      nah, titan dived to the MIDNIGHT zone, which ends at 4000 meters, this sub dives to the twilight zone, which is much shallower, from 200 to 1000 meters. much safer, and professionally built.

      @@LimitedHandles you gotta understand, submersibles and submarines are built to be practical with the space, theres not much luxurious ones, atleast for exploring, but there submersibles are incredibly useful for science, imagine what kind of fossils they could find in the mariana trench, maybe the mariana trench was a mountain before, or what kind of chemicals unknown to men they could find..

    • @LimitedHandles
      @LimitedHandles Год назад

      @@Redrustic101 Absolutely , I get it. I am interested in the science and discovery but, also like to increase my chances of not being compressed or drowning in some sort implosion or malfunction. Extremely cool though!

      @MundaneThingsBackwards Год назад +3

      @@LimitedHandles There has been one manned submersible in history that has imploded, Stockton's Titan. That's not a half bad track record considering how many red flags his entire operation. If there was one thing he was right about, subs are the safest vehicles on the plane...so long as they follow the standards and practices of the subs that came before them.

    Well you definitely braved this one out. I get anticipatory anxiety, and also anxiety whenever I am stuck somewhere. I have a real hard time committing to something and being stuck there, so there's no way I would ever be able to dive on a sub. It's not so much the feeling of being trapped, but it's the feeling of knowing I couldn't get out of there even if I wanted to. It scares me too much. I get it pretty bad on airplanes, but because there's so many people around on the airplane, I tend to be able to tolerate it. Also because planes are usually pretty big it helps. But this little sub? No way.

    Notice how the living spaces are shaped, especially when Ace records himself in front of the sub at the end there, underneath the yellow casing: you see that the living spaces are spherical. Spheres are much better at handling pressure as all the pressure gets distributed and is applied equally throughout the entire surface area. The Titan sub's living space was cylindrical, which would be more prone to "snapping" under pressure, especially if it's made out of carbon fiber, unlike Idabel's specialized steel. All bathyspheres and deep sea vehicles so far, afaik, have spherical "living spaces", the Titan being the only exception (and you see where that went). THis was an awesome experience btw, not many know how full of life the deep waters themselves are. Probably the last places on Earth left relatively untouched, and even they are still in danger such as from deep see fishing nets for example.
