Travel vlog 569 | Singapore to Chiang Mai, Thailand | Country #82/100
This episode is Part 2 of our really long travel day from Canada to Thailand. We spent the day reminiscing our first year of travel when we came to Singapore for the first time! We rented e-scooters which was the perfect way to see the city in a short amount of time! We ate at hawkers, watched the sunset at the harbor, and of course had a photoshoot at the iconic Marina Bay Sans :) And the rest of the episode is basically us being walking zombies as we travel to Chiang Mai! Thankfully, there were airport lounges involved ;)

Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married June 2013 and quickly caught the travel bug! We started “travel hacking” & finally decided we wanted to travel for one year. After 2 years of saving $ and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016. Another fun video and a great live meeting. Thanks as usual. I think one of the main attractions for me is watching your interaction. I see the love, and also I especially like when sometimes things go south and you guys just deal with it. Because when I travel I manage to always have an adventure. I bought the happy tourist sim in Bangkok last year and had problems so I just hit the customer service number link and it was in Europe....I blew thru my entire talk portion in 1.5 minutes, I had to track down a DTAC booth at 1am to reload......

I have lived in Thailand for years(recently in Chiang Mai). NEVER FLY Lion Air(questionable maintenance and pilot training). I usually go through Singapore when I cross the Pacific. Most of the time I fly Silk Air and then Singapore Airlines. It is better to connect in Suvarnabhumi then Don Muenster in BKK.
Always love the "bloopers" at the end, you guys are hilarious. I only stayed in Chiang Mai for a week or so, but I loved the place. It's a big city, but way more relaxed than Bangkok, more laid back.
Loved the over lay of airplane safety instructions with music! Sounded super cool !
