Mark Hamill is at it again. Throwing jabs at hollywood, Bashing the last jedi, and the way they have portrayed Luke Skywalker, for another full year. The idea that Mark Hamill hates the last jedi continues to grow, largely because of the actions of Hamill himself, who continues to "ruin" interviews by inserting random and often awkward lines about his views on what was done to his beloved character, Luke skywalker, how he doesnt like last jedi and his indifference toward episode 9. Star wars interviews, red carpet premieres and the like, are where Mark hamill has chosen to let loose these misgivings.
I for one think it is beyond clear that Hamill disagrees with many of Rian johnsons decisions regarding Luke, doesn't like the new films, and may even share his disappointment with the father of the franchise George Lucas in private. Maybe we'll get answers to this in future 2019 nterviews with Lucas Hamill himself (probably not though). This video is the last i will make on the subject since....if 120+ clips don't convince you, nothing can. I gathered 70 more (most new, some i missed from last time) and it's only 70 because i stopped searching. There's still more (God knows how much). Either way there's a lot of funny moments and jokes in the video. Enjoy : )
What do you think though, does Mark Hamill hate Last jedi and the new star wars? .....Or do you think i'm crazy? Let me know below.

Man, that was depressing listening to Mark talk about how there was the great opportunity for the 3 of them (Mark, Carrie, Harrison) to work together one last time, and they were robbed of that due to bad writing/directing/producing. So much missed opportunity due to big egos and dumb ppl.
Exactly. Nothing more to add. What a missed opportunity, it could have been the movie of the century, but we got The Last Jedi.
Imagine being 66 and dragging your ass around the world to promote this Disney turd...and remaining sane.
It feels as if they hired people who absolutely hated Star Wars to write and produce a Star Wars movie.

Yes. Biggest mistake of the sequel trilogy. Not getting the band back together. Unforgivable!
This isn’t right. They should’ve listened to Mark. He experienced it from the beginning. If anyone’s opinions matter it’s Marks.
Mark, George Lucas, and a few EU writers- and I get the feeling they didn't listen to any of them, for episode 7 or 8.
The reason he got ignored so much is the writer's egos and the fact that to them he isn't a person to be listened to. The actors are tools. Daisy riddley is the strong independent female, John boyega is the black guy and kelly marie tran is the Asian. Their all there to empower sjws no matter how they ruin the story

Even the stupid Okuyasu noticed!!
Mark hamill sort of saved Luke. He still exists. He’s correctly pointing out: this isn’t him. The beauty of Jedi was their hopefulness: remember that whatever happens
Socra Tease - What a great comment. It is atrocious what these fools have done with one of the most loved characters in fictional media. Their sabotage of him, like they want to fuck with us deliberatly was painful to witness. But as you so well said Mark Hamil actually being honest to the point of legal liability about the films for what they are, being so faithful to the true Luke after all this time instead of stone facedly being the prop they tried to devolve him into...It really does make Luke Skywalker and what he represents more real. Hamill really cares and has integrity.
It was so sad to hear Mark saying playing Luke in the sequels was like having to learn a new character

That fucking laugh.
Star Wars 100% absolutely died in the Last Jedi.
@@BlackHatCinephile I was pretty numb to it after TFA, it might as well have died then. Looking back, that was the second-to-last death knell before TLJ. First was selling to Disney and the death of the EU.
@@michaelrodriguez470 I was 13 in the cinema in 1977, and I'd waited all my life for that movie. I completely got the movie, its message, its importance. Ruin Johnson was a toddler who only wanted a toy x-wing. And there's nothing wrong with that. I got some model kits, even one of c-3po. But I knew there was more to Star Wars than just that. Johnson admits to not taking the story seriously. He's a bad, sloppy writer who doesn't even care about the story. If Disney purposely wanted to destroy Star Wars, they found the right guy to do it. Abrams is at least better than Johnson, but that's only because it's not possible to be worse. There should've been a Ben Skywalker. There always has to be a young Skywalker in the saga films. That's kind of the thread that ties them together. The offshoots don't need a Skywalker at all, but it's a basic requirement for the Skywalker Saga. That's the ball Abrams dropped.
@@BlackHatCinephile That and not bringing the band back together, but really that was already decided by Kennedy before JJ was brought on, so I wouldn't blame it all on him.

Hey, don't taint Salacious Crumb's legacy!!
He had a whole couple great scenes in Clone Wars and was treated better than poor Mark did!!
Well, that’s a little mean. He just did what he thought was needed for his film and had no malicious intent towards anyone. He’s obviously not immune to criticism, but this is less directed at the film and more towards relishing in his own distress.
Rian is such a douchebag, it’s insane
@@theofficalchairmanrevoluti614 man, you haven’t done your research on this one. Rian’s cold little heart is filled with nothing but contempt for Star Wars, and everything he did to shit all over it in TLJ was 100% intentional. You don’t get it *that* wrong by accident, TLJ is the anti-Star Wars in every way.
@@Brikkyy13 I don’t think much people go into a film actively trying to make it bad. To one person certain choices in a franchise are the worst thing imaginable, and to another it’s great. TLJ’s a very divisive film because it doesn’t play it safe at all. Art is subjective and people should learn to respect each other’s opinions.
But clearly he had a lot of passion for the film. Effort was obviously put in making the film look as good as it does. And to judge a man’s merits and who he is personally based on his creative choices with a Star Wars film is ridiculous.
I'm not a fan of Rian Johnson's professional work, but I'm also not a fan of just watching him talk and be himself; the dude's annoying. I don't know him personally, so he may or may not be this way, but he gives off a smarmy, smug demeanor that's off-putting.
Oh, and The Last Jedi was a shit-filled diaper lit afire and jettisoned into traffic.
Vellichor Carrie Fisher always seemed like a professional but even she said he was an asshole.
From the documentary and from what I saw in the film, he's a great set-designer and has a good feel for cinematography, and that's it. He was no where near ready to direct a film the scope of Star Wars because he's apparently never failed before, and that failure is what makes directors or anyone for that matter great at something. Sadly, he's so much of an asshole, that he doesn't see this as a failure, despite the fact it is, and not just as a SW movie, but as a film in general.
I would gladly beat the shit out've Johnson for free!
He's the guy that directed "ozymandias " breaking bad greatest episode . It's too bad he missed the mark with star war wars ( no pun intended)

The other of course was THE leia scene. not going to spell it out so maybe I can save someone who hasn't seen the movie the agony of enduring THAT scene. Don't watch the movie. Go read legends. That's the only Star Wars that matters.
Hamill was a man, almost 70, and he went against his big corporation overlords, in spite of everything.
He handled this situation like a Jedi.
I like the feeling that theres someone so directly involved with star wars who is siding with the fandom against the films he acted in. He knows how much his character means to star wars fans and seems genuinely angry at disney for defacing the character of Luke and all the other OG star wars characters.
He had nothing to lose. He said himself, "what are they going to do? Fire me?"
Voice can deceive, but bodylanguage and face always speak the truth...
Ironic, considering they're actors.
Stephen O'Brien “ironic”
You can tell from some of what hamill says that he creates a canon in his head to feel what is going on and convey what’s expected when it doesn’t make sense. But there’s no canon you can make for yourself to justify this movie as a legitimate creative effort, let alone a proficient entry in the star wars series.
Theres a serious tension between Rian and Mark. I wonder what it must’ve been like on set... they’ve cleeearly had some serious arguments. Im so happy Mark stood up for his character and he stated it publicly and its been documented... now everyone will know that Mark Hamill himself had nothing to do with the stupidity of the horror that is the sequel trilogy.
It's hard to tell- it's entirely possible that he has nothing against Rian personally, just disagreed with his approach to the character
@@joshbaker1581the way he acts in public interviews is definitely very reserved and he does look pissed and say some scathing shit, so I imagine he wasn’t as reserved on set lol
I am glad that Mark spoke the truth about his feelings for his character Luke because the fandom needs to know why. This being his last movie, he had nothing to lose by revealing his feelings. Thank you Mark for your honesty. You will always be remembered as the Hero Luke SkyWalker in George Lucas's dream.
As a second-generation original Starwars fan, I second this.

“Episode 9 the last paycheck” Mark Hamill is awesome.
The Last Jedi: Forget the past. Kill it, if you have to.
Rise of Skywalker: MEMBER LANDO? MEMBER PALPATINE??
Also... JESUS that is a sad sentiment at 18:00. Han and Luke never had a scene together after episode 6 and now they never will again. Harrison Ford seems done with acting, and TLJ seems to have broken Mark so they’ll probably never work together again. Same goes for Luke and Leia, plus Carrie is actually dead. Mark Hamill. You are a legend. I'm so sorry about the way Last Jedi turned out for you. I heeded your warning and didn't see the movie. You're just as much of a fan of Star Wars as all of us.
I want to say this would be sad for Mark, like the sadness we feel when finishing a long book series with characters we love. Only this is at least 100 times worse because they're not even finishing THAT story, the characters are being killed off after their personalities are being rewritten, wadded up, and tossed in the trash...

It’s a crime how Disney forced Mark to walk back his comment about disagreeing fundamentally with the director.
Sequel shills latch on to that one tweet as if hours of Mark speaking like this video don’t exist.
"Was there any criticism that you think is now kinda fair?" "Nope. Not really." Seriously?? You have no regrets about ANYTHING you did in the movie?? You can like something you wrote and still regret parts of it, Rian!
They couldn't have gotten a worse Star Wars writer/director if they had searched that out as the criteria. I think maybe that might've been the case. Disney searching for the perfect ruiner of Star Wars, bam, they hit the jackpot.
Tbf, all of Rian Johnson's other films are good. Knives Out just came out and everyone loves it. The problem is that they got a director who is know for doing whatever he wants and let him do whatever he wanted, throwing everything J.J had set up out of the window and forcing him to scramble to pick up the threads in ROS (which, admittedly, he did so admirably).
Jimmy De'Souza That's what happens when your main antagonist gets killed halfway into the second film without any backstory and your other antagonists are reduced to snivelling idiots.
...That said, he still could have done it better.
The human character who is famous for having a speech about knowing how to survive death and who’s cloning project is one of the famous parts of the EU? Nope, no way he can come back.
While I agree that the sequel trilogy struggles with nostalgia focus, if TLJ had been a decent film we would probably have had Snoke as an interesting antagonist and removed Palpatine altogether, among other things that could have been set up for the finale. The amount of difference TLJ could have made to ROS if it stayed to the script can’t be understated.
A speech he quotes to Kylo, implying Darth Plaguies methods did save him from death.
I agree that your method would probably be better. I don't think ROS has an amazing plot, but it absolutely could have been worse. It was an admirable attempt, not an amazing one.
I meant following the plot threads from TFA. Where did you hear about TLJ being written firsr? That's incredibly poor planning on Disney's part if so.
Regardless, I agree we've both been reduced to screeching, so I'm done here. Been nice to talk to you.
disney is a new EA. everything they touch with their corporate hands, dies in agony
They brought him back only to get rid of him.
They destroyed Luke's essence and personality, but I love how Mark Hamill just makes him look good in front of the cameras and still give his opinions about the sequels, he's a true Jedi, and no, not the Disney version of Jedi
Poor guy. Thing is though, Mark Hamill will be loved by moviegoers for all time and Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy, reviled.
12:57 Oooooh... So that’s where Jar Jar Abrams comes from! Hamill is the best
Vajayjay Abrams
True. But it’s also an insult to Jar Jar. And Jar Har was better developed than most of the sequels characters. And that’s saying.
Rian got in due to his Hollywood privilege and not his talent. They wronged Mr. Hamill so bad
Disney and rian johnson have completely ruined my childhood and spit on the things i loved growing up
Jar-Jar Abrams helped.
I dont follow the logic of a movie or movies being able to negate your childhood. Good or bad star wars movies you will always have your memories of that time and nothing can take that away. I just pretend the things I didnt like in star wars didnt happen. For me it's the original trilogy. Didnt like the prequels. I enjoyed The Forcr Awakens but Last Jedi was a hot mess of a sequel and it doesnt feel like the middle part of a 3 act play like it should. That's my opinion though. I think it's great that some people live the prequels and the new films. It's all about perspective. If it brings you joy then great. If not just ignore it. If your childhood is ruined because your heroes didnt end up where you thought they should then simply rewrite it in your head as to what became of them later. Sorry for the lengthy reply and I hope you know I mean no disrespect. One or two or 5 bad movies cant take away the past and what that story meant for you. It's still there. It just means for you it ended back in 1983, or 2005. Didnt want to assume which trilogy you grew up in. All that being said I have wondered the same thing a couple of times until I really thought about why i felt that way.

The alien milking was Disney telling the audience "F*** YOUR HERO. He's useless"
The greatest mistake in Hollywood history was having the one chance to reunite Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford & Carrie Fisher in at the very least ONE SCENE in a new trilogy, so that all 3 of them are onscreen together at the same time and the world can see old Luke, Leia, and Han reunited, hugging, fighting alongside each other again, doing ANYTHING … and totally wasting that chance to the point where such a scene with the 3 of them together, the very reason everyone paid a total of $2 billion to see The Force Awakens, never even happened.
Now Carrie Fisher is gone, and that opportunity will never come again.

Hamill's defiant honesty is an inspiration.
Mark Hammill is the biggest Star Wars fan. Everything he said was true. I think, had the ideas he mentioned been done in the films, they would have been much more well recieved. Him catching the lightsaber in the forest, him saving Leia and getting to see the two of them witness Han's death, or getting the three of them to reunite would've been such an improvement. There would've been more emotional gravity in the films and both he and Rey's character arcs would have been vastly improved, too. I don't think we'd be talking about Rey being a Mary Sue. By the way, he could definitely be a stand-up comedian. His mannerisms and delivery are great. Overall, he's just such a great guy and I feel bad that he had to go through physical and emotional hell with this trilogy.
Why couldn’t we have just had Luke, Han, Leia, Chewie, and Lando together for one last time?
I think it is safe to say that we are spoiled now of days, For there are very few actors like Mark Hamill who are as passionate and genuine about their career that they are willing to go against everything for the love of the character he portrays and for those who love these characters for all these years. only to of course watch as this man and his character be rolled over by a mediocre writer at best, who knows nothing and doesn't care about this world he has been given... it hurts.
"If you strike me down in anger, I will become more possible than you can possibly imagine." - Mark Hamill when reading his death in the script.
Wow, this is a tragedy. I’m a lifelong fan (since ‘77), & this is heartbreaking to watch. Mark _is_ Luke. After ROTJ, he looked forward to new professional endeavors, but he forever remained a wonderful ambassador to the films, the story, the characters, & the fans. He understood the place of it all in modern culture & the importance of the characters to so many people-their childhoods, their lives, their dreams. When the conversations of sequels got serious after the sale, I’m sure he looked forward to sharing that magic again with the world (and acting alongside Carrie & Harrison again... and the money didn’t hurt).
While I enjoyed some parts of the sequels, overall the storyline & character arcs were a mess & so disjointed from the original spirit of Star Wars. Thank goodness for the Mandalorian. Chapter 16: The Rescue was the epitome of a new hope, literally... hopefully not too late, & hopefully they don’t oversaturate it all with the plethora of new series coming out. For a brief moment, it seems, there is hope.
Thanks for this compilation. It really hits the topic home.
5:35 encapsulated the whole thing. Look at the man baby rian reaction. You can tell he was bullied in school.
Ya he projects man babyism because well he is a man baby
I hope to God he was.
his bulllies probably liked star wars and he wanted to his _rEvEnGe_
I'm so glad he got a chance to see his character the way he should be in the mandalorian.
Did he though?
@@moldorm30 yeah, Hamill even tweeted about it ;)
I mean, he played him in the Mandalorian. All Luke's mimic was done by Mark and then got CGI'ed to make him looks younger.
14:01 the saddest thing I think I have ever heard him say. Apart from never getting to work with Harrison and Carrie again.
The saddest part is that as he said not only is it totally impossible to re-write the movies since Carrie Fisher passed away, he saw the franchise he loved being torn apart in front of his eyes.
I remember when they were doing all the press and promotion for TLJ and they kept saying how much of a big Star Wars fan Rian is/was. I'm now thinking one of two things. That was either a lie, and an attempt to make fans go easy on him because they knew the movie would be shit, OR Johnson truly was/is a fan but Kennedy made him write a shit movie because showing Rey as strong and powerful was more important than respecting established characters. And the thing is, I could forgive it if it was just a shit story. Not all fans are good writers. But it almost seems like effort was made to destroy Luke's character and act like his relationship with and duty to his sister and friends meant nothing to him.
Thought i was the only one who thought that. If you look up videos of him telling the story of when he first saw SW, it rings false to me. I always thought he/they were lying...
@@redboy5341 Incredibly sad that the studio would prefer to bullshit us than to just release a decent movie. Like, it's Star Wars, dude. People would have been happy with a mid movie and not complained much.
It is a shame to see many people disregarding Mark's words and making him out like he has problems with the newer Star Wars movie and that he had no right to have a say in how they played out. Flipping idiots!
3:43 that hurts me. It was suppose the continue of return of the Jedi. And was suppose to be great not another unknown super god Jedi who don't needs a teach and can master everything in seconds.
I simply refuse to accept the disney experience as canon.
That really openend my eyes, i saw both movies and my bf saw me watch this video and i said: 'man, hamill is so sad omg' and my bf said: 'i told you it's a bad movie' and i said: 'no, i mean, it wasnt that bad, it wasn't good, but i didn't really expected anything, i'd still watch the movies... bc i enjoyed them... wait i didn't but... its like bad fanfiction made into a movie.' And that's when i realized thats acctually what i love a lot. I love reading bad fan fiction, so why not watch it... this franchise is doomed
does your boyfriend know you're posting all this on the internet?
@@BlackMasterRoshi lol
This is so unbelievable watching mark Hamill act that scene with r2d2 collapsing and still collapsed as rhian johnson patted him I'm so heart broken omg seriously I feel so heart broken.
Hearing Iger say that this is Marks best performance of Luke is rude punch to the gut
He's so confident, sure and calm when he talks bad about RJ decision about Luke in TLJ, but when he says he shouldn't have said stuff like that you see he isn't looking directly at the person, and he is really awkward, and make this huge pauses.
And if you watch him in any interview, he's sure, and direct, so you know that's Mark Hamill talking the truth, and the other one is him trying to be nice, because Disney told him to.
33:51 Part of me wants to believe that Mark is as pissed off as I am with that cackling lady
3:21 they had time for me to milk that big alien, but to show any human emotion, no we don’t have time for that 😂
"Forget the past, kill it if you have to"
*proceeds to just copy/paste everything from the OT for their "new" movies*
rewatching this it's funny to see John Boyega be the only one to agree with Mark on that talk show clip as I feel he really should have been the main character, like he was the character that really was the focus of the first film and honestly I did like his performance etc. he really got screwed over by essentially not even being relevent by the second one, he seemed to understand what a starwars movie is the most out of the new cast
He is an absolute legend for saying "Jar Jar Abrahams" which was coined by the fandom menace. 12:59
If we’re so disappointed in how the series has continued, yeah I cannot imagine how people like George, Mark, etc. feel about this franchise that they put so much time into. It’s sad.
Mark Hamill IS Luke Skywalker! No one knows his character better than him. Next to him only George knows his character so well. it is so heartbreaking what they did to him,
I love how you can see Harrison Ford laughing at his joke at 4:15
"I regret saying it, let me tell you why"
*proceeds to saying it AGAIN*
ha ha ha! He called him Jar Jar Abrams lol
i dint noticed can you put a timestamp?
[Whita Cat] 12:56
What Ryan Johnson really wrote was: "It's time for this franchise to end."
