health all day. Just the perfect mix of scenery, casual daily life and important conversations. Thank you x

Take care girls, you are passing these strange "sit this one out" times. Talk, message, chat and communicate with family and loved ones.
Yes these times are changing life, I have moved my office, like a lot of others, to our dining room, working remotely and count my lucky stars that I can do this setup. Too many, just cannot.
    Keep safe.

You asked for it, so here's our isolation update from Germany: As a couple with preconditions, we stayed at home obiently and missed the first birthday of our one grandchild. Now the rules have been relaxed and we made up for it, enjoying a beautiful coffee and cake afternoon in the sun with the young family. Of course we mostly talked about his progress - securely walking now and climbing chairs! - but also about the situation and such. Good to hear that my son's job in landscaping has continued unimpressed while she has a boom in her homegrown sewing business - people order more than before.
On the 40 km drive to and fro, it sometimes seemed surreal to be on the road again "like in the olde days" after just six weeks...
It's good to see the light at the far end - we wish you well!

Thank you for another video tonic. Cats and ducklings are always well received.
I hadn't realised how fortunate I am to be a key worker, working as normal, through lockdown. Hearing Michael talk, I feel for the guy, I knew I was fortunate but not the amount.
    Stay safe and well 🤗💖

Thank you all, good to hear from Jo and Michael. I love my own company, using the time to do family and local history research, photography, walking and training our young pups. To loose the stress of main stream life and pressure has been wonderful for my mental health. Slowing down can be hard I understand that, once you get through that, the reward is amazing. Take care all of you.

K, A-M, *thank-you* for both daring to mention mental health *and* for providing a slice of calm for us all to share with you both.
If you need a listening ear, consider calling the Samaritans (call free
24/7 in UK) on 116 123, don't struggle on your own.
If you have your own 'support network', then talk with them!
This won't last forever, let's come through this with some help from our friends. 😊

Thank you ladies for the video. We live in Middle Tennessee. We are still under quarantine, but the grocery stores will only allow so many people to shop at the same time. Most of the churches here have their worship services either online, on Facebook or weather permitting, the ministers delivers sermons outside and the patrons sit in their cars and worship with him. Some churches do have services but are encouraged to sit 6 feet apart. Our son who lives with us works for Home Depot and they are essential, so he has not lost any work time. My husband and I are 71 and 73 so we don't venture out much because of the virus. We use our time by him rebuilding our front porch railing and I enjoy reading and I am a caricature wood carver. So we usually stay busy with something.

It's lovely to see you two happy and coping with the current situation. 16 years ago, we retired to a very small village in Northern France. Living in a rural community means that we keep stocked up anyway, and shop only once every three weeks or so. Our current lockdown project is converting an old VW van into a camper, luckily we bought most of the materials before this crisis. Apart from that, my other half, Alex, is busy with the garden. Not having green fingers, I'm cracking on with the sequel to my debut novel that I published last year. For us, lockdown isn't a problem, but we do appreciate that some less fortunate people are suffering. I do hope you are able to continue your lovely narrowboat travels soon. xx

Thanks for another nice video girls. My wife is high risk, so we’re pretty thoroughly isolated - I make one trip out per week for all our errands, and have an extensive sanitation routine when I return home...so far so good. We’re staying busy with little upgrade projects on the boat. So far, we have installed a new AIS system, a new backup camera system, and at long last wired the VHF to the chartplotter to enable automatic distress calling (should have been done long ago). This week we took down the antenna masts, applied 2 coats of epoxy, and 2 coats of Imron. When replacement antenna stanchions arrive (I ordered the wrong ones first time), we’ll reinstall the masts, pull new coax cable, and install new antennas for the VHF and AIS. Marinas are starting to open back up, so hopefully we’ll get to put our upgrades to use soon. Looking forward to your next water point cruise. Stay safe.

Thanks for the update. I went into lockdown one day before the first official lockdown of any type in the US. Thankful I am able to work from home and for the most part doing fine. My complaints are small compared to other's situations. But knowing I am sharing the same prediciment as wonderful people half way around the world makes me feel a greater sense of belonging to my fellow Earthlings. That we are all sharing this same event all over the world and one day soon we will all emerge together from the same exile with a smile on our face, a tear of joy in our eye, and an bursting excitement in our heart to greet each other once again like we have since the dawn of time. Stay safe stay happy. Love from Northern California

I just wrote to Minimal List to find out how they were doing because they have a long lag in their videos. I am glad you made this Vlog, so pertinent to what I wanted to know. We have to cope with extraordinary circumstances not faced for a hundred years. That being said we in Israel are very good at social distancing. I just talked with a good friend who we happened upon in our favorite grocery store. He and his wife have dozens of grandchildren and seven sons and daughters. For them is it heart wrenching they can't hug their grandchildren nor see them face to face because they are over sixty and the Government wants distance between children and anyone over sixty. We touched elbows where as before we would hug. All in all I am so glad I have fur babies to ease the lack of contact socially. I believe animals help us cope and provide comfort to lonely souls. I also try not to get close to people who dislike animals. When I was dating I would ask if the other person liked animals. If they answered no then that was a great indication that I would not be dating her. I really don't trust people who are not comfortable with animals. I can see if they have allergies but a lot of people just hate cats dogs and other pets. Not my kind of people. It is easy, very easy to socially distance myself from those people. In the small village I live in everyone feeds the cat population and they almost all own dogs also. It is why I live here instead of a big city, much better for me mental health wise. Keep up the great Vlogs, you always surprise me somehow.

Thanks for bringing Minimal List in to your vlog today. And also thanks for reminding us to self-care in these times. The old expression was 'for the duration' which even cropped up in advertising "She has a box of Dairy Milk? Impossible, Cadbury's is not producing Dairy Milk for the duration..." We're the folks who got through SARS, Swine Flu, H1N1, H1N2, Ebola, Zika and the horror that was 9/11. We're tougher than we give ourselves credit for, so 'for the duration' Stay Safe!

The nice thing about being retired is that I didn’t have to change a thing for staying at home. Even nicer is that Narrowboat Experience releases videos more often. Today, for example, was one of those good days when I found a Narrowboat Experience video waiting for me. But instead of a world of the same 400 metres radius every day you have such gorgeous and interesting surroundings. It’s amazing how quickly little ducklings become adolescent ducks, and then adults. All in the span of a few weeks. We’re still under official lockdown here in California, but our foot hill to mountain county has a population of less than 200,000, hence a lower Coronavirus rate than large, densely populated areas like Los Angeles. Ann and I began voluntary self-quarantine before it was mandated, due to our ages putting at high risk.
We wish you well, and ❤️ your adorable cats.

Wow! What a cliffhanger - you are going cruising in the next vlog!!!
OK, just for water, but cruising is cruising. 😊
But I like your everyday life. Your points on the current situation - and the surprise of having a cam session with Minimal List (Nice to see them in an updated situation, as their own vlogs always are out of sync with my calendar 😜)
Keep them coming - you are just GOOOOD 👍
Love from Denmark (Our lockdown was eased a little bit today - but borders still closed)

Wonderful video Ladies, being an avid watcher of your vlogs and those of Michael and Jo (Hi George). I'm struck by the the fact your situations are so similar yet different. As you all pointed out during your link up, lock-down affects people in different ways and there is no one answer to it. Today being VE Day shows us that we as a people have overcome world affecting situations in the past and there is no reason we can't overcome this present situation. Think positive and battle through, (Just look back at how many "Keep Clam and ....T'shirts" Michael has to see the sort of attitude I mean) 👍 Today we have the advantage of technology as you clearly demonstrated that helps us keep in touch with friends and family. I'll be outside the house tonight with the neighbours I hope at 9pm blasting out Dame Vera Lynn's *We'll meet again* In tribute to those who served. It's allowed exercise, the BBC said 😉 Keep safe all of you and here's to better times. 👌

Thank you for your continual sharing. Although I am retired and at home anyway, the restrictions do increase my isolation. As a result, keeping in contact with you (and other Narrowboaters) just expands my extended family. I am so glad that you two are doing well. I must admit that it is hard to believe that the new normal is likely permanent, at least until (or if) a vaccine is developed. It looks like our narrowboat trip for this fall is going to be cancelled. Better luck next year. Take care.🙂

Good to see you guys keeping in contact and helping each other out in this difficult time, really don’t understand why you can’t cruise. It’s probably easier to keep away from people moving on the canal than it is tied to the bank. You do have a lovely spot though 😄 Michael and Jo seemed to cheer up while talking to you so well done ladies 👍

Yes, we are happy with our spot. We try not to think of the negatives about it. That's why we go out at night to enjoy it without the tow path traffic.

I've been watching quite a few of your videos over the last couple of weeks. I enjoy them alot. I normally watch too much TV during this last few months but in the evenings after supper I find watching your active cruising videos quite relaxing and an escape from the hustle and bustle of reg TV shows. So I hope you are keeping well and thank you for sharing your experiences.

Thanks for the update ladies, good to hear how you are coping. Looks like you have found an excellent spot. Thanks also for contacting Mike & Jo it was good to hear from them too, I'll contact them direct. Looking forward to seeing your going to get water cruise. Any chance of a technical update on how your solar panel is keeping up with demand? All the best, stay safe and sane. Terry

Thanks for a very honest look at how it is. I think many of us have experienced some anxiety one way or another. Meanwhile here in BC there are plans to phase in re-opening stores and relaxing the rules. For us there will be no change. We are still in our 70's and we still have medical conditions....so no hugging any free wandering folks...just too dangerous. This right now, for the moment, is our new normal. Hugs to you and the purry ones.

Don't be downhearted my lovies, you narrowboat owners are isolated in the beautiful countryside with loads of interesting wildlife to watch. To us who are stuck in our homes you are in the best situations. Today is the Victory in Europe 75th day of remembrance. Let's all be glad that we are alive to celebrate the occasion. God bless and best wishes to you all. 🐞🦆🦆🦆🐈😘.

This is so good for me! I am single and a workaholic, have to be a busy person. But everyone 60 and over in our meatpacking plant was mandated out of the plant for what might be 2 weeks. We have medical checks starting next week and should, if we pass, get back to work. Our plant has had to slow down production when they had to 'vacation' all of us over 60 and knowing they need me but I can't be there, doing my job has added to my unhappy with the current president and his administration here in the USA.

Great video ladies we've been just chugging along to a winding hole and back every now and then ( no locks involved) . Sometimes you just have to do what's best for your own mental health. Hope you are keeping your spirits up and really feel for micheal and jo it really is a mental health issue.

Hi Thanks for shareing, we are in the country close to small city, so we able to get out for a walks every day, thing's are starting to open up again, but it will be a new normal, with social disdanceing . We also watch Michael and Joe and Geroge they are great people.

I don't normally comment on your videos, but since you said that reading them is the the highlight of your day, so here I am. As for me, my mental health is just fine but I am looking forward to getting back to our new normal (whatever that will be). My church has not been able to have services for a month. but we do have sermons online and then some of us have a Zoom meeting to talk about the sermon and see what going on with each other. Interestingly, I know that for many people, they have used this lock down time to catch up on their spring cleaning (some have even said that their homes have never been so clean and they are now sick of cleaning). However, for me, I am the world's worst procrastinator and so I have intended to clean every day -- but never seem to get around to it... Oh LOOK! The narrowboat experience just posted a new video!! -Phil K. in Indy USA
