Crazy to see one of my favorite creators post a vid on one of my favorite games just a few days after I picked it back up. That bit about over a thousand hours not being close to enough couldnt be more true. Ive got easily over 200 hours rocket jumping and have never cleared a tier 4 map. Been part of a number of movement game speedrun communities, but rocket jumping remains my favorite movement system in any game.
I think I've got around like 1800 hours but idk if i can bring myself to play tf2 again. It's been like 2-3 years since I actually played tf2 or any actual fps so idk if I would even enjoy it. Demo is pretty cool tho. Also, Nice.
I've stopped playing for months or even a year or so before, but whenever I come back I find that I'm able to get right back to having fun like I never left. Corny as it sounds, it's like a good friend in that regard
The only game where I could have sinked in around 3 _thousand_ hours of my life playing it and still enjoy every second of it. Gameplay's solid and varied. Art style beats out any other realistic or trend chasing modern game to this day. It doesn't force you to care about winning and throws you in with 23 other players into a single clusterfuck of a match where you can blow each other into gibs on the dedicated "kill each other here" point which is the objective or have a dance party in the intel room on 2fort. Oh yeah and the community, mostly great people, as always with multiplayer games there's gonna be some assholes, but most people you meet are pretty damn welcoming as long as what you're doing isn't Cheese Pizza kind of fucked up or bot hosting / cheating. Most of my friends on Steam are pretty much from meeting them on random servers, both official Valve servers as well as community ones. Oh right how could I forget the community made content. I fully believe that any modern publisher seeing the amount of custom content TF2 community can make from maps to huds, to wepaon skins, to player skins, to hat model swaps to whole damn *gamemodes* (all while ignoring that Valve gave community SFM, what they used for making animations) all while providing all the tools necessary for the community *for free* their heads would explode from confusion on why Valve isn't shoving all of it behind a paywall and tightly keeping everything to how they like it instead of allowing community to fuck around with their game however they want. I doubt any modern game publisherw ould ever dare to think about giving their dev tools and animation tools out for free to people let alone let these tools be used to make content in the game that anyone can use and play on custom servers.
oh hey, saw you do a video on Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance a while back and now you'll exploring more video games you enjoy? Very neat dude. I may not be interested in many shooters, but you often present ways that is both digestible and funny so I'll definitely still stay tuned in c: also, side note as I just begun watching it yesterday and was already very impressed by all I've seen thus far, have you ever watched/read March Comes in Like a Lion? It's one of those stories that shares the common aspect of being a story about life that is rich with symbolism and details that made me grow to love Clannad, so I'm curious if you know of it
Glad to hear it! I promise I won't just be focusing on shooters lol. Also, I've heard a lot of great things about march comes in like a lion, but I haven't pulled the trigger for the longest time because my brother saw it and wasn't a fan. I know I'll get to it eventually
@@Totaraum understandable lol, and no worries, I might still check Team Fortress 2 out eventually and yeah fair enough, though I think stories like Clannad and March Comes in Like a Lion differs more from other series in how realistic it is, which I think is one people into clannad often appreciates. Tried playing TF2 a while back but couldn't really get into it. I think I'm just not a fan of close quarters FPS games since it's the same with CSGO. I prefer games more in the style of battlefield with larger maps and more players per game.
I hear that. Speaking of which I've been meaning to check out battlebit remastered. Also, more tf2 related, they allowed 100 player matches in the recent update and the community has been trying to get that to work without destroying the servers lol. It's been pretty incredible to watch unfold
