and a lot of the bad performance can only be prevented by voicing problems with black movies, who seem to be racist......like the simple reality, that i wouldnt watch a whole movie by afroamerican with thick dialects as an european with or without english background and no social contact to afroamericans with this dialect in my whole live. its like listening to K-pop for the first time........and that for 120 min,.......just to understand the story. try to create empathy with the story on this level of communication problems.

It's so grounding to hear that Lucas wants the first line if his obituary to state that he was a good father. Culture would often say otherwise, but children are blessings and he can see that clearly. I love that he makes that his priority.
Now it makes sense. Lucas was an indie film maker with a vision. Disney is very clearly a sausage factory that _grows strong brands and expands creative content to further their growth strategy and create opportunity for the company to drive long term shareholder value._

@@vgrepairs Violence ≠ good storytelling, and the prequels are notorious for their shit storytelling. The violence even gets in the way of everything as well actually. For example, the Jedi aren’t afraid to kill and decapitate their foes, but when Anakin does it it’s portrayed as taboo, which makes no sense and has no impact. There wasn’t any blood in the prequels either btw, PG-13 restricts the amount of blood you’re allowed to show.

Let's just say the whole story can be a parable of my last relationship, lasted a lot, felt like the best thing in the world, you got betrayed and things felt apart really fast, you had to quit it with a lot of hesitation and finally you moved on, first worrying if she'll ever do fine, then realising you just don't even care anymore.

George has vision and wants to make films to satisfy his visions for the films he’s going to make. Hollywood just wants to put out stuff that will make money, regardless if the films make sense or are any good. The Disney Star Wars films are corporate fiction and didn’t have an actual vision for their trilogy once they tossed out George Lucas’s treatments.

For your information, Chinese theaters and viewers isolated The Last Jedi because there was a Vietnam actress in it. One thing I just realized that he doesn't get credit for and has even been the subject of ridicule is his claim that red tails was the first all black movie. I always thought he was exaggerating but after looking into it, he wasn't kidding or referring to the actors only. the director and writers were all black too. I think a lot of Star Wars fans are confused by George. They love what he created, but I think he makes it abundantly clear that he wants to make the films he wants to make. He doesn’t give a shit what the fans think. In that way, he’s more like Rian Johnson than people will ever admit. The only difference is that George knows Star Wars and what it’s about and it’s what fans have come to love. George can make bad Star Wars movies, but all of the fans will see it and respect it because at least it IS Star Wars. Rian didn’t care about Star Wars, he wanted to do his own thing. He needs to be doing his own projects, not someone else’s. In the same way, I would imagine George would completely F up a series like Game of Thrones if he were given the reigns, because again, he wants to do his own thing.
And George actually listens to the fans (he removed Jar Jar after ep1), and doesn't insult them on Twitter. He even made Clone Wars series for fans and they love it.

red tails did lose money.. it actually flopped at the box office.. and that means the studios were right.. it didnt make any money... on wiki it says it was a budget of 58 million and it made 50.4 million.. sounds like a flop to me

He doesn't seem happy. I think he failed to realize the responsibility he had to the cultural good he had created before it was too late. In a time when heroes, role models and the distinction between good and evil are more important than ever, Disney subverted and destroyed what could have been a powerful and hopeful continuation of a great story. Though flawed, the prequels are still in the spirit of the original trilogy, Rogue One also fit this mold. The latest trilogy should come with the disclaimer "vaguely influenced by the Star Wars universe."
Imagine a world in which Lucas never sold LucasFilms &c. and instead built something similar to the Tolkien Estate.
