you have no idea what youre talking about, the J-10A is super competitive in BVR because of the insane radar gimbal limit; and the PL-12 is not "mid", just because it's marginally worse than the AIM-120 in drag doesn't make it bad, it still beats most other ARH AAMs, in fact it has larger deltaV than the AMRAAM
it doesn't have the most countermeasures but it's single pop, combine notching and occasional chaff, it's more than sufficient

I honestly don't know what you're saying. I'm enjoying this thing immensely. The PL-12s aren't phenomenal, but they're good enough to get the job done. If you can't make this plane work in ARB, it's a skill issue. :/

Some of the points you've raised are not valid.
The PL-12 are arguably the second best ARH missile in the game right now, second to the AMRAAM.
You said that it lacks BVR and the "mission spam" needed to perform well in top tier. This is false, you get access to 6 competitive ARH missiles and two PLE5IIs. And if you ask me if I've tried it myself, yes, I have.

honestly skill issue bruh pl 12 is good far better then other fox 3 like r 77 and the lack of countermeasures is useable if you know what your doing.

Idk what u are on. The radar has 85 degree gimbal making u be able zo literally notch most of the enemys if u engage some1 more to the right and the pl12 is the best fox 3 in terms of bvr after the aim 120. (Irl the pl 12 also had variable thrust giving it 120c performance which isnt modeled in game due to balancing reasons.) Considering the 72 CM are single pop if u run 1-2 flare chaff u are perfectly fine. Inall of my matches spading it i only ran out of CM once which was me clutching a 1v4.
Its lacking the speed tho compared to the 15 and 16 considering it top out at 1.4 if u turn at alt.
Imo its the most fun jet at top tier (have US, Germany, China and france rank8)

It’s indeed a good plane even in ARB context, 72 large caliber CM is enough and you have good missiles + great flight performance and radar.
F15 will be better in arb but j10 is competitive

It's a good aircraft... On paper, in actual practice it's outdone by many.

PL12 should have the same or better range of the aim120a/b if gaijin doesn't buff the aim120a/b by reducing their air drag, making them have even smaller air drag than aim120c in data

Gaijin also increased J-10A's air drag after entering 1 mach. As you can see in game how slow it accelerate after it goes beyond 1 mach. Making the J-10A not able to get more energy in BVR.
